Magic Carpet 2-The Netherworlds These Hints and Tips Provided by Alfia Khaibullina Secert Worlds There are five secret worlds in Magic Carpet II. Each one has an entrance hidden in a specific regular world, that mostly don't appear until your task is done. Secret worlds are good in three ways: 1. They are treasure houses. They are filled to the brim with experience scrolls, and you might even find a few high - power spells a little early. 2. They are not loaded with traps, like a lot of normal worlds. 3. Other wizards don't know they exist. So, if you happen to notice a menacing building, or towering mountain or something that you are pretty sure wasn't there a minute ago, blast it for a while, because it might hide an entrance to a secret world. Tips Use your fireball spell a lot. Every little fireball brings you closer to the Fire Storm, one of the most devastating high-power spells out there. After you're done with your objective, don't fly away. Kill monsters, gain mana and experience. It'll help you a lot in the long run. An easy way to recharge mana, is to fly back to your castle, switch the speed to Super Fast, and press Backspace. When you're done switch the speed to normal, and fly away. When an enemy fires a fireball or meteor style spell at you, use the Barrel Roll (the left and right strafe keys simultaniously, and make your pitiful enemy miss. Just to let you know, every successful fireball your castle firetower chucks out, counts toward your fireball experience. When you're done with your objective, use your SpeedUp spell to fly around your castle, until your mana is down. Then, recharge your mana, and repeat the process. This will bring you closer to the speed of light, SuperSpeed Plus, SpeedUp level 3. Use your rebound spell on Sentinels. First of all, it makes them die very efficiently, and second, it leads you toward Amplify, Rebound level 3. How To Deal With The Monsters Apes Apes hang out with trolls, and throw boulders like trolls. They don't throw them very fast, though, so they are relatively easy to take out. Bees You should try to avoid bees as much as you can. They are quite dangerous, persistent, difficult to shake and hard to hit. There are two efficient ways to get rid of bees: 1. Lead them to your castle, and since bees cannot get into your castle, (assuming it has walls) they will stick around the outside of your castle, and you can use your firetower to wipe them out. 2. Go into full reverse and lead them through a forest, torching it as you go. Bees are very flammable. Crabs The best way to kill 'em is to eliminate them while they're small. Cymmerian Cymmerians are very aggressive and persistent. They are not very dangerous unless encountered in packs. There is nothing you can do about the bugs that the Cymmerians turn into when killed, because they have about two seconds of invincibility after they are "born", giving them time to scatter Devil Devils like to hit you from ambush, so watch your back. They are small and agile, and the only sure way to kill them is a meteor, or some other area-effect spell. Dragon Dragons are so easy to kill! Just put your carpet in slow reverse, and shoot at them with fireballs. When they shoot at you, just side-step, and you're home-free. It takes only one meteor to kill them. Emu Riders Don't waste your time trying to kill them with fireballs. They are way too fast. They are not very dangerous, and if concentrated, a small area effect spell such as meteor is good. Fireflies Nocturnal and not very agressive, fireflies never strike first. They are sluggish and pretty easy to hit. Genie These guys could never kill even a rookie player if their life depended on it, whitch it does. It takes 5 - 10 meteors to kill them. Goat The best strategy with these guys is to get at them before someone else does. Griffin These are not dangerous unless engaged in groups. A few lightning bolts usually decintigrate them. Hydra The toughest to kill, you have to attack all the hydra's seven heads at once. A good strategy is firing a lightning storm and two meteors repeatedly. Kraken When attacking, be sure to be just close enough to see it, out of lightning bolt range. Fireball level 2 does well on these creeps. Leviathan To kill a leviathan, follow the hump around, shooting fireballs at it, and when it springs to attack, blast it with a meteor or two. Mana Worms You can't kill a mana worm. Manticore Always fly in reverse, ahead of the pack, and sidestep to dodge the stun rays. Blast 'em with everything you've got. Moon Dweller When you see a moon dweller coming down, turn on your best defence spell, and get ready to hit him with the most devastating thing you've got. Your only hope is to strike first and strike hard, taking it out before it gets a shot. Sentinel These guys are so easy to take out with the rebound spell! When you have Amplify, though, sentinels will drop like flies. Skeleton The only strategy for these guys, is to wipe 'em out with a good fire spell before they get at your castle. Spiders Spiders are fast, agile and they like to ambush you, and take you down to their webs, and sink their venomous fangs into you. They like to attack right from under your carpet, so it takes a little fancy carpet wok to get 'em where you can shoot 'em. Troglodyte These nasties are very strong, but very slow, so they are only dangerous if they manage to blind-side you while you're distracted. Troll These guys throw bolders pretty fast, and silently. They're harder to kill than apes. Vissuluth This guy is stationary during your battle, so there is no strategy to fighting him. When mana of health are dangerously low, just teleport back to your castle and recharge. Vulture These guys are not as agressive as bees, but the strategy is pretty much the same. Worm In every encounter I've ever had with a worm, it's never fired on me. If you keep distance, they ignore you, and die long before they decide to fire. Wyvern A good way to kill these nightmares, is to fire a lightning storm spell, and throw some meteors. Zombies With these guys, you just have to kill them before they drain your mana and strip away your spells. If you're done with your objectives, and you see the exit, don't get too close, or you might get pulled in. Instead, fly around the level looking for bonus stuff, such as experience scrolls. Most experience scrolls or entrances to secret worlds do not appear until your task is done. It is a good idea not to leave the level until you have squeezed everything you might want out of it.
