CHASER, COMPLETE WALKTHROUGH by STENBRO and NaSa stenbro@stud.ntnu.no admin@johnchaser.info _______________________________________________ Mission 1: Space station Top -------------------------- This is pretty straightforward. Go down the stairs all the way. The doors that have a green light at the control panel can be opened. Open the door in front of you and look for another green-glowing control panel. Just continue through the right door until you see two bad guys run into a room and there's an explosion. Follow them and get a gun! Now just continue opening doors until you reach a large cargo room. Here, take some time to kill off the bad guys and then take the elevator to the second level. To reach the third level you need to use the computer on the other side of the room. This raises the third level a bit and makes some boxes fall down. Jump on the boxes to reach the third floor and continue. After some more doors and hallways you'll reach another two-story room. The exit is at the bottom (take one of the two lifts). Continue. At one point you reach a large room with some kind of yellow glowing circle on the floor to the right. Step inside and a computer terminal drops down. Now jump down to the other side of the room and enter the door. Continue forward. At one point you need to climb up a ladder inside a ventilation duct. You should reach the escape pod nice and easy, it's even marked with a huge flashing light which door to take. Mission 2: Slums Top --------------------------- This is also pretty straightforward. Kill off the first bad guy and grab the shotgun and the ammo. You need to get all the way downstairs and outside. Once outside, you must follow the road, killing off bad guys and snipers until there's an explosion. The building you should enter is not the one at the end near the fire, but the one before that (there's a door, you'll see it if you follow the road and don't use the alleys). Go through it and keep tracking through the house. You'll have to go underground a bit and come up on the other side, then head down an alley with some "elite" troops. Eventually you'll emerge in a big open space (with more bad guys). Head right here through the passage. Just keep going, it's all straightforward and just one way to follow. Eventually you'll start having some flashbacks. Ignore them and continue. You'll reach the end of an alley where you can jump over the fence via some boxes. You're done! Mission 3: Sneaky Top --------------------------- On this level stealth is alpha and omega. First, don't go straight ahead but turn right and go all the way around the block. When you approach the last corner you should hear him talking to you. When he says "go", run around the corner and into the building. Go through the first door and through the left door. When you hear a lock opening, hide between the boxes in the hallway until the painters have stopped talking. Now head through the door left of the painters. Continue through the room until you reach a camera. Take the door to the left right under the camera (don't worry, it's broken). You'll eventually emerge in a hallway with a stairwell going upstairs. Take it like he says. Now continue straight ahead, to the right and then the second door on the left at the end of this hallway. You'll head through another room and emerge in a hallway with two painters. Wait until they have disappeared into the room ahead and then quickly go through the door and crouch behind the boxes (there's a camera there, this will prevent it from seeing you). Stay there for a couple of seconds and then quickly run up the stairs, into the dark hallway, to the right and to the end. There's a new corridor, you need to go to the left and right to the end, in the door and in another door to the right to get to the bathroom. Approach the window and watch a cut scene. Now, you must go back into the hallway via the room and wait for the guard to disappear the other way. Wait for 15-20 seconds behind the covered-up furniture and you should be OK. Now run into the room and to the window again for a second cut scene. To get out, get back to the room left of the bathroom you were in and open the window. Jump out (careful) and use the scaffolding to get down. Backtrack around the block back to the car, and you're out! Mission 4: Waterworks Top --------------------------- To get into the waterworks, run down the street and straight ahead. There is a door, go through it and open the "grated" door. Go up the stairs all the way to the top and to the end of the corridor. Walk through some doors and small hallways until you reach a room. Go left into another room and sneak out onto the ledge through the hole in the wall. Follow the ledge and climb up onto the metal bar that crosses the road. Follow this into a ventilation duct and take it to get inside. Once inside, you need to kill off some bad guys and take the door immediately to the left of where you came out of the ducts. Walk down the hallway and watch out for some bad guys throwing barrels down the stairs at the end. Wait for the barrels to roll down, then kill off the two bad guys and go up the stairs. The rest of the level is really pretty straightforward. First you'll reach a section with some snipers out on a ledge. Now you need to go down via stairs, ladders, holes etc. etc. right to the bottom, but remember to take out the snipers on each level. Once down, proceed until you reach a long ladder. Take that up. After some more tracking you'll encounter some lethal gas flowing out of a pipe. Now you need to find another one of those long enclosed ladders and take it down. Take out a bunch of bad guys and turn the valve to stop the steam. Return back up and pass the pipe. At one section now there should be a small ventilation duct to crawl through. Eventually you'll reach a "split" room with railings all around the edges. At one spot the railing is damaged - jump down here and continue. Basically, just kill off any opposition, there is just one way to go. At one point you'll have to get on top of some of the larger pipes in order to reach another ventilation shaft. You should drop down onto a concrete structure with a hole you can drop through. Eventually you'll reach the place where they're keeping the toxin and the final cut scene appears! Mission 5: Little Tokyo Top ---------------------------- You start in the sewers, and this is probably the most straightforward part of the game. Just go around the canal until you see a hole (it's well lit-up, too) in the wall to the right. Jump down into the corridor and follow it to the other side. Once you emerge, you need just to go straight ahead and to the right. There's a ladder on the right side of the canal that leads up and outside. Now it gets trickier. First, use the boxes and rubble to get over the fence. Once you're over you'll have to be on a constant lookout for snipers on the rooftops and inside buildings. Take your time and wipe out the opposition as you continue down the road. You must take some back alleys until you reach a fence at the end of one. Head right and under the fence. There's a "hole" to jump into at the back of this section. Underground again. First of all, try to stay on the elevated ledge. This way you can easily kill off all the bad guys "upstairs" and get an elevation advantage to finish those on the ground. Remember that you can shoot through the grating (and they can shoot you). Continue around until you get to the end. You will be able to jump onto and over the pipe at the right end of the last "alley" to get to another similar section. Follow it until you reach a fence. You might first want to climb under it to finish off all opposition on the other side, but eventually you must get onto the elevated ledge and jump onto the pipe. Follow it to get to a third similar section. The exit is just ahead, just keep on the ledge and follow it right ahead for a cut scene. Now it's time to get the hell out of here. That's pretty straightforward too, just get out the door and onto the street. Continue over the bridge and down another street. You'll have to duck into some alleys now, just keep going and watch out for bad guys emerging from around corners. You'll eventually reach a gate, continue into the house. You must reach a certain upstairs window for a cut scene with the car crashing through the gate to happen. Now go back down and outside and you're done! Level 6: Japanese Hotel Top ---------------------------- The first order of business is to find an open ventilation grate to climb into. Follow the ducts until you emerge in a stairwell. Kill off the bad guys and head up. The doors are all strange and Japanese in this level :) you'll recognize them best by that the doors stick out from the walls so that they can be sledded. When you get to the top of the stairs, the door to the right should get you on another flight of stairs eventually. Just follow the map through until you reach a window you can hop through and down onto the ground. Your bag of stuff is laying in the open in the farthest part of the "bushes". Get it and there's a cut scene. Now go behind the rock you saw in the cut scene and into the ventilation ducts again. You'll emerge in the same stairwell as before, only now take the door to end this part of the level. Now you have to get out. Just follow the hallways, killing off any opposition. Also beware that bad guys might emerge out from the side doors to the hallways. If a room potentially holds an enemy, you can see through the door at the room inside. After some walking, you'll reach a point with some of the family soldiers and a cut scene appear. Now, kill off all the soldiers outside and go back. You should be able to go in a door which wasn't open before. Keep on going and there's another couple of family soldiers inside which needs to be taken care of. Continue and you should easily find the end of the level yourself. I didn't keep my save for this level so I can't quite remember how the map was, but I remember it was easy finding my way around though. You'll encounter the stabilizers down in the basement. At number two (downstairs) you must jump up onto the wooden things and continue on the tilted part of the wall to avoid being crushed by the stabilizer. Then at one there's a closed door. What you need to do is go downstairs and through a ventilation duct and use the computer (the one with the picture of the door) to open it, then go back up. Navigate your way through the stabilizer area, it really isn't that difficult :). Hope that was enough for you to end the level! Mission 7: Portland Top ---------------------------- There are a lot of soldiers to be taken care of on this level. First quickly walk through all the three rooms to take out any enemies on the ground. Be careful, do not take too many hits, there are a lot of bad guys left and the health packs are scarce. Snipe off the bad guys in the windows of the central room, then continue to the room on the right and continue sniping off the soldiers that appear. At some point some of them will start shooting at you from the roof above you, so be prepared. After a lot of sniping a cut scene will appear telling you to assist the rest of your team in protecting the truck. Quickly get to the left room. Now things get worse. You have to snipe off a lot of bad guys in the ceiling as well as one in the window on the opposite side of the room AND keep an eye on what's going on behind you. There's health at both sides on this room, as well as armour on the far side. You might need it before the end. Kill off all opposition (you can tell when you're done by the large group that attacks together at the end) and return to kill off any remaining opposition in the other rooms to finish the level! Mission 8: Lighthouse Top --------------------------- When you start, go around to the front of the lighthouse so that you see some construction-like buildings or something. Take the stairs down and go right (killing off whatever necessary). Go in the door. You can now go left and downstairs (watch out for bad guys) to power-up if you want. Now (upstairs), there's a door on your right if I'm not mistaken that after a couple of additional rooms lead out to some sort of back alley, with a bad guy firing grenades at you. Take him out and then jump up to the roof of the building. Watch out for bad guys on the ledges above and in front of you. Jump back down and head right (more bad guys). There are three houses, you are for now interested in the last one. There should be a hole down on the wall on the backside of the third house which you need to climb through. If I remember right the door you will enter is in the hallway to your right. Can't remember this next section accurately, but it should be straightforward. I think I found some stairs to walk up until I opened a door and found myself outside on the ledge of the first building. If you run into a big ruin-like room after going up a set of stairs, there's another set of stairs leading down which you need to take (remember to try all doors, and if it's closed, it's closed). The next troublesome area could be inside the second house, when you climb up a ladder, but only reach the first ledge because it is broken. Now you need to go outside and around to open the door on the other side of the building. Don't walk forward or you'll fall down again! Now you must JUMP and grab the rest of the ladder leading up to the second ledge. From here you must get onto the central construction and drop down the hole. Follow the pipes until you see a crack in the floor big enough for you to jump through. Kill off all opposition and start looking in the side-rooms in the corridors. The white gratings that cover the ventilation ducts are shoot able. Just try and fail until you find the duct which leads slightly upwards for like eons ahead. You will emerge in the lighthouse stairwell. Go up and inside the room (bad guys) to pull BOTH levers. Now head all the way down to the bottom (more bad guys) and into the elevator and you're done ! Next bit is helping Kabir getting through the docks. You only have your sniper rifle here, but the level is the easiest in the game by far. Just use the sniper's zoom wisely and watch your aim and you should be fine. My general tactic was to use the lowest zoom level (I have zoom on my mouse wheel so it's easy) to orientate myself to the whereabouts of bad guys (you can see them as little shadows, or find them by seeing the lightflashs from when they shoot), then zoom in quite a bit to finish them off. Don't bother with head shots, a shot to the torso will do. Some of the bad guys carry grenades, take them out first (look for explosions). One particular bad guy is located beneath the fuel tanks with a grenade launcher. You could snipe him easily but it's more fun to actually shoot out the fuel tanks and creates one hell of an explosion :). Just keep on sniping bad guys and you should get through this level easily. After a cut scene, exit to the roof and the mission is finished! Mission 9: The Water Road Top ------------------------------- These two levels are the single most annoying in the game. You're underwater in a little submarine trying to follow some lights while taking out other small subs that try to stop you. I won't go through the levels again so that I can write a cooking recipe for this mission, but I'll simply provide you with some general tips & tricks and explain a little more in detail in the tight spots. You have to touch the lights in order to see the next one. The first light is right near you, touch it and you should hear a noise and the light turns blue. Follow the next two lights and you should reach the front of a sunken ship. Now comes the tricky part. You have to go inside through the front window the little door and continue almost the entire next two levels inside narrow passages. You can't see the next light, get used to it :). But, if you fiddle around enough you should be able to get out of there and find the exit to the next level. Also remember to try and think logically, it might help in finding the next light. Something like: "where would I put it?". The next level is IMHO worse. After touching the first light, the next is off-sight in another shipwreck to the right. Keep following the lights until you have to go inside and **** around some more. This level features three major "outside" areas: the one at the start, one in the middle and one at the end. At the second one the next light is at the very bottom, inside a narrow passage. You'll have to go all the way down and then look around some for it. Also there's a lesser "outside" area where there's a dead end in an opening near one light, here you have to go back outside and search for another light and another way "in". The last outdoor area luckily has the exit far up to the right (?) as you emerge into it. Congratulations, you're done! Mission 10: The Warehouse Top ------------------------------- Now you'll have to clear the path and open the gate for Kabir. Start by going in the grated door, then in the door to the left. Kill all bad guys and break the glass in one of the windows for an exit. Kill off more baddies and go in another door on the left. More killing spree, then get up on the elevated ledges and go outside and climb onto the roof. Here jump down on the other roof and down the hatch (might be wise to turn on night vision here). Continue down the ducts to the end and exit. Go through the doors and find your way downstairs killing off all opposition. Now there's some closed doors and a way outside. Once outside pay attention to the tower; there's a sniper with a grenade launcher up there and he'll finish you off easily. If you get the chance, snipe him from the doorway. Then proceed to a larger area with snipers in elevated position and lots of elevated walkway. Kill off the bad guys and head inside the door (ground level) at the very right. Press the button. Seems you'll have to find the generators... Go back outside the same way. The path to the generators begins with the lift, now immediately to your left there's a metal casing which is the lift. Take it down and proceed through the facility. At one point you can see the backside of one of the doors that were closed earlier; shoot away the little metal rod and go around (you can continue through, don't have to go all the way back up) and open it to get through to a new area. You'll eventually find the generator room(s). Kill off all resistance and work your way down to the valves. Turn them. Now go further down and increase the burners in alphabetical order. Finally, go all the way down and into the room with the two generators. Press the button on both and go through the other door to get back outside. Once you reach a certain point a cut scene appears. Now all you have to do is kill off the bad guys (don't know if you have to finish Tommy off or not...I did) and press the button to open the gate for Kabir again and you're done! Mission 11: Russian Base 1 Top ------------------------------- To exit the sub pen, either go all the way around to the other side (kill off enemies), or just jump in and swim across, there should be a ladder on the other side. The door at the very end leads outside. The Russian base is very big, but it can be done in a matter of minutes if you know where to go and what to look for. First, you need to jump down the little hole in the ice behind the first big block of ice. Here you should act quickly, swim through the open pipe towards the base and emerge in a lit corridor at the other end. Keep going through the corridors and small rooms until you emerge outside (you'll have to throw a light switch at one point). Now, the button that opens the hangar gates are to your left and inside the first alley. There's a set of stairs on the right, the switch is on the near wall. Now you're told to get a car! Going back and continuing can reach the building which holds this left up the road. Keep to the right side of the road and eventually a guy should come out a door and start shooting at you. Kill him and head inside, get to the second big room with the car and kill off all opposition. Now you have to repair the car :) ! Go back outside. Now head back to the alley with the hangar switch. Continue down until you reach a flight of stairs on the left side. Take it to reach the rooftop and enter the door ahead. Now there are two possible ways to get the spare part; if you take the next stairs on the right, you emerge in the downstairs big hall and you can just go to the very left and down and inside the door, the spare part are on one of the shelves in the back of this area. You could also continue straight ahead and kill off more bad guys, a little detour that will take you to another part of the building (you will eventually emerge in the big storage hall anyway). After you get the part, head back to the car for a cut scene. So now you need to open the main gate (damn!). The door you're after isn't on a building not too far from the gate, there's a narrow part of the building going out a bit, and the doors at the tip end of this. Open it and head inside. First, get upstairs. Continue through the facility until you reach a long room with elevated walkways on either side. Whatever you do, don't fall down :) ! I did and found no way back up ... bug in the game? The door on the nearest far end is the one you're after. Head inside and kill off more bad guys, then jump onto the ground. There's a red-lighted staircase that you should take all the way up and head over a walkway and into a control room. Throw the switch and head back down (you'll actually have to jump over the railing and onto various obstacles to get down on the ground floor). Head to the end of the big hall and around the corner and you're out! Mission 12: Russian Base 2 Top ------------------------------- This one is also a pain in the ass. You can start approaching the gate slowly, there are three bad guys to snipe off. To find the alternative route into the base, go back via the road and jump off on the right side. Now you should start to be careful, health packs are scarce here in the middle of nowhere :). It might be wise to continue sniping off enemies, as they will generally spot you from a safe distance. Go up the slope to the right and down the other side. Watch out, there's and ambush waiting for you. As you reach a certain spot, 4-5 snipers will appear on the top at the right-hand side. Finish them off and continue until you reach a bridge. Snipe off more enemy snipers and continue forward until you reach a "crossroad". Head left through the path with a lot of rocks and continue until you reach a snowman (don't worry, it's not alive :) ). Now go down the path to the left and you'll eventually reach the outskirts of the enemy base (remember to snipe off any opposition). The base can be reached by climbing the rubble in the wall. Head inside the only door in the area (change to a melee weapon) and in another door. Kill off the snipers and throw the switch to open a gate (not the one you're looking for, though). Now you can snipe at least six bad guys from the two windows in this room. Head back out and through the hallway outside. Kill off any remaining bad guys and watch for a new sniper in the window. Head through the big gate and across the open field. Jump down the hole into the parking lot. Work your way all the way upstairs (take it easy - there's a lot of bad guys and few health packs - snipe them off if possible) and you should run straight into the switch for the main gate. Now you can continue to get up on the roof. A couple of careful jumps should take you down in one piece. Now run just follow the road ahead to reach a gate and a cut scene. Now this truck isn't Kabir - it's just bad guys. Kill them off and continue forward and down to the right. One door should open (think it was on the left-hand side) and take you inside another building. After screwing around a bit you should eventually reach the real switch for the main gate. Get back outside for a cut scene, and you're through. Mission 13: Gulag Top ------------------------------- That bastard :) ! Now you have to sneak Piotr out the Russian Gulag - or maximum security prison! Begin by walking around and sniping off the guards in the various towers. The entrance to the prison is at the big concrete building. Now my memory is a little rusty but I think I threw a switch to open the doors into the main prison facility. Now you need to fins Piotrs cell (should be easy - it's in the A-block and the number is given by your objectives screen) to find out he's not there! He's been locked up in the "cage". Continue inwards and down into the facility to find section 'X'. Again your objectives screen gives the number to Piotrs cell. Approach the door for a cut scene. Now go out the door immediately to your right. Work your way down into the mines and start heading through them. At one point, after killing off some bad guys the tunnel in front of you will collapse. Head back and there should be an explosion to your right after a short walk - now head in that tunnel to the end and that the elevator up to freedom! Mission 14: Earth Spaceport Top ------------------------------- Now you'll have to sneak in again. This level offered me quite a lot of screwing around and I can't seem to remember everything, but I'll give you any information I can. In the second big tube you should be able to climb up into the ventilation ducts (as always :) ). You're in section A and need to reach section B. Continue through the ducts (it can seem a little confusing but there's really only one way to go) until you reach a spot where you can climb up via a ladder through a slow-moving fan. Now head, I think left from the top of the ladder and look through the gratings at each end to see if you've reached section B (it should have a large red 'B' on the wall. At one point you can crawl back out. Head into the hall up to the door. Now you can jump into the pipe here. Head left into the pipe until you emerge in a room with a big tube going up the centre. Crawl into it and follow until it leads you into a smaller pipe. You don't need to go in there, it's a dead end. Instead, to your left there is a crack between the two pipes. Use it to jump onto the lesser pipes running along the wall, then use them to jump onto the top of the big tube. Walk up to the top and turn around. Jump up and grab the ladder onto the metal bar, then jump again to reach another ladder taking you up to the surface. Now kill off everything to your right and turn around. Head down all the way around, killing off a good number of bad guys, until you reach a big cement blockade. Now jump inside the broken Jupiter-sized ventilation duct and head down the passage. Kill off everything in this new room. You can duck under the grating at the right end at the fan to your right. Go down the ladder at the end of this duct and then head back along the bottom. Have your sniper rifle ready and get down the hole. Snipe off everyone quickly and use some cement blocks on the backside to get down. Continue onward and you should emerge in the big launching room with a partially dismantled rocket. Now you can have fun sniping off everyone up on the big walk around, or you can just climb up using one of the four ladders, run around and kill everybody. You have to go up there eventually and reach the rubble on the other side. You have to climb up and use it to reach a broken ladder (this might be a little difficult). Take the ladder upstairs and into another BIG ventilation duct. You're not supposed to continue inwards, but (facing out) now to your left you can climb even further up to reach another walk around higher up. Follow it until you can crawl into another ventilation duct. You should now emerge on the other side of the cement rubble that stopped you earlier on. Now you can go down the stairs and into another part of the spaceport. This section is kind of a blur to me right now :), but that only means it probably was easy. At one point you'll reach a room with a staircase leading up to a elevated walkway. Ignore it for now and go further into the next room. Here you need to throw a switch at the bottom to move the lift, then go back onto the walkway in the previous room. Now head down the passage, use the grating at the end to knock it out and carefully jump onto the lift. It will take you through to another room, get off it (kill off bad guys) and get on the train in the middle. Ride it. Jump out and walk forward for a cut scene. Here you have to act real fast. In addition to Kabir and his bad guys there are several minigun-turrets that will kill you quickly if you stay in the open. Backtrack towards the train and hide behind the crates when the turrets start shooting. Now you can use your AK47 (it's the one with the 2x zoom you can't adjust) to snipe off bad guys, and more importantly, turrets. A turret should take about 10 hits before it explodes. Continue doing this to take out all the turrets. Some health and armour can be found down to the end, left when you're facing inwards from the train. After you've done with the turrets, finish off Kabir (he doesn't take too much, but watch out he's quite deadly). Now get up on the ledge where Kabir was and find you're way out! Mission 15: Mars Spaceport Top ------------------------------- More trouble (of course). I don't have the exact route for this first part, but all you have to do is keep escaping. You need to go ALL the way downstairs, as far as I can remember, and find your way into the maintenance part of the spaceport. It should go easily in a couple of tries. Now it gets a LOT trickier getting out of this maintenance section. The first order of business is to get down into a big area where some crates are going on some rails. You need to get on top of one of these to continue. Jump over the obstacles on the way until you can jump off to the left. Kill off enemies. Now you have to throw two switches to lower a bridge. One is near where you came off the big box and the other one is further back. Head over the bridge once you've lowered it and prepare for some battle. Now throw another switch. After the machinery is done, shoot the red barrel to make a path through the boxes. Again my memory for this next area is a little bad. (Which again means it should be easy). You'll eventually reach some gas flowing out of a pipe. It can only be turned off from the other side, but if you hug the wall you'll get through with minor damage. Turn it off and head up. You'll now see gas coming out of two pipes above a open grate. You need to turn it off. To do this, head all the way up and look for two pipes running doen a hole beside the walkway. Jump down and turn the two valves to turn off the gas. Head back down and into the hole. You'll reach a room with an elevator, turn right first to turn off some more gas and take the elevator up. The rest of the map should be pretty straightforward to complete, as far as I can remember. Mission 16: Mars Prison Top ------------------------------- Open the door and get outside. Now just follow Jay. At one point you're asked to close the door behind you - do so and you're suddenly on a lift down! Don't worry, Jay isn't supposed to go with you here. Just make your way through and you'll meet up with him again. Now follow him until you reach a set of stairs. When he says 'wait a second' stop immediately and don't move! If you move you will alert the guard and fail the mission. Wait until Jay has killed off the guard and go all the way up to get a gun! Now take the lead and kill off all opposition and Jay will follow you and show you where to go. If he stops and doesn't move for a while, it means you have to go first to kill off the bad guys, then he'll come after you. Do this a couple of times to reach the main computer terminal and a cut scene. Now find your way back out (watch out - lots of bad guys) and head into the facility. The exact route isn't in my head - but there's only one way to go and the three terminals are right next to each other. You can't see far ahead in these levels so you'll probably eventually just stumble upon a kind of crossroads. To each side and ahead lies the switches you need to throw to release the prisoners. Do so and head back to the main terminal (a door will have opened with some bad guys allowing a quick route back). The exit for this part of the mission should be just ahead. This next level is real easy with respect to finding your way around. There's a couple of tight spots though. One is when you go down stairs around a centred structure, there are rocket turrets to be taken care of all the way. The exit is at the door behind the stairs at level 0, the bottom level. You should eventually reach a big "void" (you can't see far in these levels anyhow) where you go across elevated walkways. It's a one-way street until you reach a part where the walkway above you crashes down and destroys the one you're on in front of you. Head back and find the same thing has happened here! Now turn around, there should be a piece of a higher walkway that has also come down which you can follow up. Find an elevator and take it to get to the end of this mission. (I know this was a little short - pm me if you get stuck, it's getting harder to remember as the levels grow big :) ). Mission 17: Get Explosives Top ------------------------------- This one could be a little tricky. First, run like hell for the door and get inside. Now wait for the door to open and prepare for an ambush. Finish off all opposition in this hallway and head onto the elevation. One of the doors should open. Now continue killing lots of bad guys until you reach the control room door. Try it and you'll be told to get a key card. Find the room with the stairs and take them to the second floor. Head back out into the second floor hallway. Follow it around (killing off bad guys) until you reach a door to the control room with a busted keypad. The key card you're looking for is one of the crew quarters. It's a blue rectangle that's hard to miss - you might need to use it to pick it up though. Now head back around to the other side. Here you should find the armoury. Go inside and familiarize yourself with how this works - you might need a lot of health later. Use the keypad on the door to the control room here to go inside and prepare yourself for lots of fighting the rest of the map. You must head upstairs and inside to you right. Now to your right again you'll run into a laser field. To destroy, lob a grenade (grenades can be found in the armoury) over the glass on each side to destroy the power lines. Head through and watch out! This section is crowded with turrets. Fight your way through until you actually reach the main control room and use a keyboard to watch a cut scene. Now you're outside and this is straightforward. Be aware that secondary fire fires missiles in this new suit of yours. Just kill off all opposition, should be nice and easy, and you're finished. Don't bother with the planes, they can't be shot down, and watch out when they fire missiles at you. Mission 18: Train Station Top ------------------------------- This have to be the biggest level in the game. And by that I mean it's HUGE. You start at landing pad. Don't bother with the doors and buildings here, you can't get in. Instead cross the pad and jump onto the edge. You should see a walkway under you at the right end. Jump down onto it, but don't bother taking it all the way across to the other launch pad. When you reach a large concrete foundation on your right, jump off and head back the way you came on the ground. Go under the walkway you were on and past the big rock straight ahead. Now follow this new walkway all the way to the end and climb up. Head left and jump onto the main walk around. Now watch out, a troop of enemy soldiers are waiting just around the corner. Take them out and continue (there's a 100-health on the other side of the walk around if you get badly injured). Now have your sniper rifle handy. Continue along the big central walkway a bit and snipe off the two guard at the top of the other walkway ahead (careful - they have grenade launchers). Continue and head left to the tower. Here you can open the door and go inside. Go down the ladder and into the train tunnel. Follow this past the first ladder and to a second door. You'll have to do this next bit on your own - but it should be easy enough. You'll eventually take a ladder up and emerge at the top of the other big tower. Now follow the roof around and head into the second big ventilation duct on your right. Now comes a tricky part - the passage dead ends, the only way through is down through that hole. You'll have to carefully jump all the way to the bottom at the pipes. Be careful to land in the middle of a pipe, as you can easily slip and fall down if you get too near the edge. At the bottom you'll have to fight off an annoying number of enemies, some of which carry grenade launcher. The next "exit" is ahead and down the long corridor to the right. You should reach a room where you need to go down another hole onto some pipes. Snipe off the bad guys in this huge area and find You're way down on the ground. Don't worry with the control panels - they can't be operated - instead head through the door that can be opened. Here you can use the control panel. Do so and get done and inside the train on the left side (facing into the tunnel). Now for a little cut scene...then you'll have to throw a switch up on the elevated walkway where the guard is and return to the train to continue. Now for a long scene with you on the train ... it will come to a halt eventually. Now you need to exit the train on the right-hand side and go up the ladder. Watch out for more tough bad guys and head through the door into the control room to switch the tracks. Get back and into the train (it has moved since last time). Another train ride - and another trip into a similar control room to do the exact same thing. Get back to the train again for another cut scene. For this part with blowing up the train, just meet up with your pals outside and follow them down. The final cut scene will appear shortly. Mission 19: Lomonosov Crater Top ------------------------------- The first part is easy - just head to the very end of the hallway and into the elevator. Now it gets a LOT trickier. There are lots and lots of minigun turrets on this level - not to mention other enemies. From the first door, take out two turrets and shoot the barrels (at a safe distance) to blow off one of the covers over the ducts that go under the floor. Follow this in and head down. Now your path is through another duct, watch out when the floor above you changes from solid to grating - this will allow turrets to see you. Kill off a couple of turrets in this hallway and get out of the ducts. It appears that Sternbro hasn't had time to finish his walk through so I'm gonna give it a go. NaSa. I'm only gonna "Highlight" places where I think you may get stuck.. Truly, most of the game is quite linier. If you are still stuck, please post your problem in the forum. Here goes! Much of this level is as above except when you arrive at the "Laser room" There are heavy's here one on the left the other, you guessed, on the right. Objective here is to find and activate 2 computer consoles. Once you're dealt with the bad guys, look at the 3 crates, jump on the ledge then straight onto the top crate. Don't linger, there radioactive. ( Check the picture WT if you need more help. ) Once you master this the level is much the same, use the ledges to jump lasers or simply just duck under them. Open the door and.........get ready. Follow your way through until you come to a room with a lift shaft? On your right. Take out the BG's then look to the right of the shaft. You'll see a ledge that will lead you to the ladder, climb until you are under the window where the BG's where. Jump into the window. I mention this because the jump from a distance looks ........impossible. The next place is the room with the rubble. I'll try and make this as clear as I can. If you find you can't move, either duck or jump. Turn on your night vision. Enter, turn left, then right, forward to metal plates on wall, turn left. duck under rock goto the end wall. Turn left, at end turn left again, move forward, turn immediate left. You should now see the fallen metal plate, yes? Great, now goto the plate and look left and up. You'll see some metal rods, these belive it or not, are your ladder. B4 you start jumping look a little to the left, you'll see the top of a rock, that's were you wanna get to. SAVE!!!! Tip: 5/6 BG's round the corner. I found it easier to stay on the ledge by the door and make them come to you. Because it's very dark, and using night vision, screenshot not very good. If I can do a half decent one I'll post it. OK, quit simple Kill, Kill, Kill. If like me you missed the entrance to the next section of this level and spent time trying to do an impossible jump, read on............Remember the ladder which has a wire fence at the bottom? It's broken, just jump through the hole. Aaaaaaahhhhhh! Not far now keep going. Next level. Lomonosov shafts. Top It' a puzzle. Up the ladder, down the ladder, walk the plank etc, etc............................... Avoid fights, you will need your health on the next level. Lomonosov Rebels. This is a big level and quite striagft forward. Tip: Low on health? Don't bother with the room that has the blue arch! A lot of work for no reward! Take the steps...................Just follow your way through and follow the pipes. I found it easier to kill the BG's from this advantage point then jump down. Seek and destroy, searching the rooms to your left transversing the collapsed floor. Go through the open doors, you guessed, lots of BG's, nothing to heavy! No need to go through the hole in the wall just yet. Look up, you'll see a metal walkway where there's a "Taff" go get it! Search a bit more and find the entrance to the um........cave thing. You can fight some BG's (behind the metal plates) but as far as I'm concerned it's a dead end. Go back and through the hole in the wall. Keep going. Really nothing too taxing here. Tip: Look up...................... The way forward is in this chamber. Up the fallen trunking. Some heavy shit in this room! Don't kill you m8's here, it's not nice! As I say this room is heavily guarded, you remembered to pick up the "Taff"? your gonna need it! Killed all the BG's,? SAVE! Now look around and activate.......something. Wait, cut sceen. You now need to find your exit. (It's very close) Good you found the cave. Forward and make ready. Take out the 2 BG's and jump through the hole in the wall. (Night vision) At the end of the passage you'll see a metal bulkhead with a section missing, we need to get on the other side. Find the hole in the wall downstairs and jump through. ( This is a crouch jump) find the stairs. You'll come to a large room, on your right is a wooden gate partly closed. Do not approach this door just yet. If you do, RUN LIKE HELL! LOL. Explore the room first. you will need a safe refuge, go left and find a hidding place. The lift? Sounds good to me. Now approach the gate, it will close. RUN!!!!! and hide in the lift. BOOM! At this point you can hit the lift switch if you want.......................lift doors close....................lift doors open, that's it! Make your way back to the gate which is now open. Take out the BG's on the upper level. We now need to go down. Jump the rail and kill the BG's anyway you can. The next problem we encounter is how to get down the hole? I found a way down through trial and error. If your really stuck try this. Jump to large concrete slab, then onto the bolder................................... Top Up shaft. Light resistence. Forward, some friends near here so be careful. 3/4 BG's. Continue down shaft. This will lead you to the "garage". Quite large with one surprise! Once youv'e done doing "what a mans gotta do" take the open door. Make your way up. STOP!! at the second staircase. Make sure your're fully tooled up. Scccchhhhh, tip toe up. BANG! your dead, LOL! I found it easier to coax the BG's down the stais. Once you've sorted these JAMF's out you now have two windows in the walls. At this point don't take the hole @ the top of the stairs. (It's up to you) Jump the one that exits on a higher level above the garage. Work your way round killing any BG's on the way. Jump down and collect any goodies if you need them. Return to the room with the staiscase and jump the other window. This is the way forward. Directly under the window are the BG's and auto-turrets. You might want to throw a few grenades over first. Find the partially open door. This room is easy to workout, but heavily guarded! See you on the otherside. Quite tricky? I thought so. So, follow the way round. At the bottom of the stairs look right, this is the way forward. Explore, then come back and take a look at the cave. We need to get to the other side. Night vision on if you need it, work your way round, I or 2 BG's on the way nothing too heavy. Now, some people have trouble making this.....................easy jump! This seemingly easy jump has caused a lot of players problems (including me) it's the second frigging jump problem I've had with chaser. Use the "timescale" cheats to make the jump. Others use adrenaline mode. Whichever works for you! On the other hand many make the jump NP! This is the way forward :)))) If you can't do it, here's the save file. Top Whichever way you did it lets continue. The next part is straightforward enough, a large quadrangle with 3 floors. The BG's come in pairs, and one, sometimes both have a "Taff". Find staircases and work your way down. When you come to the room with an open duct and a staircase, explore downstairs, no goodies as usual! Make you're way to the room with the screens, you can't jump into the window, look up. The way to go should now be obvious, back up stairs and into the duct. Transverse the planks and jump down into the window. No BG's here go forward...............Tunnels, search, as I said, no BG's here so take a look around. Earth tremor, rock fall, no way back. Search for you way out............ The next "level" is a maze. A few BG's around, nothing you can't handle at this The end!!!
