Let's get this out of the way first: You may use this walkthrough to help you play the game and you may put it on your own site. If you do so, please keep my name, URL and e-mail address on the walkthrough. I could mention that all of my work is protected by copyright, but what's the use…..I have neither the time nor the resources to start legal action against anyone who violate this copyright. I can only hope that you are not one of those people who would pass someone else's work for his own by putting your name as the author of this walkthrough on this document and then put it on his site. Believe me, there are a lot of such people who do this.

When you start a NEW GAME, the game starts with a beautiful "Fly-By" of the Zoological Research vessel the USS DARKSTAR. The date is August the 6th of December 2066. This "Fly By" introduction movie ends at a window and through this window we look into the interior of the USS DARKSTAR. We see a Barney who's walking up to the door of a cabin to give Gordon Freeman his wake up call. It's time that Freeman begins his duty shift on board the

USS DARKSTAR

Before the accident

Walk to the door of your cabin. The door goes open and the Barney greets you with a friendly "Good morning Mr.. Freeman, it looks likes you're running late" and then he's walking away to the right. Well, that's nice to know, you are, again, Gordon Freeman, the hero from the original Half Life game.

Turn around and walk over to your closet. Use your "Use" key to open up the closet. In it you'll find your HEV-suit. Put it on and then turn around again and walk back to the cabin door. Go outside and turn right. You are in a hallway and, to the right, Barney is waiting for you at the big Retinal Scanner door to let you through. But let him wait for a bit first and go forwards and then through the door on your right into the cabin. In here, a Scientist is sitting on his bunk bed. He isn't very talkative, so turn to the left and get the HEV-cannister from the floor, next of the desk. Then go out again and now go to the Barney at the Retinal Scanner door.

The Barney will open up this door for you, so go through it and then to the right and then down the ramp to the next floor. When you're one floor down, go through the big door and then straight ahead into the little restroom. Here are two Scientist playing with a laptop at the table, a Barney is resting on the bench and an other Barney is staring through a window on the right. None of them is very talkative. Enter through the door on the left site of the table and say hello to Walter. Then go out again and again into the "staircase" and follow it down again. Again one floor down, you come up at the door of the "Captains Quarters". This door is closed, so you can not go through it. Go further down and you'll end up at the bottom floor of this "staircase". There's a doorway on your right, but first go to the left and to the end. Again a gray door, but it's closed and this door will never be open. Next of this door however are the first Health and Hev Terminals on the wall. Do not use them just now, you have no need of it just yet. Leave them for when you really need Health and Hev, later on in the game. Go back to the other door and now go through it. A big hallway. Go to the end and there will be a LOADING

Go through the door and you have entered the USS DARKSTAR's Zoological section, as you can read on the sign on the wall. To the left you can see the reception counter. Go there and say hello to the Barney behind it and also to the Scientist.

This Zoological section has 6 floors, and you are now on the lower floor, Z-6. You need to go up to the Quarantine Chamber on the second floor, Z-2, because there is your work station. On all the floors, the corridors are connection. In fact all these corridors goes round.

From the reception counter, follow the corridor to the left. It goes down and then to the right, down again, right again, left and then right again. Now you are between two elevators. Above the doors of these elevators you'll read: "Z-6". ( you can go on following the corridor all the way and look into the different test chambers. As I said, these corridors go round and you shall end up at the reception counter again and then you follow the corridor back to these 2 elevators).

The left elevator doesn't work, so go in the right elevator and ride it up. It will take you to the next floor, Z-5. You can confirm this by looking above the door of the elevator when you get out of it. Now you need to find the next elevator that will bring you up to the next floor, Z-4

When you come out the Z-6 elevator the corridor right in front of you, with the Barney in it, is a dead end. But on the back wall there you can find a Health and a Hev Terminal. Again, save them for later on in the game. Go back to the elevator and then follow the corridor to the left. Pass the elevator, the corridor takes a right turn, right again, left down the little stairs to the "pond" and then to the right and you are at the next elevator. It's at your right. Don't go in this elevator yet. First walk onto the railing and look down. Beneath you, you'll see a Scientist who is "torturing" an Aliën and if you wait a few seconds you'll see that this experiment isn't going to well. After the dead of this Scientist, go back to the elevator, enter it and ride it up to the next floor. Go out the elevator, turn around and look above the elevator and you'll see that, indeed, you are on the Z-4 floor. Go to the right through the short corridor. LOADING

After the loading, go right (to the left it's a dead end at a closed door) and when the corridor takes a right turn you'll see the next Z-4 elevator in the right corner. But this elevator is "out of order". So, go on with following the corridor to the back, turn to the right en immediately again right and go up the metal stairs. This will bring you op to Level Z-3.

Follow the corridor and it will bring you into an other corridor. Here, go left into a small control room with a big console in front of the windows on the right side. Go through this room to the door at the back, go through this door and turn right. You are in a little hallway an on the wall are HEV and Health Terminals. Again, do not use them, you still do not need them. Nothing has happens yet. Go down the metal stairs and at the bottom, go left and through the "glass" tunnel (on top of it is a Grunt, but right now he is harmless, but later on in the game you will have to kill him) and then through the long tiled tunnel. At the end of this tunnel there's a ramp and a stairs to the left. Go up the ramp to the elevator. Open the elevator and ride it up. When you step out of this last elevator, turn left and look at the sign on the wall. At last, you are now on level Z-2. Turn around and follow the corridor. It takes a right turn and then you are at a door and here there will be a LOADING.

Go through the door and turn left. You are in a hallway and right in front of you a stone stairs is going up. To your left is a side hall. At the end of the hallway is a big door. Go to that door. It won't go open, but through the window you can read the sign on the wall and you know that this is the door you have to go through, because it will bring you into the "Quarantine Area", and that is where your workstation is. Turn around and go back to the stone stairs. Go up the stairs. When you are upstairs a Scientist comes out the hall to the left and he will greet you. The Scientist then walks to the big window and he looks through it. Go stand next to him and also look through the big window. You see the Shuttle Bay. A Shuttle is coming in and lands into the Bay. As soon as the shuttle has landed you here the Scientist say "Lets Go" and then he walks away. FOLLOW him and he goes down the stairs and to the closed Quarantine Door. The Scientist will open up this door for you, so go through it and then turn right, left and left again and you are at the glass door of the "Sterilization Room". Behind this Sterilization Room is the Quarantine Area. The Glass door goes open, so step through it into the Sterilization Room. The glass door closes behind you. Walk to the glass door in front of you en look through it into the Quarantine Area and now you can not do anything, just wait for the ACCIDENT to happens…….

Before your eyes you will see the accident happens and this accident will be the beginning of the end for the USS DARKSTAR. In the room behind the glass door, a Barney is lying on the research table. This Barney has been contaminated during a recent expedition on a nearby planet. The purpose of that expedition has been to capture a few nice aliens to "play with" on board the USS DARKSTAR. Two medical Scientists are currently busy with this Barney. Suddenly Barney's body burst open and a Headcrab jumps out of his body. One of the Scientist panics and runs in to the cubicle in the corner and there he turns on the "Incineration" wheel. He shout not have done this. The Incineration beam causes 2 gas tanks to explode and this explosion is followed by other explosions and one of them breaks the glass door and knocks you down. The result of all these explosion is that know all of the computerized security systems of the USS DARKSTAR is out of order and therefore all of those "nice" aliens that we have on board are set free.

Alright: A Scientist wakes you up. Well "the shit has hit the fan" and there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent the total destruction of the USS DARKSTAR. All you can do is to save your own skin. In order to do so you'll need to find the ESCAPE PODS of the USS DARKSTAR. There's only one problem…these Escape Pods are on the front side of the USS DARKSTAR and you are at the back side. So you will need to find your way through the "Bowls" of the ship in order to reach the Escape Pods and then you must pray that there is still an Escape Pod in working order so that you can escape from the USS DARKSTAR, just in time before it explode.

After the Accident

After the Scientist has wake you up, go through the Sterilization Chamber into the Quarantine chamber. You have no weapons, only your fists. Go into the cubicle and try out the Incineration button for yourself. Just push the red button and you will see a nice red beam, just as you saw when that Scientist pushes this button. Well, now you now that this device still is in working order. Go to the back of this room, turn left and…..Shit…..two Mutants are coming down the corridor towards you. Quickly, turn around and go back to the Incineration button and then look over your shoulder and when you see that the first Mutant is at the research table, HIT the RED BUTTON to incinerate him. Then wait for the second mutant to reach the table and repeat this process. When you have successfully incinerate both mutants, go into the corridor where they came out of. The door on your right, in the first bit of this corridor, is closed, so follow the corridor all the way to the back. It comes to a dead end at the "Research Test Chamber Door". Turn around and go back through the corridor. The door that was closed will go open now. A Mutant steps through it into the corridor. Do not get hit by him and run back into the Quarantine room and to the Incineration button and repeat the process of incinerate this third Mutant. When he is out of the way, go through the door he came out of.

You have entered a cargo bay and right in front of you is a fork truck. Walk through this room to the back and you'll come up at the big shuttle bay doors. They are closed. Go back to the fork truck, get on to it and start the thing and then go full speed and crouch. The fork truck rides its designated route through this storage room and it will crash through some barrels that are in its way and then it goes right through the big shuttle bay doors and you are in the shuttle bay. Stop the fork truck and get of it at the right side. In front of you stands the shuttle and in front of the shuttle a Barnacle hangs from the ceiling. In the right corner a metal stairs goes up to a door and in front of this stairs you'll see the dead body of a Barney lying on the floor.

From that corner, a couple of Headcrabs are coming towards you. Quickly, run around the backside of the shuttle and then towards the body in front of the stairs. Hopefully you have avoided those Headcrabs. From the body of the dead Barney, go to the front of the Shuttle but stay out of the way of that Barnacle. Just in front of the Barnacles tentacle lies a crowbar on the floor. Pick it up and use it to smash the Headcrabs that attacks you by now. Then go back to the body at the stairs and smash the crate with the crowbar and you can pick up your first fire weapon. It's a pistol. Break the other crate here for some additional ammo and then go up the stairs to that door. It's shut and it won't go open. Go back down the stairs and then to the other side of the shuttle, where you have left the fork truck. By now the doors of the shuttle will go open and a few Headcrabs will jump out of the shuttle to attack you. You can best use the Crowbar on them to save your pistol ammo for later. Then climb into the shuttle, but take care because there will be a few Headcrabs left in the shuttle. One is behind the fence on the left and the other one is in the cockpit. Kill them and go into the cockpit. A dead scientist sits in the right chair. Look up to the front window of the shuttle and you'll see the machinegun of the shuttle. Use your "USE" key to activate the turret and then use the turret to kill the Barnacle and then aim it on the door above the stairs and shoot the door down. Leave the shuttle and go up the stairs again and then through the door.

Now you are in the corridor where you looked through the window into the shuttle bay, before the accident. A dead Barney is lying here now. Pick up his machinegun and when you do so, the door to your right goes halfway open. Turn left and begin to walk slowly towards the stone stairs at the end of the corridor. After a few steps there will be an electrical discharge in front of you blocking your way to the stone stairs. you can not go any further that way, so turn around and go back and now go through the halfway open door, then go right, left and you are in a hallway with a Z-1 elevator shaft. This elevator is out of order and the doors won't go open. On the floor, left of the elevator shaft, sits a wounded scientist and he tells you that this Z-1 elevator shaft is the only way out for you. But you'll need a special Key Card to open up the this Z-1 elevator doors. There is a Barney who has such a special key card and this Barney is somewhere on one of the lower floors. So, you'll need to find this Barney and get his key card for this elevator shaft and then return here.

Finding the Z-1 Key Card

First, follow this corridor, it goes to the right and then there's a fence in the corner with a Barney behind it. I expect that by now your health is pretty low, so do not open up this fence right now and do not stay here. This Barney will be attacked by a couple of those little Beatles that will come down out of the ceiling and if you stay to help the Barney I really do not think you will survive this. Go further down this corridor to the end and you'll be in the Observation Lounge. Here you'll find, on the right wall, an HEV Terminal and an Health Terminal. So use them and then return to the fence in the corner of the corridor.

By now the Barney has killed the little beetles, or the little Beatles have killed the Barney. Either way, you can now open up the fence and pick up the Laser Mine that's behind it. If the Barney is dead, then pick up his weapon also. Go back to the Z-1 elevator shaft with the wounded scientist beside it and there go through the small door in the other corner. You are then on a metal walkway above the cargo bay where you went through with the fork truck. Walk to the left and climb down the ladder, break a little crate with the crowbar for an HEV-Cannister and walk through the cargo bay again to the shuttle bay, break an other crate and go into the shuttle bay again.

Go up the stairs again and then again into the corridor. You will get hit by the electric beam, but your HEV suit protects you. Turn left and see….those electrical beams that where blocking your way to the stone stairs earlier, are gone now. Just before the stone stairs is a right turn. Go in there, kill the Headcrab and then go to the back. Break a few crates for some ammo and activate the Barney who's standing here. Tell hem to follow you. You can use his extra firepower. Go back to the stone stairs and now go down the stairs and make sure the Barney is right behind you. When you are down the stone stairs, quickly turn to the right and kill the 2 Headcrabs who are at the Quarantine door. Then go into the little hallway to the left and then to the right into a control room. Walk to the back of this room and break the crate to find some ammo. Go back to the stone stairs and then through the door on your right and follow the short corridor to the Z-2 Elevator. The Barney stays here but you go into the elevator and ride it down.

Step out of the elevator and kill the Mutant who's eating a dead scientist down the ramp. Then go down the ramp and you are back on Level Z-4. Turn left and kill the two Alien Slaves, then quickly turn around and kill the other two Alien Slaves and the Grunt in the tiled tunnel before you. Go through the first part of the tunnel but when you go around the corner a part of the tunnel will collapse. A Grunt will attack you from behind the rubble. Go back to the end of the corridor and go to the metal stairs. Do not go up the stairs, but go passed it to the left and then to the right and climb up the little ladder in the corner. Kill the Headcrab and then smash the little crate in this little alcove for an HEV-cannister. Go back to the metal stairs and now go up this stairs. On the next floor the Z-3 door is a little bit open, but you can not go through it, so go up the next stairs and then to the right into a little control room. Go the window at the back of this control room. Break this window with your crowbar and climb through it onto the red/brown ledge. Kill the Houndey that's coming towards you and then follow this ledge through the tunnel and then it takes a left turn. This ledge runs above the tiled tunnel. After the left turn, jump over the gap and then follow the ledge further until you're down in the sand at the "glass" tunnel. Well, the glass of the tunnel is broken now, so step onto the path, turn left and kill the Grunt. Turn around and go through the opening and you're at the next metal stairs. Do not go up this stairs yet, but go to the left of it, push the barrel to the back and then break the crate that's under the stairs to find some ammo.

Now go up the stairs and when you're on top, use the Health and the Hev Terminals and then go through the door. Now you are back in that small control room with the big console before the big window. Go into the small room behind the scientist who's standing at the end of the console. Break the 3 crates here for some ammo and go back to the scientist. Then turn left and follow the corridor again. It takes a right turn and then immediately turn to your right and stop. You're now looking into a corridor and there's a dead Barney at your feet. His shotgun lies beside him, but there's an electrical problem, so crouch and stay down and go forwards, pick up the shotgun and then crouch until you are past the fallen down grid, stand up again and go to the back of this corridor.

A stairs is going down here, but first go to the door at the left and go through it into a large control room. Kill the Houndey here and pick up the ammo from the dead Barney. Go out again and now go down the stairs. A dead Barney is lying here. Get his ammo and then you'll need to kill a couple of Houndeyes here around this stairs. When you have don this, go right passed this stairs to the back, then to the right into the corridor and then into the first left turn and you are back at the Z-4 elevator. A wounded Barney lies on the floor here and this Barney has the Z-1 Key Card you need. The Barney tells you that you'll need to go to the BRIDGE of the USS DARKSTAR because there you should find a working Escape Pod. He also tells you about his Key Card and then he dies. Don't forget to pick up his Key Card.

Now you'll need to take the exact same route back to the Z-1 elevator above the shuttle bay. There are a few problems underway, so let me guide you.

Back to the Z-1 elevator

Turn around and go back to the metal stairs. Go back up the stairs to level Z-3 and go back through the corridor and at the end crouch again to avoid that electrical problem and crouch back into the next corridor. Turn right and kill the Alien Slave, turn around and go left into that control room again and go through the door at the back again. Go down the stairs again, but take care of the electrical problem here. When you are again down this stairs, go left to the broken glass tunnel, but as you know, you can not go through the tunnel. So turn left and go up the ramp and follow the red/brown ledge again, jump over the gap and go through the little tunnel and then go to the back until you are under the window. You'll need to go through this window again, but this is a bit tricky. First you'll need to climb onto the lowers part of the ledge that runs under the window and that's on the left side. Then walk over the ledge to the window and climb through it. Walk on and go left and down the two metal stairs again and then up the ramp to the elevator. Ride it up again to level Z-2 and when you get out of this elevator the Barney that you left behind here, is still standing here. Make him follow you again and go right to the door again. LOADING

Go through the door and then left and again up the stone stairs. When you're upstairs, two Mutants will come towards you and there will also be a Mutant in the corridor left of you. Let's hope that Barney will deal with that one while you take care of the two in front of you. Then go straight through the halfway open door and then right and left and you are back at the Z-1 elevator.

There's no elevator in the shaft. It's just an empty shaft and you have to go down it to Level Z-6. It's a long way down, but luckily you will land into water because a large part of Level Z-6 is now underwater. So use the button, left of the elevator door. The button will work now because you have the Key Cart. Unfortunately, when you push that button the elevator door goes only a little bit up and then it will fall down again. So, push the button again and quickly crouch and crawl underneath the door and drop down into the shaft. As I said the bottom half of the shaft is underwater, so swim up and fill your lungs full with air.

Underwater Level Z-6

You'll need to go through parts of Level Z-6 again, but it's partly underwater this time and in the corridors you will encounter a big fish, an Ichyosaurus. You do not have a good weapon to kill this big fish quickly. The only weapons that you have and that will work underwater are the crowbar and the pistol. I think that the pistol is called the Glock, but it's not a very good weapon to kill the Ichyosaurus with. The best thing to do here is to avoid this big fish altogether. You could go directly from the elevator shaft to the exit of this underwater level, but then you will miss the EGON Gun (at least I think it's called the EGON). So, if you wish to collect this gun also, try the following.

Dive underwater in the Z-1 elevator shaft and turn to the elevator door witch is now underwater. Swim underneath the door into the corridor (you can swim up in the corridors for air because the water doesn't go all the way up to the ceilings). Go right and then left and you'll see a door in the wall in front of you that's partly open. The corridor takes a right turn there and in that corridor swims that big Ichyosaurus. It will spot you and it will come after you. Swim back to the elevator shaft and go in it again, take some air in, dive under water again and peek underneath the door into the corridor. The Ichty has followed you but he will swim pass the elevators and goes into the left corridor. Quickly, swim out the shaft again and go right and left again. At the partly open door go right and you'll see a niche in the wall. Swim to that niche (again, you can get your breath by swimming up) and face this niche. Push your crouch key to lower yourself and then swim into this niche, break the window with your crowbar and swim into the room (again you can get air when you swim up) swim to the closet and get the Egon Gun (I think this thing is called the Egon, but I'm not sure. I always get those names wrong. I'm not into weapons) that's lying on top. Now swim back to that window and look through it into the corridor. Is that Ichty already back here? If so wait in this room to let the Ichty pass and then swim out through the window and swim back to the elevator shaft.

You have the Egon and are back at the elevators.

The Ichyosaurus will always swim from the right corridor into the left corridor and there he will swim al the way to the back and then he turns and come back again. But probably by now the Ichty is already back in the right corridor and it will not bother you again if you are quick enough. Swim passed the elevators into the left corridor, follow it and then the corridor takes a left turn. You will come at an crossing. Here you can go to the left or straight ahead. The corridor to the left will bring you to a dead end. So, at this crossing, go straight ahead to the end and there go underneath the halfway open door into a little room. Turn to the right and swim through the short tunnel to the back and find the ladder and climb out of the water.

You are now in one of those "incubation" chambers and right next of you stands a kind of alien "tree". Avoid its tentacles and take a few steps forwards towards the wall and then turn to the right. There's a pond in this room and on the other side you'll see the door to the corridors of Level Z-5 where you have to go through. Probably that door will go open now and a few Headcrabs will come through it. Also you'll see a little ladder coming out of the water. You could try to kill those Headcrabs from your side of the pond with your shotgun or pistol, but that will cost you your ammo. Jump into the water. Swim underwater to that little ladder and climb out of the water again. Kill the Headcrabs with your crowbar and then go through the door into the Z-5 corridors.

Go to the right and then immediately turn left. There's a Barney and an scientist here, but you do not need them. Break all the crates here for some ammo and then follow this corridor to the right again and all the way to the back. This corridor is a dead end, but left of you is a big door. First use the Hev and the Health Terminals here and then push the door button to open up the door. Step through the door onto the iron grate with the dead Barney lying on it. Get the machinegun from the dead Barney.

You are now standing on a iron grate above a water room and at the back of this room you'll see to exits. Behind the left exit there's one of those "Spitting Beast", so take care. Jump down into the water and swim underwater through the left exit and then go to the right and then right again and go up the ramp and you are out of the water again. If you do this quickly enough then you will take minimal damage from that "Spitting Beast" that's behind the left exit of the water room.

You are now back at the beginning of the Zoological section. Go to the reception. In the corridor are now a few of those big floating mushroom like aliens (Sorry, I just keep forgetting how they are called), so kill them and also those little transparent critters. Meanwhile the alarm has gone of and that's a very annoying sound. In front of the reception counter you'll see a grate in the floor, but there's a big stone on this grate. Go behind the reception counter and push the button on the counter. The alarm will be shut of now, but a Mutant will break through that floor grate. Kill him and then go to that hole in the floor where he came out and climb down the ladder or just jump down and follow this shaft. The shaft goes, left, left, kill Mutant, right, right, turn on your flashlight and go down the small stone stairs. LOADING

Down the stone steps the shaft takes another right turn, then right again and then you are in a metal corridor with grates on the floor. Follow this corridor to the back and then to the left and go down the metal stairs, then left, left again, turn on your flashlight, and go right down the stairs and you come in a big room with on both side 2 cellblocks. You are now in the:

Containment Area

This part consists of a few steel rooms with cells. You will encounter the big Mamma Crab here. In this first room are 4 cells, two on the right and two on the left side. There is a big door at the back and that's the exit. But this big door is closed. Also the 4 cells are locked. Go to the big metal door at the big of this room and there turn right. Put on your flashlight and go into the "alley" next to the last right cell and there go up the ladder. You'll come onto the floor above the cells. Go to the back and into the control room. Here, look out the window and you'll see that you are now above the room with the 4 cells and the big metal door. Push all 5 buttons. 3 of the buttons will open up 3 off the cells and one of the buttons will open up the big metal door. When you see that that big door is open now leave this control room at the left side and break the crate and go back to the ladder and climb down again. In one of the now open cells lies a dead Barney. Go get his shotgun. Save game now and then go through the big metal door into the next big hallway.

As soon as you step into this next big hallway there’s another cell in front of you and this cell is open. In it is the nest of the big Mamma Crab and she’s very angry at you. Soon she will come out of this cell to kill you. The big door at the right of this hallway is closed and the door button is broken. By now the big Mamma Crab is coming out of her cell. Quickly, run back into the first cell area. But here there are coming Mutants down the metal stairs. Mamma Crab follows you into the first area and she’s spitting her baby’s at you. First kill those Mutants and then concentrate on killing Mamma Crab. You can kill her easily if you target her big sack that’s hanging underneath her belly. 3 or 4 bullets will do the trick.

When you have killed Mamma Crab, go back into the second hallway and there go the door at the right side. This door is still closed but if you shoot at the door button then this door will go open. Go through it and then turn left and follow this steel corridor. It takes a left turn and then you’ll see, straight ahead and on the right side, an pile of crates and in front of it a blue generator. Go behind this blue generator and the pile of crates. Straight ahead of you is a room where a few mutants are busy roistering an scientist above a fire. Go that way, but then go into the cell on your left. Pick up the Crossbow here and go through the hole in the right wall and you are in that room with the fire. Kill the mutants here, break the crates for some Hev and Ammo (there will be more Mutants coming from different directions towards you, so take care and kill them all) and then go, behind the fire, into the next bit of the steel corridor. It takes another left turn. Kill the Grunt and go through the halfway open big steel door. Now you are in the last bit of this corridor but the door at the back is closed. Go to that door and then look through the window in the left wall.

Behind this window is an control room with an Hev and Health Terminal. You’ll need to get into that room to open up the big door. Go back to the halfway open steel door and then turn to the right and go through the small opening. Well, now just follow this small steel corridor to that control room that you saw through the window. There are a few alien slaves to kill in this small corridor and one of them will probably come out of a toilet. When you are in that control room, kill the remaining alien slaves, use the Hev and the Health Terminals and then go in front of the window. Push the two buttons beneath the window and you’ll see that big door in the corridor goes open and you have switch off that annoying alarm. Follow the small corridor back into the main corridor and there go through the now open big door at the back and you are in an even wider corridor with grates on the floor. Follow this corridor to the back and go through the Hangar Bay 02 doors. You are now standing in a big freight elevator. Push the button and this elevator will bring you down and into:

Hangar Bay 02 and the rooms beyond

Step out the elevator. You'll see 2 technicians getting killed by one of those alien "bats". You are now in Hangar Bay 02 and to the right of you is OPEN SPACE, so do not fall out the USS DARKSTAR there. From SPACE a couple of those floating Mushroom aliens will come in. To the left there are 2 Barnacles hanging on the ceiling and there is a fork truck at the left wall. Behind this fork truck is the door that you want to go through. It is the door to the freezer rooms, but it is locked. The button to open this door is behind the pile of crates against the wall.

Well: First run through the bay to the other side and go into the small corridor in the rear left corner. It's a dead end, kill the little beast here and turn around and walk back so that you look into the hangar bay. Now try to kill all of those floating aliens and the two Barnacles and then go to the pile of crates and break all the breakable crates so that you can reach the door button on the wall behind the boxes. Push the button and then go through the door into the freezer rooms. Follow the only route through these cold rooms, kill a couple of Headcrabs while you go and at the back of these rooms you'll come up at an scientist who is trying to wake up a wounded Barney. When he has succeeded in doing this, go to the Barney and activate him so that he will follow through the next couple of rooms. Then go to the right and then through the door on your left.

Go through this kind of kitchen. An alien slave will break in through the door, kill him or let the Barney do so. Then go through the door on the right of the door that slave came through and follow the next corridor. It takes a left turn, then again left and then you are at a stairs that's going down into the large restroom. You see a Mutant who's pulling an scientist into a ventilation shaft, to the right of the soft drinks machine. Go down the stairs (the Barney is still following you) and then go right through the restroom to the back wall. You will have to kill a couple of Houndeyes in this restroom and that Barney is a big help. When you are at the back wall of this restroom, the door in this wall won't go open. Turn to the right and pick up some ammo at the corpse of the dead Barney. Turn around again and you'll see a little hallway in the corner. Turn on your flashlight and go through the door in that corner and follow the dark small corridor. Kill the Mutant that you will encounter in this corridor and then there is a LOADING.

The small corridor takes a right turn and then a left turn and then you can go through the door at your left into an toilet room. Here, kill the Alien Slave and pick up the ammo at the dead Barney and then go out into the corridor again and go left, right and then right along the wall with all the little green lights on it. straight ahead is an console and there you can pick up an Hev-canister. Then go left and walk straight to the big outer windows. Turn left and kill the Mutant who's sitting on the couch. Turn around and kill the Mutant at the pillar, who's playing with an dead scientist. Then walk in that directions and then all the way to the back of this room and there go through the short corridor and you will experience an "earthquake". The USS DARKSTAR is shaking. Go back to the room with the pillars and you'll see that a piece of the ceiling has come down. There is a Grunt coming towards you, so kill him and return on your steps through the short corridor. Tot the right you can break a crate in this dead end corridor and then you turn around an go into the last room in front of you.

This is a small room with 2 consoles on the left and at the back also two consoles. In the middle of the room a big part of the ceiling has come down and you can use it as a ramp to climb up. So climb onto this hanging down ceiling part and then crouch up and get into the ceiling crawl space. Turn on your flashlight and kill a couple of Headcrabs with your crowbar.

This ceiling crawlspace is divided into 4 pieces . First get through the first fence into the big central part of this space. Here go the red light at the left wall. There's a dead Barney lying there. Get the Handgrenates an the colt ammo. Then crawl back to the middle and then to the left and go through the next fence. Be careful, do not get to close to the whole in the ceiling because if you fall down, then you will have to do this part all over again. Crawl passed this to the other side of it and then to the left. beyond this hole is the next part of this crawl space and you can get there by going over the small ledge that runs along the wall and the hole. So do so, and then quickly crawl through this third part of the crawl space to the wall. Kill some Headcrabs again and in the part beyond the hole, go through the third fence on the left and then you are in the last part of this crawl space. Go to the red light in the back wall. Break through the ventilation grid, to the left of this red light, get into the ventilation shaft and crawl through it and at the end you break through the next grate. You are now looking into a big hallway with light blue tiles on the floor and you'll see that this is the beginning of the train system. In the upper left corner of your screen you'll see a Barney standing at the big windows. Jump out of the ventilation shaft and go down the stairs and then go to that Barney. You'll experience another "earthquake".

The Barney is of no use of you in the next part, but you could break all the crates here for ammo and then go into the control room between the two train rails. Be careful, a Bullsquid is sitting under the console and the beast will spit at you. Kill it and then push the Red Button at the right. The right train tunnel is now open, so go out of the control room and go onto the right train tracks and follow it into the train tunnel. The train tunnel goes down, walk on. After a few steps down you'll see the train coming through the tunnel towards you. Quickly, turn around and RUN back through the tunnel to the hallway ad get the hell of the tracks. The train will stop at the end of the track.

Train tunnels and beyond:

You can go by railcar now, or you could walk through the tunnels. I guess you’ll take the railcar.

So, go into the train car. Activate it and push the reverse button because you’ll have to ride backwards through the train tunnel. Turn around so that you can see through the tunnel while the train car is riding through it. The train car will bring you down at the next stop. The tunnel is blocked by a closed door, so you can not go any further here through the train tunnel. In front of the door stands a Grunt. Kill him and then jump of the car onto the platform. Kill the two Barnacles hanging on the ceiling and then turn left and look up. From above you a Bullsquid spits its venom at you, so kill it and then go around the corner to the left into the corridor. The corridor takes a left turn. Kill the next Bullsquid and as soon as you have done this the way back to the platform will be closed by a gate, but also in front of you will be a gate then blocking your way further down the corridor. Just wait here patiently for that gate in front of you to disappear again and then go follow this corridor again. There will be a LOADING

Warehouse:

Follow the corridor and you go down a stairs and enter in to a big Storage warehouse. It is full with piles of big crates. Go left through this room, then again left and then straight and then you see, to the left, a Medkit lying on the floor. By now several Mutants will break out a couple of the big crates here, so kill them. Beware of more Mutants that will come out of some more crates while you here. Turn to the right and you see the big "Hangar Bay 03" door. This door is locked so you can not go through it. But just in front of this door you’ll see one lonely little wooden crate standing on the floor. Do not Break this little wooden crate. You’ll need it to climb on top of one of the big crates. Turn around to face that med kit on the floor again. Beyond this med kit you’ll see an other big metal door in the other wall. Go to that door. This door won’t go open either and to the left and to the right of it there are piles of big crates, above this door there’s a catwalk. To the right you’ll see a small door and it’s locked also. Above the small door you’ll see an open room. Well, you need to get into that room above the small door.

Before the big crates, to the left of the big door, you’ll see a Generator. First you’ll need to climb onto that generator and than onto the big crate that’s behind this generator. But the generator is to high to climb onto from the floor. So go back to the little wooden crate that’s in front of the "Hanger Bay 03" door and push through the room until you have this crate in front of the generator. Meanwhile, while you are pushing the little wooden crate, you’ll need to fight of a couple of Mutants.

When you have the little wooden crate against the generator, then climb onto it and then climb on top of the generator, the climb on top the first row of big crates behind the generator. Turn left and perform a crouch/jump over the gap onto the next row of crates. Then turn left and now you’re facing that room above the small door again and straight in front of you is another big crate against the wall and on top of it you’ll see a metal crate. So jump over onto that crate, break the metal crate and then jump op to the room above the small door.

By now a Grunt appears on the catwalk above the big door, so "offer" him one of your grenades. Use the Health and Hev Terminals here and break the crate and push the red button to open up the big door. Under the console you'll see a ventilation duct in the wall. Crouch and crawl to this grate ad break this grate and then crawl in to the shaft. Use your crowbar to kill the beetles here and then break the grate in the floor and drop down the hole. You fall down into a kind of cell and there's a dead Barney on the floor. Collect all the ammo and the Hev canisters here and then go into the small corridor behind the corpse and follow it. It goes, left, left, through the door, left, left, up the stairs, right (straight ahead you see the room above the small door again) and immediately right again, kill Mutant, left, down the stairs, left, kill the Mutant and then go through the door. Now you're back at the warehouse at the generator. The big door is open now, so go through it and you are back in the train tunnel, but now on the other side of the closed door.

Step onto the rail and follow the tunnel to the right and down. All the way down you come up at an derailed railcar that is blocking this tunnel. Go to it. behind you there will be an explosion which make a big hole in the right tunnel wall. But first climb onto the derailed railcar and break the crates that are on it. you'll need the duck to reach the front side of the car. Then climb back and now go through the hole in the wall and then turn to the left.

You are now in a small low crawl space with a big fan in the back wall. The fan is on so it's pretty windy here. First kill the Headcrabs here. Against the right wall lies a scientist and there you'll see a big panel in the wall with a yellow light. To the left and under this wall panel is a button. Push this button to shut of the fan. Then go to the fan and turn right and then Crouch. Turn on your flashlight. You'll see, behind the corpse in the corner, a ventilation duct. Break this grate and crawl into the ventilation shaft and follow this short shaft and at the end crawl out again and you are in the Gravity Generator Chamber. SAVE YOUR GAME HERE

Gravity Generator Chamber:

When you crawl out of the short ventilation shaft you enter a very high and round room, but not directly in the room itself but in a low tunnel that runs around it. Just walk a little bit to the left and then go through the opening on the right and you're in the Gravity Generator Chamber itself. That very high thing in the middle of this room is the Gravity Generator. Here you'll have to deal with a lot of those Floating Mushroom Aliens, so it's advisable to get them out of the way first. If you're lucky then a good number of those Aliens get killed by the radiation of the Generator itself. You can shoot the others from within the round tunnel.

This next part is a bit difficult to explain, but I shall do my very best. The room very high and round and there is very little gravity in this room. When you are in the room and then look up, you'll will see that, one floor up, there's an other tunnel going round this room just like the one that runs along the bottom, and further up there's a ledge running all around the room and all the way op you spot a big window. You'll need to reach that big window that's high above you and break through it to get into the room behind it. Here's what you need to do:

Then go out through the small door on the right, down the stairs, left and follow the small corridor straight ahead. You will go over the catwalk of the warehouse and then further through the small corridor that then takes a left turn again. LOADING.

You will end up on a platform above the train platform where you have started this section. To the right is a dead Barney lying around here and there's an console with a Red Button. Get the gun from the corpse and push that Red Button. The next door in the train tunnel will go open now and the railcar is coming through it. Jump down at the console, make sure to land on top off the iron crate beneath you. then turn to the left and jump onto to beam that's going down and walk of it onto the train platform. Turn left and kill the Alien Slave in the opening of the small corridor and also an Headcrab. Then get on to the rail car and start it up and drive it backwards through the door into the Fusion Reactor Chamber:

Fusion Reactor Chamber Part One and beyond:

This is a very big, deep and also high "Room". Well it's not exactly a "room". You'll see the big Fusion Reactor and there are two rail tracks going through this "room". You are on the lowest rail track. Above you is the high rail track. You're rail cart is going down through this room and then it will take you through the lowest door on the other side. Later on in the game we will be back here and then there's no railcar to take you through this room again.

So the rail car takes you through the Fusion Reactor Chamber and then it takes you through the lowest door on the other side. Then it stops at the next door at and there's a platform on your right. That door is closed again so the car can not go any further here. Be careful because from the back of the platform two Alien Slaves fire a with 2 turrets from behind a barricade at you. Quickly, jump onto the platform and get rid of those two Slaves with a few well placed grenades. Then break all the breakable crates here for ammo and a Medkit and then turn on your flashlight and walk over to the barricade and climb over it. behind the barricade turn right and go to the Health and Hev Terminals and use them. Then turn left and go up the stairs and then left into a short dead end corridor. Kill the Alien Slave and then go through the door on your left into a storage closet. In this closet stands a scientist. Break the crate here, in the right corner for some ammo and then go out again and back down the stairs to the platform. Go to the right corner and switch on your flashlight again, turn a bit to the left and then go down the stairs and you will come in a kind of Lounge.

In front of the stairs you came down is a glass elevator door and on the sign it said "Teleport Terminus". This door will not go open. To your right is another elevator shaft and there you read that this is the "Bridge Access" elevator. When you look through this shaft to the other side then you'll see an third glass elevator door and that is the "Escape Pod" elevator.

Facing the "Teleport Terminus" elevator, turn to the left and then go to the dead scientist and the dead Barney who are lying in front of the soda machines on the floor. Kill a few of those little red beetles that then come out of the soda machines and then get the gun from the dead Barney, but be careful that you don't fall out the "window" into outer space. Then go back to the "Bridge Access" elevator shaft and there push the Red Button. The glass door goes open, so step into the shaft but step right back out again because there will be an explosion all the way up in this shaft and the rubble that will fall down through the shaft could hurt you. but this rubble will also break the other glass door of this shaft, so when things are clear again, step through the "Bridge Access" shaft again and go to the "Escape Pod" elevator. When you're there and try to push the Red Button, the USS DARKSTAR will experience an other "quake" and that Red Elevator Button explodes. You can not use this elevator now. Turn around and walk back, rough the "Bride Access" shaft and go t "Teleport Terminus" elevator. The "quake" that you experience a minute ago has broken the glass door of this elevator shaft, so get onto the elevator platform, push the button and ride this elevator all the way up and you'll enter the

Teleport Terminus:

Step out of the elevator. In front of you, you'll see the glass Teleport "house". But the teleport is set to RECEIVE, not to SENT AWAY, and there's an continues stream of Alien Slaves being teleported in. From the elevator, go left and follow the corridor around the teleport and then to the left into a small hallway. On the wall you'll read a sign that says: "Reactor Control". In the left corner you can get an Hev canister and also kill an Alien Slave. Both doors here are locked, so go from here into the teleport room, but do not go into the glass teleport "house". Turn left in front of it and then break through the window of the little control room. Climb through the window into the control room, kill the Headcrab, get ammo from the dead Barney and push the Red Button. Turn around and now look, through the window, at the glass teleport house. There aren't any Alien Slaves coming in now. You have reverse the teleport and have set it now to SENT AWAY. You can see an Orange/White vortex there now. Climb back through the window and now go in to the glass teleport house, kill the remaining Alien Slaves and jump into the Orange/White Vortex. LOADING

Mother....I'm SHRUNK

The teleport has brought you in to a narrow "alley. Turn around, kill the Headcrab. Yes, that Headcrab was kind of little don't you think. Turn around again, turn on your flashlight and now follow the "alley". It goes, left, right, kill Alien Slave, right and go through the "blue tunnel" and at the end to the right. Be careful not to walk into the MOUSETRAP!!

Jesus….What is everything big here, or are you very small now. Yes…you are very small now. Apparently there was something wrong with the teleport that brought you here because everything and everyone that has come through that teleport has been shrunk to the size of a rat. It means that you and the aliens in this section are very small, but it does not mean that the aliens are less dangerous.

You are in some sort of office. First, take a good look around here. In the middle of the room stands a yellow warning sign, it says: "Caution Wet Floor" and indeed, some parts of the floor are wet. Against one of the walls of the room stands a desk with a chair in front of it. against the other wall, in front of the desk, stands an open closet with books in it. In frond of it stands an bucket with an floor mop in it and next of this bucket stands an barrel. In the wall, left of the desk, is a gray door, but this door is locked. On the right of this door, on the wall, you'll see an bulletin board and above it an picture.

Well, you'll need to get ON TOP of that bulletin Board on the wall, next of the gray door, because behind that picture above it, is the button for the gray door. You'll need to perform a series of difficult jumps now. It is wise to save after each successful jump before attempting the next jump.

Do the following:

  1. Go to the closet and get on the lowest ledge of this closet
  2. Walk over this ledge until you behind the barrel and then jump on top of the barrel. Turn to the bucket and jump on top of the edge of the bucket.
  3. Jump into the bucket and walk through the water to the red stick of the floor mop. Climb al the way up this stick until you are standing on the very top of it. then turn to the left wall and you'll look right on top of the closet. Jump from the stick on to the red books and then walk straight over them to the black edge of the closet against the wall.
  4. Turn left and follow the back ledge of the closet to the end. Then turn left and take one step forwards and then turn right again. In front of you is now the desk, so jump on to the desk.
  5. When you are on top of the desk, turn left and walk over the desk to the laptop computer, turn left and jump down on to the seat of the desk chair. Turn around to the desk and duck. You are now looking under the desk. Look to the left and you'll see a Red Button under the desk. Push it. you'll hear the sounds as if a door is being open up. Stand back up and look to the left at the bulletin board on the wall. The picture above the bulletin board is now up and you see a Red/Green Button. That's the button to open up the gray door. But how to get there?
  6. Climb back on to the desk and then go to right and get on to the notepad. Then jump on to the pile of books that's behind the notepad. Then turn to the left and jump, from the books, on top the "Pc Gamer" box. Walk across this box in the direction of the laptop computer. Now you'll need to jump from the "Pc Gamer" box on to the top of the Laptop Screen. This is a difficult jump and you'll need to do this jump while pushing your SHIFT KEY, because otherwise you'll jump to far.
  7. When you are on top of the Laptop Screen, walk over it and then jump on top of the computer housing, This is a Crouch/Run/Jump On top of the computer, climb on to the 'Quake" Box and from there jump up to land on top of the pile of books and then jump on top of the Bulletin Board.
  8. Walk over to the left side to that Red/Green button and then SAVE GAME HERE before you push the button.

When you push the red/green button, the gray door will go open, but it will only stay open for a short while and the door closes again. You therefore have to be quick as soon as you have pushes the Red/Green button. It's not wise to jump directly down, from the top of the bulletin board to the floor. Remember that you have the size of a rat now and the fall will kill you. But directly under you stands the yellow "Wet Floor" warning sign, so first you can jump down onto that sign and then jump from that sign on to the floor and then quickly get through the gray door,

So, push the Red/Green Button and then jump down on to the yellow "Wet Floor" warning sign, then jump down on to the floor and get through the Gray door en immediately turn to your right and kill the two Alien Slaves.

 Inside the Main Computer:

You’re still the size of a rat and are now in a small room and all three doors in this room are locked. You can’t get out. Or at least it seems that way. Look around in this room. One of the walls is in fact the Main Computer of the USS DARKSTAR and on the left side, against this wall, you’ll see a Yellow " ZAPPEM RATS" Trap. Do not get in this thing, but get behind it and you’ll notice a hole in the wall at the bottom. Get trough this hole and you are INSIDE the Main Computer. Kill the Headcrab and then take a sharp right turn and walk through the "alley" towards the shimmering Red Light.

You’ll see a short cutscène of the big main Teleport Room. After the cutscène, walk on and then to the right into a large "greenish" lighted room. Keep in mind that you are still very tiny and that you really are inside a big computer. To the left you see a ventilator (fan) and straight in front of you a multi colored glass column. Go to the left and then walk between the fan and the multi colored glass column and then to the right. You’ll see a second multi colored glass column and to the left of it stands an green column made of "trellis". Go to the right side of this green column. It’s hollow so crouch/jump to climb in to it. Inside this hollow green column, turn to the left and then climb all the way up the trellis and then jump up to land on the "glass" platform. Quickly kill the Alien Slave who’s in the multi colored column in front of you and then walk to the right over this "glass" platform to the edge of it. Beneath you you’ll see another green column and that’s the "housing" of the big Fan. Jump on top of it and then turn to the left. Kill the Alien Slave and then walk to where the Slave was standing. To your right is then a third green "trellis" column on a platform. Climb on to the platform and climb all the way up the green "trellis" to the top "glass" platform. On this platform turn left and now you have to deal with a couple of floating "mushroom" aliens. Walk over this top "glass" platform to the first "screw" and then go left and follow the "glass" path until you are behind the multi colored glass column. Here you have to jump over the gap to the other side, meanwhile killing two more floating aliens. Jump over the gap and then turn right and you’ll see a third trellis against the wall. Climb to the top and on top of this trellis turn right and you’ll look straight in to a low crawl space. To the right you see a sign that says: "TELEPORT MODULE 46VC" and further to the back you'll see another sign but you can not quite read what it says from here. Before these two signs you see a number of greenish "glass" platforms, floating just above the floor. Crouch/Jump into this crawl space and go over de first glass platform to the back. Now you read the back sign and it says: "SECURITY MODULE xcv034-567". Break this "glass platform" and……

As soon as you have smashed the "SECURITY MODULE" your screen turns black for a moment and then you see the huge Fusion Reactor Chamber and you see that you have turn on the huge FUSION REACTOR. Well, that’s what you had to do here, so follow the same route back to the bottom floor of the computer and then go through the reddish "alley" again and then through the hole back in to the small room with the three locked doors. In this room there is no an Teleport Vortex. Walk to it and JUMP THROUGH THE VORTEX AND…..you are back to your normal size again, but are still in the same room. Now you are your normal self again, go through the right door, not the door at the yellow Rat trap, but the door opposite from it and then follow the corridor and it will bring you into a triangular END ROOM. The left wall of this room is in fact one big window and through this window you look into the huge Fusion Reactor Room.

Fusion Reactor Room part two

Look through the big window into the huge Fusion Reactor Chamber. You went through it already, remember, with the rail car. When you look down through the big window, then you'll see the lower train rail beneath the huge Fusion Reactor. If you look up then you'll see the upper rail above the Fusion Reactor. This one also goes down from right to left and there it goes through a door. Just like the lower rail. Well; you'll need to get all the way up onto that upper rail and then walk over it to the top door and go through it, because there is the next rail car.

First use the Hev and the Health Terminals on the right wall and while you are doing this an alien will appear in the Fusion Reactor Chamber and begins to fire at you. Because of this the big window will break. Try to eliminate this alien first from within the triangular room, then go and break the crates here and then go stand in front of the now broken big window and again look through it into the Fusion Reactor Chamber and SAVE GAME.

Let me explain things first here. 

Although I know what it is that you must do to get on to the upper train rail in the Fusion Reactor Chamber, I must tell you that I didn't got through this next section without using the NOCLIP CHEAT AND THE GOD CHEAT, but I shall try to explain it as good as I can:

Because you have broken the "Security Module xc034-567", when you were little and in the main computer, there is now very little gravity in the Fusion Reactor Chamber. Therefore you can make very far and high jumps in this chamber. You jump UP by pushing your Jump Key and while jumping up you can "navigate" your jump by using your Arrow keys and so determine where to land. However, as soon as you jump out the big window into the Fusion Reactor Chamber four more of those "mushroom" aliens will beam in also and they make life hell for you. So, not only you'll need to get on to the upper rail but while doing so you'll need to fight of those aliens. Also you can not get to close of the big Fusion Reactor because the radiation will kill you. You could try to land the top part of the lower rail first, but from there it's to high up to reach the upper rail in one big jump.

I think that you first need to get on to the "roof" of the Fusion Reactor and then from there jump on to the upper rail. But as I said, I have tried this a couple of hundred times and I was not very successful. So finally I used the NOCLIP Cheat and the GOD Cheat here to get me through this section of the game.

If there is someone amongst you who can tell me precisely how you need to jump in order to get safely on to the Upper Rail, then please let me know and I will put it in to the walkthrough, and give you all the credits for it.

So, jump through the big window in to the Fusion Reactor Chamber and figure out how to jump in order to get safely on to the UPPER TRAIN RAIL and when you up there, walk over it to the right to the UPPER door. When you almost at the UPPER door, it will go open and a Grunt begins to fire at you. Quickly kill the Grunt and then go through the door. Climb to the right on to the train platform, break the crates here and kill the redish little beetles and then get in to the rail car. Start it up and drive it FORWARDS and it will bring you again down through the Fusion Reactor Chamber, over the Upper Rail, and then you'll go out through the Lower door of the Upper Rail and the car comes  at a hold at the next platform. Climb on to the platform. A sign on the wall tells you that you have reached the "Research Labs". Go, left of this sign, around the corner, kill the Grunt and go to the door. LOADING.

Research Labs Area

Go through the door and you will come on a platform between two stairs. to the right the stairs goes down into a hallway and to the left, behind you, the stairs goes down into a dark corridor. Go down the stairs on your right into the hallway and then walk straight to wall ands then turn right and go into the short corridor. at the back of this short corridor is a door, on your left, an this door is marked as the "Lab-1" door. Go through this door and then immediately turn left and kill the Mutant. You are in Lab-1 and above your head, on the ceiling, a scientist is hanging down from the TL-Lights. There's a dead Barney lying on the floor also. get his shotgun and then go climb up the ladder at the right wall. On top of this ladder, turn right and jump onto the iron catwalk, kill the Mutant here and several Headcrabs and then walk to the rear end and break the crates for some ammo. You could push the Red Button to "help" the scientist that's still hanging on the TL-Lights. You're not really do him any favors, if you do push the Red Button. Then climb down the ladder again to the ground floor and walk straight to the glass wall in the back of this lab. An Bullsquid will break through the glass wall. kill it and then turn right and go use the Hev and the Health Terminals. Then go through the broken glass wall into the next hallway and then through the next opening and you're on the rear "balcony" of the USS DARKSTAR. Turn left and follow the "balcony" all the way to the back. again you'll come into a small hallway. turn on your flashlight and then turn to the left and kill the Bullsquid. turn back again and go down the short stairs, go left, kill Bullsquid and then go through the "Lab-2" door.

In Lab-2 you can look through the glass window into a cubicle where an Alien Slave is busy torturing an scientist with the X-ray machine. this goes totally wrong and the there will be an explosion, so beware of this. go through this room and then straight through the next door. again you are in a hallway and against the right wall are the soft drink machines and straight ahead you'll see the "Lab-3" door. Go to that door, but it is locked. Turn left and go to the dead Barney in front of the "Bridge Access" elevator shaft and pick up the Crossbow. This elevator is locked also but then you here a lot of noise from behind you. Turn around and you'll see a Grunt is breaking through the Soft drink machines. Kill him and then go into the space behind the soft drink machines. The gray door is locked so turn to the left, crouch and smash down the ventilation grid and then crawl through the hole. You are now behind the "Lab-3" door, so follow the corridor into lab 3. Kill the two Mutants in Lab-3 and walk on to the back of the room, go left and then into the next room. Kill the Bullsquid here and pick up the gun from the dead Barney. Kill Headcrab and then go through the door on the right and then turn right. you are in a corridor with an elevator. the elevator isn't working, so go through the corridor to the door at the back. Beware for the Mutant who is behind the crates and you can break an iron crate that's in front of the big crates.

After you have killed the Mutant in this corridor, go through the door and then turn immediately to the left and kill de Mutant who's in the dark space under the stairs. Walk through this short corridor to the glass wall. it might break and if it does, step through it and kill the Alien Slave in the X-ray Lab. Then go back into the short corridor and now climb up the 2 stairs. When you are all the way upstairs, step right back again on the stairs. These two last stairs have brought you back on the landing between the two stairs where you began your trip through the Labs. But now a part of the ventilation shaft, above your head, will collapse and is then going down. If you do not step back in time, the collapsing ventilation shaft will damage you pretty severe. When this accident has happens, go back down the stairs into the big hallway, walk to wall again and then turn around and walk to the beginning of the fallen down piece of the ventilation shaft. 

Ventilation Shafts:

Crawl into this shaft and crawl through it to the top. it goes then to the left, turn on your flashlight, kill the red beetles and follow this shaft further, over an iron beam and then it takes a right turn, kill Headcrab and get rid of the grate and then crawl out the shaft into a wide round vertical shaft made out of redish metal.

At the bottom of this wide round shaft you'll see a grate and above you, all the way up, you'll see another grate. When you look up along the walls of this shaft you'll see grates on different heights in this shaft. You'll need to reach the top wall grate in this shaft. That is the wall grate that's directly under the big top grate. But how to get there.

Break the grate in the bottom of the shaft and you'll see a big Fan. crawl onto the fan and then you'll need to look down to see what's under the fan. just turn around and keep looking down the fan. you will see a Control Panel underneath the Fan. Shoot it and the big fan will turn and you will get up through the shaft by the wind the fan is producing and you'll will bump your head against the top grate and then drop down again. This is an repeating process and you can go on doing this the rest of your life. What you need to do is this: While going up in the air through the round shaft, keep turning around and you'll see, just below the top grate, a little grate in the wall. You must shoot this little grate down during one of your next flights up. You will fall down again and go up again and now you must try to get into that little upper ventilation hole. It's not really that difficult to do, so keep at it until you are in that upper ventilation shaft and then follow it all the way, killing some Headcrabs and turning on your flashlight and finally you will come into a round room. Here is a dead Barney lying in front of the next ventilation shaft. get in there and then climb up the long ladder. This ladder is broken and you can not climb it any further. Climb back down a little bit (not all the way down) and you'll see a ventilation grate in the left wall. shoot it out and jump from the ladder into this ventilation hole and crawl through it and you'll come into a high corridor with iron pillars against the wall and a door immediately to your right. You are now back at the door that to the Zoological Section of the USS DARKSTAR.

Back at the living quarters

The door on your right is the entrance to the Zoolocigal section of the USS DARKSTAR and  now this door is blocked. Walk through the hallway and you'll see a ladder going up against the last right pillar. Ignore the ladder for now and go to the back of the corridor and then through the door on your left. Now you're back at the bottom floor of the main "staircase". Kill the Mutant here and walk to the back wall and then use the Hev and Health Terminals there. These are the very first Terminals you saw when you first started this game and then I told you not to use them. When you have used these Terminals then turn around and go back through the door into the hallway with the pillars against the wall. Now climb up that ladder and you'll come on a catwalk. walk over the catwalk to the right and then climb up the second ladder that's on the left side. on top of this second ladder break through the grate in the wall and crawl into the greenish shaft.

directly in front of you you'll see another grate, in the floor of this greenish crawl space. break it and then look down the hole. beneath you is now the staircase, but it's blocked by a pile of rubble. kill the Headcrab and then drop down the hole right on top the rubble. When you land on top the rubble that's blocking the staircase, you probably face in the down direction. turn around and climb of the rubble and follow the staircase all the way to the top floor and while you go, kill 2 Mutants. All the way up, go through the broken door and walk straight through to the wounded Barney who's lying on the floor in front of the big glass door. perhaps you'll need to fight a couple of Mutants here to. This big door is the door to the outside path that connect this part of the USS DARKSTAR with the BRIDGE. the wounded Barney is barely alive but, just before he dies, he tells you that you need a special Security Card for this door. he tells you that you can find such a card in the "Captains Quarters". So go out into the staircase again and follow it down, climb over the rubble and of on the other side (this is a bit tricky, you must crawl over the rubble and then on the left side jump of again) and then go one more floor down and here go through the door into the "Captains Quarters".

Captains Quarters

When you have entered the Captains Quarters, first go through all the rooms and kill all four Alien Slaves. Then go back into the room behind the glass wall and here go to the large metal bookcase. Break the bookshelves with your crowbar and  you see a Red Button on the wall. Push it. Then go back into the dark room that's opposite the bathroom. in this little darkroom a piece of the back wall is no open and behind it you will find the Security Card. When you have it, go back into the staircase and follow it all the way down (you can not go UP because from this side you can not climb onto the pile of rubble). Go back in to the hallway with the 2 ladders and climb back up again and go into the greenish crawl space on top and fall down through the hole again on to the pile of rubble that's blocking the staircase. Now go back up to the top floor and there go to the big glass door and use the button on the left wall and now this door will go open because you have the Security card. Go through it and walk over to the other door on the other side. this door is also closed and locked. just wait here. after a few moments you'll notice that the engines of the USS DARKSTAR suddenly begin to sputter and then you experience a few quakes. then the engine go back on full power again and now you can go through this door to the:

 Bridge Tower:

So, go through this door and follow the narrow corridor. it will bring you to the "Bridge Access" elevator shaft. Watch it because there's now elevator in the shaft. You must go through it to the other side, but first you must break the glass door on this side. So do so and then run and on the right moment JUMP over the shaft to the other side.

When you are on the other side of the "Bridge Access" elevator shaft then you'll see. to the left of you, an other glass door. Above this door you'll read: "Navigation Planetarium". Don't go there for now, but turn around. You see that there's an other glass door beside the elevator shaft and through it you look into a small storage room and you can see the Hev and Health Terminals there. But this door will not go open from this side. To reach these two terminals, walk further down to the back wall and there push the button on the wall. Suddenly a glass steps appear in the corridor here. Climb up these steps and on top you'll come on to an metal platform. Kill the Grunt en behind the column the Alien Slave and then go to that grey hatch in the floor, before the column, crouch and break it and drop down the hole and you are in that little storage room. Turn around and kill the two Alien Slaves, use the terminals and brake the crates here and then use the wall button to open up the glass door and step through it back into the corridor.

Now go to and through the "Navigation Planetarium" door and follow the corridor. first to the left and then up the first long stairs and it will bring you on a platform that runs along the backside of the DARKSTAR. Again you have to deal with a couple of "mushroom" aliens. Walk to the left and then up the second stairs to the second platform and then up the third short stairs and you are all the way up. It's a dead end and the console here is not working, but you can get a HEV cannister here and a Medkit. When you have these, go back down until you almost down the second stairs again. When this second stairs turn to the right and then goes further down, you'll notice a square hole in the corner of this second stairs. Drop down through this hole, then turn around, crouch and break the grate. Crawl through it and go down the short ladder. Turn around and walk through this greenish room and then go right, kill the Mutants and, in the corner with the dead Barney, go up the next ladder. On top of this ladder, turn left and turn on your flashlight, break the grate and crawl into the ventilation shaft. Kill Headcrab and crawl through this shaft until you are at the body of an technicians, about halfway through this shaft. Here, you'll see the next ladder to your right. Go up this very short ladder and on top break the grate and crawl out.

Escape:

Now you're on the top level of the Bridge Tower. Walk straight ahead over this narrow green catwalk and then you'll see, to your left, the glass door that goes to the "Rocket Control Room" There's a Grunt before it. Kill. That door wont go open now and behind it you'll see an Alien Slave. Turn around and now follow the catwalk and then the corridor and it will bring you to other side and into the FORWARDS BRIDGE CHAMBER. Here there's a Barney corpse on the floor and to the right of this corpse you see the "ROCKET ROOM ACCESS" Button on the wall. Behind the dead Barney you'll see a big grey Hatch in the floor. Go there and then turn to the left and kill the Alien Slave. Get the HEV cannister and now go and push the "Rocket Room Access" button. Walk back through the corridor and the catwalk to the Rocket Control Room door and it will go open now. Go into the Rocket Control Room. kill the two Alien Slaves here and then go to the back and push the "Rocket Control" Button. The alarm will go of and the USS DARKSTAR begins to shake like crazy.

Quickly now, run back to the Forwards BRIDGE CHAMBER. The big grey Hatch in the floor is open now. Before entering into the hatch you'll need to deal with a couple of "mushrooms". Then walk to the hatch and look down in to it. You'll look down into a very deep elevator shaft and it good bee that one of those "mushrooms" is going up on the elevator platform. if so, kill it and then go on the elevator platform and it will bring you down through the shaft. It's a long way down.

Suddenly the elevator stops and you experience a couple of quakes again and then you the elevator platform goes down again and eventually you are at the bottom of this long deep shaft. turn around to find the door and then go outside. You are at the ESCAPE PODS. there are two Escape Pods left, but the left one, that's POT 1, does not work. The Right one, that's POD 4, is still in working order. Walk between the two Escape Pods to back and then kill the two Alien Slaves. one n the left side and one on the right side. on the Wall against witch Escape Pod 4 is standing, you'll find a Button, push this button and Escape Pod 4 goes open. Enter Escape Pod 4 and walk as far to the back as you can and......

That's IT

Watch the short end movie. You escape the USS DARKSTAR and fly's to the nearby planet, but.....????
