Indiana Jones & the infernal machine - demo walkthrough

Warning: This document spoils the entire demo! Meaning, it will tell you
exactly how to get through it, so if you enjoy a challenge, and don't want to
be told ahead of time how to get through it, stop reading!

First of all, you will start in a room with only one door leading out.
Unfortunately, the door is locked, so you will have to find another way. Make
sure to check the back corner for some first aid before leaving the room. To
get out of this room, all you have to do drag the box on the left hand side
so you can jump on top of it and make it to the raised platform. To drag the
box, just get next to it, hold down your action key (default is [Ctrl]) and
then use the down arrow.

Once you get to the platform, you will have to use the whip to swing across.
It's sometimes tricky to aim it correctly, but all you have to do is step
right to the edge and make sure you can see the post that you will be
swinging from. Once you're there, use the whip and the rest is all automatic.

After the first room, follow the passage around and climb up the ladder
(jump button and up key). At the top of the ladder, it's obvious that you
need to turn right. However, if you turn your light on, you will see a
passage to the left. Take a walk down there to get some silver coins.

After you slide down a couple of dirt ramps, you will be dropped into a room
with a torch and a window. Out the window you can see a funeral barge
floating next to a dock. Watch out for the scorpion(s) in this room.

Follow the passage downwards and you will find yourself at some water. There
are some pretty evil fish swimming around, so you may want to take them out
with your pistol before diving in. Jump in, and head to the far side of the
stair platform. There is a small ledge you can use to get out of the water.
After that jump across the small gap. You are now on top of the stair
platform. Fall down the hole.

After you drop down the hole, you will be forced to navigate another small
water tunnel. You will then find yourself inside a room filled with lava. Be
very careful not to fall in. Turn left, and jump to the ledge. Make sure to
time it so you don't get hit by the lava bursts.

Next, run (not walk, RUN) across the bridge. It's not entirely stable, so if
you don't run, you'll fall in. There is another gap to jump across, some
ledges to navigate, and another gap you will need to use your whip to cross.
After you cross that gap, run like the wind to the small cave so you don't
get crushed by the boulder!

The boulder will crush the wall it hits, so now you can go through it. Turn
left, up the ledge, and you're in a room with some silver treasure. Be
careful, because after you pick it up, some scorpions will emerge from the
small cave behind you. After that, follow the cave on and drop down into the
next area.

You will again be at a window where you can see the floating funeral barge.
Unfortunately, there's no way out other than to hit the switch. Once you do
that, watch for more of those scorpions. A door will now be open to you. Go
through it, and make sure to pick up the treasure on your way through the
next room.

Next you will have to jump across a small lava pit, but make sure to shoot
the scorpion on the other side first. Follow the passage around, and you will
be on the dock where the funeral barge used to be. Watch the water for
sharks! Underneath the dock, there is some treasure. Jump in the water, and
swim back to the ledge where you originally got up on the stair platform. You
will now have access to the barge with the key on it.

Jump back into the water, and swim over to the large engraved door. There you
will find a keyhole to open it. Just use your key (select it from the
inventory while you are at the key hole). This is also a good place to try
out your chalk. Follow the hall, and you are out in the open!

Go into the tent and pick up the medical kit. After that, go out side and get
into the Jeep! Just ignore the fools shooting at you from the ledge, they'll
get theirs later! Use the jeep to go up the steep jeep trail (there are tire
tracks so you know which one. Once on top, navigate across the bridge and
into the cave. There is some treasure in the cave, so if you want to, jump
out and get it. Then get back in and head to the next area.

You will find yourself before a bridge. You must hurry, because it's rigged
with explosives! You can use the shift key to floor it, and make sure to hit
it square on!

After the jump, follow the trail around, and you will get to another ledge.
There are two baddies guarding it, so either run them over, or jump out and
take them out normally. You will then have to get back in the Jeep to make
the jump. Unfortunately, the normal bridge has been taken out, so backtrack a
bit and find the steep Jeep trail off to the left. You can make it across the
gap by taking the high road.

After the jump, you'll be inside another cave (with some more treasure).
After you leave it, you will have to take out some more baddies. Here,
there's no way to make the jump, so you have to find a way to fix the bridge.
There is a board on the right side of the bridge that you can use.

After that jump, you will be forced into another cave. It's a pretty tricky
drive, but you can do it! Turn left for an idol, then right for the way out.
At the end, there are some more baddies to take out (it's most fun to just
run them over). You can jump out and take their weapons too. A shiny new
machine gun!

After that, drive up the ledge, and you are finished! Your pal is there to
hook you up with a helicopter ride.
