http://users.bart.nl/~jamin DARK COLONY Alien 1 First Strike Select all your units, go northwest till you find troopers protecting oxygen generators. Destroy the troopers then the generators. Proceed to the northeast where you will get reinforcements. Go to the east and you'll find more troopers guarding generators. Kill 'em all! Go south east. More generators to the east. Southwest you'll get more reinforcements, troopers and generators. Keep going west, more troopers & generators. Go northwest then east and finish off the last of the generators. Alien 2 interference Put your brozaar on the vent. Put sy demon and two warriors by the brozaar to protect it. Select remaining units and move east until you see a bridge. Go south over bridges and kill human troops around the vent. Build science pod and breeder pod. and another brozaar to put on the vent. Build more sy-demons to protect base from human troopers. when vent by your base is depleted, take some sy-demons and brozaars to the vent south of your base past the rock rift. build as many sy-demons as you can. Go east of your base then straight south. You'll find some relay dishes protected by firestorms, troopers and reapers. If you have enough sy-demons it shouldn't pose much of a problem. on the east side of the map close to the other vent you'll find the remaining dishes that must be destroyed. Alien 3 legacy revealed Move brozaar onto vent. Find cryochamber east of base. protect it with remaining troops. Build science pod and breeder pod. Build sy-demons to protect base. Upgrade science & breeder pods build Xeno-Worts and defend the bridge north of your base. Defend vents in the middle of the map with Xeno-Worts too. Later the vents will erupt. Place brozaars on them and build sy demons. When you have lots of Sy-demons attack the enemy's base at the top middle of the map. Alien 4 operation breakthrough What you're looking for is in the northwest corner of the map. Select your commander and put him in "move mode" (M) Click in the northwest corner of the map. Build a brozaar and put it on a vent. Build all the buildings you can. With the remainder of your petra-7 units build Atrils. Use ortu's to spot firestorms so that Atrils can attack them. Don't put your Atrils too close to any firestorms! Go north past bridge then follow west destroying firestorms along the way. Keep west, you'll come to another bridge. over take it and defend it. Build more Atrils when able. When able, attack enemy base in the southwest corner of the map. (it'll take a while) The human commander always gets away. Alien 5 Roswell revisited make sure commander is ALWAYS in "move mode" (M) Do not use your commander to engage the enemy. Look for petra tanks, they bring in reinforcements. Save after each "hotshot" If you're really patient, wait until nighttime when you'll have a slight advantage over the humans. There is no time limit in this mission. Keep your commander moving, don't let him get shot at. Use your abduct ability (if you have it) wisely. Run behind building looking for petra tanks. Don't be fooled by the Status H.Q. You have to find commander tick who is hiding southeast of the Status base. Alien 6 Puppet Masters build a brozaar and put it on the petra vent to the east of your base. Select a lunatek from the bottom of the map and deploy it near the humans to the east. It'll cause them to go crazy and attack each other. Build a breeder pod. Take over the petra vent to the Southwest using Atrils, ortu's and sy-demons. Send the commander and lunatek back to your base in move mode. (M) Use a lunatek to turn firestorms against each other. Build all the buildings you can until you have a neural hive. Deploy sloms in the area to the east of the bridge near your city. You will be attacked repeatedly from that direction. Put a couple of Atrils on the cliff too. The deployed sloms will function as "eyes" for the Atrils but they'll probably need to be replaced once in a while. After you've built a neural hive send a brozaar to the artefact site east of your base. Be sure to send 2 Xeno-Worts, 2 Atrils, a couple of sy-demons and some Taar Infantry. A new vent will erupt directly south of your base. Send a brozaar, a Xeno-Wort and a couple of sy-demons. You brozaar has extracted some lunateks by now. Store them near your city for safe keeping. Once in a while send a lunatek over to the enemy base which is in the middle eastern section of the map. Keep a close eye on it as it can be shot down easily. Get ready to 'hit enter' if it's seems to be in danger of being destroyed. Ideally they should be deployed near the firestorms that surround the enemy base. If a lunatek is deployed nearby the firstorms (and any other units in range) they will fire at one another and at the alien base. The key to winning the battle is softening up the enemy base by causing it to attack itself. When the vent near the city is depleted send the brozaar to the southern artefact site along with some sy-demons, Taar Infantry and Atrils. The vent to the east of the northern artefact site will soon erupt so start defend it beforehand. There's another vent in the Southwest corner of the map. Keep softening up the enemy base until there are no lunateks left. Attack enemy city with everything you've got! Alien 7 Civil War Move a brozaar over vent and protect it with a trooper. There's an active vent east of your base. you first goal should be to secure it. Avoid fighting with humans. Let them fight amongst on another while you collect petra-7. move all units east then north to find vent. Build a science pod and breeder pod. Defend bridge to the south place three Xeno-Worts entrance of the bridge. The vent to the east will erupt soon. back up each Xeno-Wort with an atria.. build neural hive. Backup each atria with a zisp. Use sloms one at a time to explore area south of the bridge and deploy when under attack, deploy near vents if possible. Defend vents with 3 Xeno-Worts each. Upgrade Xeno-Wort weapon and armour one level. There are three vents in the area. Secure them all. upgrade Atrils. use to increase vision radius south of bridge. Send brozaars to defended vents once they've erupted. finish upgrading Xeno-Worts. run straight to the south side of the map in move mode to find artefact site. Explore map with commander in move mode. If he gets hurt send him to the healers. Don't attack any bases. Increase bridge defences to six Atrils, six healers three towers and one ortu. once a vent runs out send the brozaar to the southern artefact site (heal it first) bring commander along. If you're attacked while extracting artefacts move away until the threat is gone. don't attract attention. Let the humans fight each other. If brozaar gets killed send another. Build lots of sy-demons, a few Atrils and a couple of Taar Infantries. After one of their bases is destroyed by humans. Kill 'em all! The enemy bases are in the southern corners of the map. Alien 8 the screamer You can't kill commander Tick. Don't try to kill him, just follow him. Stay in move mode at all times. Follow him until you get to the bottom of the map. wait for a warning to appear on you message bar. When reinforcements arrive send them across the hidden minefield then follow immediately behind (out of range of the explosions of course) You'll be picked up then dropped off near a base. Build a brozaar and place it over the petra vent. Build up your base as fast as you can. don't build a neural hive. There is one enemy base in the Northeast corner. There are no other petra vents so don't bother exploring. Build Atrils and upgrade their armour and weapon one level. Advance Northeast halfway to the corner of the map. After first initial attack the enemy will ease off for a while. build some sy-demons and wait. hen you've built about 12 Atrils, 14 sy-demons and 5 Taar Infantry, move everyone Northeast. Deploy a Xeno-Wort north of your base to fend off osprey. It's advisable to wait until nightfall to attack the base but it's not completely necessary. alien 9 buried treasure quickly select everyone and put them in move mode (M) Move them to the lower right corner of the map. It's very important that you keep your commander alive. There are reapers guarding the doorway of a red room. When gorrems are recharged (indicator is fully green) deploy disease spores (use the D key) to freeze the reapers in place. Move your commander to the back of the room and protect him for one minute. After a minute send your commander through the back doorway. alien 10 Animal Instinct Move units in centre of map to the petra vent into the east. Use commander near your base in the south east corner to collect petra tanks east of your base. Build brozaar and mine vent west of your base. Build warrior hive, breeder pod and gene sac. Defend bridge to the west with a slom and a Taar Infantry. Build brozaar and mine vent north of your base. Upgrade gene sac to level 2. Use a trooper to explore west. Defend vent north of base with A Xeno-Wort. Defend bridge to west with 2 Xeno-Worts. Upgrade breeder pod to level 2. Send a brozaar, trooper and Sy-demon to a vent in the Southwest corner of the map. VERY IMPORTANT: defend the vent east of the centre pad. When sending units to the vent east of the centre pad use way points to make sure they go straight north then west. deploy Xeno-Worts over any erupted mines you discover. as you build more and more units store them in the centre of the map. The enemy base is in the Northwest corner. Block bridges with 2 Xeno-Worts and 2 Atrils. There are three artefact sites. The site with the tektaara (controls animals) is in the middle of the south edge of the map. The other two sites are in the Southwest and Northeast corners. build neural hive. extract the artefact site in the middle of the south edge of the map. Deploy the first tektaara you receive and store the other one near your base for later use. Select grubs and lizards and use them to help defend your vents. Don't try to attack the enemy base with them as they'll get killed by firestorms. A petra vent south of the centre pad will be erupting soon. When the vent east of the centre pad is depleted (you should have quite a lot of units in the centre now) move them a bit to the west.. This will cut off the enemies main route to your base. Build 3 healers and send them up to your units in the centre. Deploy another tektaara and use the grubs and lizards to defend your vents again if necessary. Wait for a while until you think you have enough units to take the enemy base over and ATTACK! Keep your Atrils well back and your healers safely behind them. If you have extra petra7 units, upgrade your Atrils. Human 1 Red landing Walk east until you reach first and second beacons. Stay in attack mode. Select all your men, walk northwest, follow terrain. Keep moving north until you reach the third beacon. Then move northeast. Your base will be under attack, keep moving to the east, kill all the aliens attacking your base. Human 2 base camp alpha Put your exploiter on the vent. Build a science centre and robot factory as soon as you have enough Petra-7 units. Protect your exploiter with at least three troopers. Send extra troopers to protect relay dishes. You'll need to protect your base with a couple of reapers & make sure you listen for petra-7 vents erupting, there are two to the north-east and another to the northwest. When you have enough troops & reapers attack the alien vent south of your base. Plant sentinels to the south of the vent to protect against invasion from the south. Protect your base. Human 3 Allied intervention Get your exploiter on the petra-7 vent. Build a robot factory. There is a vent to the west of your base that will be erupting soon. Put an exploiter there. Build as many reapers as you can and upgrade them (tab 2). Bring them all up to the northwest. You'll see a giant skeleton there. There are 4 dormant vents. North of the skeleton is a vent occupied by aliens. Overtake the vent and put an exploiter on it. Bring in more reapers and firestorms to protect your exploiter. The aliens' base is to the north. When you have enough petra-7 build an army of reapers and troopers and attack the alien base. Human 4 island assault Put exploiter on Petra vent. Select your commander and find the western island. Build the science and robot factory. Upgrade robot factory so that you can now build firestorms. Build two firestorms and select all remaining units. Take them to the second bridge on the island to the north east. Build an exploiter and send it to the Petra vent Southeast of your base. build another firestorm when you can and place it with the others. build Barragers. Build an Osprey IV for more vision radius and take them all to your firestorms. Position Ortu so your Barragers can take out enemy Xeno-Worts. Keep building Barragers and sending them to help. Once the Xeno-Worts are destroyed move across the bridge and destroy enemy brozaar to the east of the bridge. Build 3 firestorms and send them towards the petra vent. Deploy three firestorms around the petra vent and place an exploiter on it. Place an exploiter on the vent of the furthest western island. Slowly advance north. move form bridge to bridge making sure that bridges are secured. Upgrade you reapers as much as possible and build as many as you can. Check to see if your exploiters have finished mining and move them to any new vents. Bring reapers up to the front lines. Keep moving north and crush the alien base. human 5 darkest hour Move Exploiter on vent. Build a science centre. Build two Exploiters and put on vents Northeast of base and north west past first vent. Build robot factory then upgrade both science and robot factory. Take remaining troops and an exploiter to vent to the west past bridge by your base and secure it with two firestorms, two Barragers and two Reapers. Reinforce bridge to the north with two Barriers upgrade your firestorms completely. When you have enough resources make two firestorms and two Barragers and send them to the vent that is Northeast of your base past the bridge. build another firestorm and an exploiter for final vent and send them up there. When that is secure build 2 firestorms, 2 Barragers and two Reapers. Another vent north west of the last vent put down waypoints so that they don't go right up the middle. Your Petra-7 units will start to run out soon so gather all troops and attack alien base's breeder pod and mind hive don't destroy it completely. Once that has happened there is an uneruppted vent west past a bridge of the alien base. Secure it with as many firestorms and Barragers you can afford. Make sure you use waypoints so they avoid Xeno-Worts and alien base. The vent will not erupt until the alien base has been destroyed. Take a barrage directly south of the far-west vent and use the d button to destroy Stratus' firestorms. Build a sentinel and use waypoints to manoeuvre it to the vent and deploy it. Destroy alien base but make sure your base is well protected. Stratus will attack Southwest of your base as soon as the alien base is destroyed. Fortify remaining vent Northwest of your base with firestorms and remaining barragers so that you can make reinforcements. Protect your remaining vents and build your army so you can destroy Stratus. human 6 Ancient legacy Make sure your trooper is in move mode. Move to the east and just attack the first barrier and then rush in to where the other troopers are as soon. As you kill the slines. gather the remaining troopers and go to the next room. Once you have reached the end of the hall, go south and then west until you come to a wall. go south then east all the way. Go north as far as you can go. Go east as far as you can. Go south. You'll see the secret room on the left. Go west until you see the doorway and enter. human 7 Retribution Build an Exploiter put on vent west of base. Build science pod. Deploy two sentinels north of base between rock cliffs. Take all your troops and protect vent. Upgrade science pod. Build robot factory and upgrade it. Vent on island to the Southwest will erupt. Place an exploiter on it and send a trooper along with it. Build up your army and attack alien base in the Northwest corner of the map. Once it has been destroyed, mine vents east of destroyed base. defend your exploiter with firestorms and barragers. build research centre. Take exploiters and extract artefacts from artefact sites. Help Stratus defend from aliens coming from the east side of them map. Attack remaining alien base with the help of the artefacts you've uncovered and your (now large) army. human 8 Shattered Front Move Exploiter on petra vent. Select Osprey IV, fly north, then fly west and gather troops. Take barragers past the first bridge and south on a little path of land. Take Osprey IV and fly towards enemy territory until Barragers can fire on Xeno-Worts protecting the bridge. Bring lots of units in to attack alien brozaar Southeast of the bridge. Attack alien base and destroy it. put Exploiter on petra vent. Protect your base by deploying firestorms west by strip of land leading north. bring whole army back to your base. Build two firestorms and deploy them near the vent west of your base. Build a research centre. Upgrade your barragers. build an Exploiter and place on new petra vent. Block bridge north of destroyed alien base with three firestorms, two barragers and a medi-craft. When exploiter has drained petra vent near the destroyed alien vent send exploiter west to the artefact site. Take another undeployed Exploiter and place over recently erupted vent north of bridge and defend it with firestorms and barragers. Take artefacts to alien base at the north middle of the map one at a time. Try to deploy each solaris over brozaars. Use kaox near base (not directly over) If the enemy base is still doing fine, extract more artefacts (there's a site in the Northwest corner). You could easily crush the enemy with standard units, but artefacts are more fun! If there's anything left, attack with your remaing units. Human 9 Extermination Deploy exploiter. Explore surroundings. Build robot factory 2 first. Guard the gap between your city and the bottom right hand corner. Guard unerupted mine to the south west. Remember to watch the mine below your base. The mine in the lower middle of the map, will erupt. Send an exploiter and guard with 4 firestorms. When this one is secure upgrade your science pod so you can build artillery. Use Ospreys VI to scout out remaining territory. Upgrade firestorms weapons and shields. A vent to the north east of your second vent will erupt, you can secure it, but the AI may hit it hard. There is another mine north of the base, grab it and protect it with four firestorms and three barragers. Defend the mine in the middle with barragers, firestorms and reapers, and upgrade firestorms completely. Try to take the 3 vents south east of your base, and protect them with firestorms and barragers. You may be able to take all four but it's = tough. Build a research centre. Build healers. Defend your remaining vents and keep troops healthy. Move firestorms to the north west of the map to defend the newly erupting mines and artefact sites. Reinforce firestorms with barragers. Block the bridges with firestorms. Grab the artefacts. At this point, I defended my holdings and built up the low middle army with troops barragers, and reapers, but mostly barragers. When the army was fairly large, I attacked the human base in the south east corner. Grab the vent in the middle just for extra money. Watch out for the firestorms around the human base. Once you have destroyed the human base, take your force up to the middle of the map and heal them. You can now destroy the alien base with your reinaining army. human 10 Silent Strike Take Osprey IV, move it across vent east of your base. Keep vent in vision radius of osprey. Do not engage enemy. Activate S.a.r.g.e so that he's diverting petra-7 to your base (flashing light indicates that it's working) build a science building and robot factory. Send an Osprey IV to the middle north of the map, you'll receive a S.a.r.g.e.. move him to the north as far as he'll go and then deploy him (steal petra-7) Move Osprey IV to middle east of map. you'll receive another S.a.r.g.e. move him north out of range of the Xeno-Wort but just enough that he can steal petra-7 then deploy. (osprey must have brozaar in it's vision radius). Do not attack brozaars. Build and upgrade all buildings except research centre. Defend base. build 4 firestorms, deploy them south of your base. Build 4 barragers and place them near firestorms. Build research centre. Use an osprey to locate alien base to the south. Find their main petra vent. Keep the osprey in visual range of the brozaar, but out of danger. Send a S.A.R.G.E all the way to the south of the map then west. Now you can steal petra 7 from the enemy's main vent! upgrade S.A.R.G.E then get them to attack enemy brozaars and Xeno-Worts (except the one that's stealing in the south). Three Exploiters will be dropped near your base, don't let them be destroyed. Build healers and place them over your barragers. Defend your base before you start taking more vents. Take the vent Northeast of your base first. Take the mine to the south. Make sure your S.A.R.G.E is still stealing from the enemy's vent. deploy 4 Xeno-Worts around the vent south of your base. Don't bother taking the vents in the north middle and east middle as there won't be much petra-7 left in them to make it worthwhile. start building reapers, as many as you can. When you have a large enough army, send them south to destroy the enemy base. .
