Star Wars, Episode I - Battle for Naboo
As Lieutenant Sykes you'll face many hardships. After all, scavenging the entire planet of Naboo for allies isn't an easy task. And, the opposition of the Trade Federation doesn't make it any easier. As if all that's not enough, you'll have to carry a faultless record and near-perfect accuracy to earn the top medals. Naturally, this guide will provide you with the answers and tips you need to become a rough-and-tough, sky-skimming, trail-blazing pilot. Detailed within this section is a walkthrough of all 15 levels as well as guidance for obtaining all the medals.
Escape from TheedYour objective is to escort Captain Kael through the droid-occupied streets of Theed. After successfully making your way through the city you must escape into the nearby farmlands. There are three critical junctures in the level where you have to get the Captain out of a messy situation.
1. He first calls out for your help, "Sykes, where are you? My vehicle is damaged, I can't take much more of this," as he encounters a vehicle malfunction and is quickly surrounded by four Droidekas. The droids will roll out from the dark corners of the area. It's best to try to destroy them while they're rolling and just as they're standing up before they activate their shields. Their shields are their biggest assets. Get them while their shields are down, or it will take a lot more firepower.
2. After you bail his hide out of that mess, his engines are damaged and he needs more help. Again he's pinned in by three Droidekas. The first thing you want to do, though, is get rid of that pesky AAT. As you come out of the turn to assist Captain Kael, head to the right in the opposite direction of him. An AAT will (noticeably) be raining fire on you and Kael. The easiest and cheapest way to knock him out is to put the front of your flash speeders nose against his. From this angle he can't hit you with his lasers. Make you blast him on your way to greet him, of course. Otherwise you can knock him out with a few missiles.
BONUS: Slip into the small room just behind where the AAT was guarding for your shield technology bonus.
Then you'll have three Droidekas to take care of. Unless their rolling into a different position their shields will be long-since activated. It's best to stay back and pick them off from a distance.
3. The final objective for the level is to again assist the seemingly
worthless Captain Kael. He is encircled by three Droidekas and threatened by the
impending fire from a AAT. Line yourself up directly in front of the first droid
you see and open fire. As you do this another droid will roll directly in your
path and because its shield isn't up yet it will immediately be destroyed, along
with the other one you were targeting shortly after. This leaves the third droid
and an AAT. If you're quick enough you can knock off the remaining droid and
then attend to the AAT, which is heading out from an archway in the upper
portion of the area. Otherwise take out the tank first and head back to destroy
the Droideka.

NOTE: Any scenarios and tips for gold medals offered within this guide
are not rules to live by, but rather versions of a plan that works.
There are a few important things about the city level that you'll need to
take into consideration to get your gold. To begin, you're only going to kill 41
enemies with 63% accuracy if you bulldoze the enemy, literally. Whether you
crash into a droid or shoot a droid it's a hit. So depending on the angle of
your ship you can kill a flock of birds with one stone. Occasionally you'll have
to take out one or two of the droids in combination with crashing into them.
Missile supply and demand is also a big issue that is extremely relative to
time. The first opportunity to use them is when the four Droidekas surround you.
Take your first shots as the droids roll out of their shadowy corners and you
may not have to use as many missiles. As soon as their shields are up, however,
you should use a missile to knock them off. At this point you'll usually have
three missiles and plenty of time left. At your next encounter head straight for
the AAT blocking the archway that leads to the bonus item. Use one missile on
the AAT
HINT: If you're having trouble with your accuracy percentage, use
lasers instead) and then use the R-button to pull a 180 degree turn. If done
correctly you'll have slid into the bonus and will be facing directly at the
door.
Now head for the final objective crashing (and sliding) into and shooting as
many droids as possible. Take out the three droids as suggested in the above
walkthrough and use your last several missiles on the AAT coming through the
archway. If you're really quick you'll even be able to unload your missiles
before it even gets into the doorway.

As you exit the city and head towards the surrounding plains, it is revealed that the Trade Federation is attacking local farmhouses. Once again, though, you're instructed to press on and head towards the swamps of Naboo. Assuredly, however, there is much trouble and opposition. As you might guess, Captain Kael whines for assistance throughout the entire mission.
1. Just as you begin the mission droids surround you and Kael creating a shooting gallery. Stay close to him and make sure you pick off every droid on your radar. Even at times when no one is around stick close to him because there are a lot of ambushes.

2. Next up, a small settlement is surrounded by droids. Most of them are clustered into groups of two or three. Circle around the settlement picking off the individual units until they're all cleared out. It's imperative to keep an eye on the radar. Stay close to the settlement and take down the ones imposing the closest threat.
3. The last major battle is fought on the bridge. Stay close to Captain Kael protecting him on the way there, and get (and stay) ahead of him as you approach the bridge. You should have saved all your missiles for this point, take out the AATs before and after the bridge, then trade in the Flash Speeder for the Police Cruiser at the hanger. If the AATs get to Kael the mission will be a failure. Medals

Getting the gold in this level can prove quite vexing. There is certainly no specific way to get the gold other than the obvious. One thing that will help you stay on top of the game is to use the Flash Speeder instead of the Heavy STAP. It's a faster vehicle, but you'll have to have more patience when chasing around droids. Other than that, be sure to maintain high accuracy and only shoot when you've got a real chance of hitting your enemy. Usually this is when you're direction behind them. Also, memorize the level and events. If you stay ahead of the game you can cut down on travel time that would normally be wasted listening to Captain Kael's incessant gibber-jabber. Save all your missiles for the fight on the bridge, and, again, if you're having trouble keeping your accuracy % up then take out one of the tanks with lasers instead of the missiles. "Enemies destroyed" can also be a real problem because Captain Kael will gun down some of your enemies before you do. Sometimes enemies are lurking on the edges of the radar, so step off-track every so often and take them out. At least that way Kael doesn't cash in on all your hard work.
Naboo BayouLeaving the farmlands of Naboo you head straight for the bayou. Concealed in the core of the swamp is a small trader village. Some of the inhabitants may have valuable information, resources, or even be able to aid in the fight against the Trade Federation. Incidentally the Trade Federation is attacking this small village as you arrive there. Your main objective is to relieve swamps of any opposition and pick up allies in the meantime.
1. The first order of business is to take out those three gunboats. Take two of them out with your missiles (two missiles per boat) and use your lasers on the last one, thus driving up accuracy. The boats form a sort of triangle with the base facing towards you. It seems to work best if you take out the left and right side of the base first, ending with the one farthest from you at the top.

2. Immediately after you destroy all three gunboats, two droid
starfighters will come blazing out of a valley off to the right. Don't get in
front up them, but get right behind them. From there taking them out is as easy
as you make it.
3. After you destroy the droid starfighters
another flock of them will be hot on your companion's tale. Depending on Captain
Kael's mood he may assist you with the four of them. Again (and this is a rule
of thumb) swing up behind the fighters and shoot them down.

4. Another cry for help is heard and you're off to fend off four more droid starfighters from Captain Kael's tale end. The first two of them will come out from the right. Stay close to Kael and let them fly out in front of you. Soon after another pair will fly in from the left side of the screen. Subsequent to offing the four of them you should find yourself approaching a left hook in the river. Off to the right, just before the turn there's a villager under attack by another gunboat. Unload two of your missiles onto him and press on.
5. Finally there will be a set of starfighters circling the tiny village. A pair of them will be heading straight at you as you come out of the river bend. Try to line your self up direction in front of them and open fire. If you're quick enough you can take them both out with very little hassle. Otherwise it's back to chasing them from behind, which is what you'll have to do to shoot down the rest of the ones circling the island.

The trickiest part about getting gold on this mission is the number of enemies. You absolutely have to stay ahead of your wingmen. If you dawdle they'll jump in and take the kills from you. If you have a lot of trouble with accuracy (which leads to less kills) wait until you pick up the homing missiles later in the game and come back.
Smuggler AllianceLegend of a powerful and mysterious smuggler has found its way into you and your allies circle. Your goal is to enter into the mountains in search of this smuggler in hopes he will join you in your fight against the Trade Federation. And wouldn't you know it, not only is this smuggler in the mountains, he's in need of assistance because the Trade Federation is attacking him. Assist him and he'll gladly join you as an ally.
1. A group of droids will be cruising around a homestead on STAPs. As usual it's best to sneak up behind them as they continue to circle the place. As soon as you finish destroying the droids head back behind the house toward the towering hills. On your radar you'll see two more droids barreling down the hillside. Take them out before they get to the farmer in his speeder.
BONUS: Follow the farmer, he'll lead you to a barn hidden in the valley and then he'll open the gate where a missile upgrade bonus is housed.

2. Post-bonus, you'll want to pass over the farmers under attack by a horde of droids. There's no need to assist them. As the Captain says, keep moving. Then a cut-scene will feature the smuggler's ship under attack, calling for help. Immediately head for the AATs bordering the left side of the mountain's edge. It's usually best to use about one missile along with some lasers to take out the tanks. This way you'll have enough firepower for more AATs. However, it's wise to save one or two missiles for the final AAT blocking a bridge.
3. Then shortly after you dispose of the filth along the cliff edge, Captain Kael will scream, "Incoming AAT!" This should happen right before or as you're crossing a land-bridge. It turns out that there are two AATs. You have two options: blast them from afar or circle around the back of them. The latter is suggested as it will put you out of harms way for a bit.
4. Yet again there will be a few AATs lining the mountain's edge. Keep a close eye on the radar, as it will lead you directly to each and every AAT. When you're finished trashing those lingering tanks you will only have one final encounter with an AAT on a bridge at the end of the level. Captain Kael, as always, will be sure to point out the tanks presence. Try to open fire from a distance, because there's no way to get behind it. Hold down your brakes and take aim. If you saved your missiles you should be able to fire a few of them off and be done with it.

Enemies destroyed and your completion time are going to push you hard on this mission. You can certainly do it without any different ships or weapon upgrades, but it is suggested you come back with the Gian Speeder later. This way you can zip through the level with the Gian's heavy charge lasers. They can destroy an AAT with about a 75% charged shot. Aside from that, there are tons of droids hovering around the level, so with the right kind of accuracy you can really rack up enemy kills.
Hutt's RetreatNow that you've rescued the smuggler, Borvo the Hutt, he's agreed to join the cause and fight The Federation. He still needs more protection until he reaches his hidden outpost. Once you reach his base he'll supply his own pilots to help with the fight.
1. Choose the Flash Speeder as your vehicle and stick with it. When the level starts a ton of droids will be humming around ahead of you. Don't even worry about them since Borvo and Captain Kael will take care of most of them. Then Kael will let you know that, "You can trade in that speeder for a fighter or continue giving us ground support." It is definitely in your best interest to stay on the ground. Chasing around droid starfighters may be fun, but when AATs and turrets are bombarding you with fire from the ground it can prove quite perilous. Overall it's just more organized on the ground.
2. Next up another cluster of droids will zoom down the valley towards you. This time you'll have to take out as many as you can because your air support will be busy with droid starfighters. When you finish with them make haste down to the mine field. Each mine takes two lasers to destroy. Again, Kael and Borvo will aid with the mines, but pick off as much as you can.
3. Now you'll have to deal with a good number of turrets, five to be exact. The first one is situated by itself. Keep your distance and blast it from afar, it won't have a chance to bother you or your team. Then you'll head out into an area holding about four droids with two turrets on your left and two on your right. Head over and obliterate the two on the left first. Then get rid of the two on the opposite side of the basin. If you undergo too much fire from any of the turrets resort to using your missiles, but usually if you're hitting the turrets they don't fire back. This leaves the four droids to be taken care of, but you don't really have to bother with them if you don't want to; although, they may bother you when you take on the incoming AATs.
4. Two AATs will come from around the corner, as usual swing around the back of them to take them out. Approaching their heavy fire from the front is seldom a suggested idea. The shortest route seems to be around their left side, where you hop over the mountain's base.
5. The stakes get higher when you arrive at Borvo's base only to find four AATs circling the inner ground and a few meddling droids on the outskirts. The best course of action is to swing around behind the buildings. Then watch the radar, all four AATs move almost as one, like a centipede. Come up behind the last one and gun your way through to the ringleader. You shouldn't have been touched by one of those tanks' blasters if executed correctly.

6. Lastly, the federation has seized the N-1 assembly plants. Now it's time to take them back. There's one turret in each of the four corners of the site along with several AATs. Start left and make a square around the building connecting the "dots" (destroying the turrets, that is). This puts you in good position to take on most of the AATs from behind, while avoiding most of their gunfire as well. Medals

Again, it is recommended that you stay on the ground. If you take to the air, you usually end up spending more time on the level, and it will make things more difficult. Of course, if you have the homing missiles upgrade, it makes things a great deal easier. If you stick to the ground, it is a good idea to use the Gian Speeder if you have it. The heavy lasers work great on the turrets.
Disruption of Comm 4Now that you've got some allies and N-1 firepower you'll be taking off into outer space. The goal is to eventually attack the Droid Control Ship, but first you'll have to disable the communications web that controls the base.
1.) Lay on the accelerator and turn your ship left towards the Droid Control Ship off in the distance. Don't waste your taking potshots at the shielded communications satellite like Kael suggests. Shortly after your radar will shift more in the direction you're headed that leads to one of the shield generators, and lucky for you you'll be halfway there instead of lollygaging around. Head for the ceiling (as high as the game engine lets you fly) to position yourself above the generator. Fire off exactly three missiles at it and then continue just using lasers. If it doesn't explode as you near it, head back up to the ceiling and attack it from above again. Get too close and you'll get battered by the mine field and droid starfighters.
2.) This is the second of three shield generators. You'll want to head for the ceiling again and take this one out in the same manner you took out the first. Don't be tempted to get too close to these generators. They take quite a beating, and you'll just end up wasting a life if you try getting too close.

3.) For the last generator you'll want to take the opposite route and head for the floor of the level, as far down as it will let you go. As you approach the generator just angle your ship up and come up from underneath it. You'll have four missiles left, you can either use three and save one for the upcoming turrets, or just unload them all and take out the generator with even more ease. As usual, if you don't succeed in destroying the generator on the first pass, descend back down to the level's floor and repeat the same process.
4.) Now it's time to take out the giant communication satellite. At its base are about six turrets waiting to be destroyed. They're on a square plane -- three on the top and three on the bottom -- so be sure to look on both the top and bottom. All the droid starfighters that were soaring throughout the level will convene here to protect the satellite. When all of them finally arrive they form a dangerous Saturn belt that you won't want to get caught in. As such is the case, take your shots from as far away as possible because if you get too close you'll receive heavy fire from all of those fighters. Once you obliterate all of those turrets the satellite will explode signaling the end of the mission.

You will have to focus on your enemy kills this time. You need exactly 30, and it is suggested that you physically count each enemy you destroy and keep track in your mind. Destroy about 9-10 around each satellite. What's the best way to rack up extra kills? Destroy the proximity mines that crowd around the satellites. They count for kills.
Glacial GraveThe communications satellite has been successfully taken down. This has temporarily disabled one of the Trade Federation's bases deep in the heart of icy mountains of Naboo. Attack the slumbering base, paralyze their firepower, and steal a gunboat for future covert measures.
1. There are three platforms with several laser and missile turrets sitting atop each of them. As soon as the level begins lay on the brakes and target the turrets on the platform to the right. After those, though, head for the sky's ceiling as you approach the next two platforms. As usual stay back and circle back around if you have to, get too close and you might lose your droid or your life. Once all of the turrets are smoldering ashes you'll want to take out as many of those mines ahead of you as you can. Keep your distance from them.
2. You'll soon approach a heavily guarded platform -- turrets on top and gunboats just beneath it. The sky's ceiling is the safest place. Use the tried and true technique of circling back and coming in from the same angle twice. If done correctly you won't even have to waste a missile on it. In the event you have to approach from the other side watch out for the lone missile turret sitting out on the bordering sea level landscape.
3. Set your altitude high and follow your crew over to the "left" edge of the cove. There will be three or four droid starfighters that come at you head on. Of course, being at ceiling level they'll fly right under you. Turn 180 degrees and chase them down from behind. Always stay close to your crew, though. It's easy to get sidetracked.
4. Next you'll be led to another heavily guarded platform. This time there are mines over the top of it. Stay high and take out any mines in your site. Otherwise target the turrets on top of the platform. Depending on what you take out and how fast eventually Captain Kael will say, "Move on!" Follow them instead of lingering around.

BONUS: There will be fork in the valley. Captain Kael and the rest will head off to the left. If you want your bonus go right instead. In a small inlet will be megatons of firepower guarding what appears to be a worthless dome-shaped building. Destroy the two turrets at the gate, turn around and get some height, then come back and do some more damage to the immediate area. Use some missiles on the missile turret sitting on top of the highest tower. Once you get rid of everything shoot the dome-shaped building until it explodes. Inside will be your advanced bomb upgrades (for the gunboat you "borrow" from The Federation).

There is nearly no way around it: you need cluster missiles to get a gold on this mission. As detailed in our basics section, you have to get silver medals on all levels to collect this bonus in the Darth Maul secret mission. Unless you really want to challenge yourself, it is highly suggested you wait until you have the cluster seeker missiles. Once you do, keep in mind you're going for 63 kills. There's a giant mine field at the very beginning of the level. This is a prime area to unload a one or two clusters. Later on wait until you reach the more heavily guarded bases to use the cluster missiles. Lastly, when you reach the final inlet of the level (where you trade in your N-1 for a tank) fire a cluster over the river blockade to nail five or so mines floating in the water.
The Andrevea RiverThe Trade Federation has set up labor camps on the banks of one of Naboo's waterways. It is up to you to liberate the camps and seek retribution on the Neimoidian slave drivers.
1. The first portion of the river is very quiet and more "booby trapped" than anything. As you progress down the river you'll find clusters of mines and missile turrets placed zigzagedly about. There's no specific way to proceed other than cautiously. Keep your distance, and when you face turrets try to position your self on the opposite side of the river. Don't be tempted to rush through the level, if you get too close to the mines they'll be attracted to your ship like magnets to metal. The damage will be substantial. At the very end of the river it will split into two, be sure to take the left side as there's less opposition.

2. As the river begins to open up a cut-scene will feature a few droid starfighters flying overhead. Follow them down the river avoiding any of the mines in your way. When the river finally opens up into the first camp there will be turrets, droid starfighters, and gunboats everywhere. Head over to the right where three of the main turrets are placed. A few calculated bomb placements will knock them out quickly. If the droid starfighters are giving you any trouble from above circle back to the entrance you came from and try to knock them down from there. Watch out for the mines they drop into the water, as well. Then head along the shoreline towards the next camp. Stay out of their sites and eliminate them from far-off.
3. Once you've set the camps free a gunboat will try to escape to warn the next stronghold. You'll have to take good aim to take it out, but it's not imperative to the mission. It will allow you to sneak into the turret-saturated camp unnoticed, but you have to take out the turrets anyhow which sets the alarms off regardless. Stick with the typical behavior of shooting those turrets from as far away as possible. There are a lot of them, so take it slowly, inching along so they just barely come into view.

Destroying 49 enemies for the gold is an issue, but to stay a live on the river you must destroy all the mines floating downstream. Combined with the destruction of the turrets you'll have destroyed plenty of enemies. The hardest part about this mission is staying alive and not taking more than 7:19 minutes doing so. You'll have to be cautious, but you cannot sit back and pick off every enemy from afar. Race towards your target, blast or bomb them, and get out of there. And remember, you only have to shoot the targets that your radar highlights.
SanctuaryAll of the civilians you escorted out from the camps on the Andrevea River still need your help. You must escort them to the rendezvous point hidden in the northern ruins. Any Trade Federation forces that cross your path are to be destroyed.
1. Put the pedal to the metal as they say and park yourself near the inlet's edge as about six AATs hover by. Use two or three of your bombs to knock them out. If you picked up advanced bombs in the Glacial Grave level you should be able to knock all four of them out with a few nicely placed shots. As you'll notice they all form a neat line at first and are coming out of a garage from the far corner. Get as close to it as you can and unload two bombs onto it destroying it. Then comb the shoreline and rid them of the AATs giving the innocent transport boats trouble. Now exchange your gunboat for an N-1 Starfighter in the nearby hangar. Shoot down any remaining aircraft and land vehicles until the boats you're escorting enter the hanger to hop into some Flash Speeders.

2. The group of flash speeders will enter a valley. As long as there are no lingering enemies in the immediate, fly on ahead of them. Here you will intercept a group of droid ships. Stay high, let them fly underneath you, and then come up behind them to dispose of them. Don't spend too much time on them, though. If the flash speeders you're supposed to be protecting get too far ahead of you, you're wasting time. Try to stay ahead of them.

3. There will be a sharp hairpin turn in the valley. On the other side of the turn there will be a wall of AATs (five, to be exact). By this time the flash speeders should be nearing, so take out the AATs as quickly as possible. Use all of your missiles if need be, the tanks take about two hits a piece that way.
4. Now comes your last stretch through the valley. Droid starfighters will be coming at you from every direction. There's really no format to it, other than the usual rules of dogfighting. Stay behind them, and never take them head on unless they're alone. They'll weave and take a lot of sharp turns so try to attack the ones giving the flash speeders the most flak. Or you'll spend 15 minutes chasing them around. Protect them until the end and your mission is successful.
BONUS: As you near the end of the valley there's a small branch that goes off to the right (see radar). The branch will open up into a wide plain with a volcano smack-dab in the middle. On the other side of it is a runway with the rapid fire lasers bonus at the end.

You've probably played through the level before, and you know you only escort four civilians to the rendezvous point. However, there are two civilians in their speeders trapped behind a clock tower (you can see this in the opening cut scene). After taking out the AAT hanger, and protecting the four boats you've been escorting from the AATs on the water's edge, destroy the clock tower. This will increase your accuracy anyway. Then carry on with the rest of the mission protecting everyone as usual, and be sure to remember to pick up the bonus by the volcano.
Search for Captain KaelCaptain Kael's ship went down over the mountains. You must locate his starfighter before The Federation has a chance to capture him. This would be detrimental to the mission.
1. Use the Heavy STAP instead of the Flash Speeder. Immediately hover over to the right and hug the mountains. This will keep you out of harms way from the horde of droids blanketing the landscape. Keep an eye on the radar (so you don't ride off the edge of a cliff) and curve left back towards a land bridge. On the bridge will be two AATs. As soon as you get on the bridge hit the brakes to give yourself time to aim. Three missiles apiece will do nicely.
2. You'll see Borvo's ship off to the left, ignore it and stay right behind the AAT that appears directly in your radar path. Use your blasters and take it out. Shortly after you will arrive at a heavily protected base. Three tanks will come in on the opposite side, and you must take them out before they destroy a nearby housing facility. They are so destructive that you can't let them anywhere near the facility. Destroy them beforehand at all costs. You should have several missiles left, so use one plus some lasers on a few of the tanks to destroy them more quickly.
HINT: If you took any fire from the surrounding turrets or the AATs go to the building in the center of the turrets that appears to be generating a shield. If you stop inside of it, it will recover any damage your shields have suffered. You can take advantage of this as many times as you like.

4. After disregarding warning to leave the base, the turrets begin firing at you. You're going to have to take them all out. Circle around the base and take them out from a distance. If you take any major hits enter the center shield generator to power your shields back up (see above hint). Occasionally a large transport will cruise down the hillside, be sure to take the time out of your turret shooting to destroy them as well.
5. As you head out of the base to recover Captain Kael a set of three Droid Starfighters, AATs, and a troop of droids begin destroying everything in the territory. First attend to the two AATs by sneaking up behind them as usual. Then look to the skies to find the slow-moving Droid Starfighters. It will take some maneuvering to do, but stay close to them to make aiming easier. Sometimes it may be easier to hit the brakes and take aim, however, because of all the hills. Destroy them before they get to Captain Kael.

This level is relatively easy to get gold on. By following the general strategy above you will definitely get a silver medal. The one area that may be lacking is the enemies destroyed, but chances are you'll only be missing two or three. There are a lot of droids in this level, so chasing down just a few of them should push you to gold. If you're having any trouble with time try using the Flash Speeder, which is the recommended vehicle anyhow.
Borvo the HuttBorvo the Hutt has betrayed you and is responsible for Captain Kael's death. He even plans to sell the Naboo into slavery. Rescuing the captive civilians is your chief objective, but retribution is certainly your second.
1. Immediately take out all of the laser turrets. Don't even bother with all the ships circling the area. As a rule of thumb, keep moving and if you get hit by any of the ships' fire accelerate out of their path. After you successfully take out all of your turrets, you can move onto those annoying aircraft.

2. There are a lot of ships to begin with, and you don't want to get caught in the path of more than one. To avoid such catastrophes you'll want to keep an eye on the radar and chase them down when they separate form the groups they are in. As always approach them from behind. If any of them begin to fire upon you hit the gas and level out on the ceiling. By doing this you can hover of them like a vulture and swoop in when they separate from each other.
3. As you exit out from that area there will be a gate of mines. Hitting the center one will obliterate nearly all of them. "Cole Cassa" will agree to lead you to Hutt's ship. You have to choices. Follow him or take matters into your own hands. One rule always applies, though -- lay low. Hover close to the river and avoid going over landmasses when you can. There are missile turrets that will just cause you trouble. No matter what you do, though, if you do have to take on a missile turret, keep alert. They incur heavy damage, so you'll want to take them out long before they spot you. Eventually Cole will lead you to the Hutt. If you think you can get to the Hutt on your own, however, keep left as you exit the first area. In the center of the radar will be a large black crater. This is where the Hutt is encamped. Circle around its edge until you come to an opening and take him out.

BONUS: You can pick yourself up a set of homing aircraft-to-aircraft torpedoes on the backside entrance of the Hutt's encampment. There are two willow trees on a square landmass, and underneath the one to the right is the bonus. This is a highly recommended upgrade.
4. By this time you should still have all of your missiles left, as there weren't many reasons to waste them otherwise. Unload all of them on the Hutt's ship. If you have any spare lives, go kamikaze style right into Hutt's ship. Your missiles will be refilled with your new life and you can unload another round. To avoid all his minions and turret gunfire develop a pattern of circling back to the beginning homing back in on him.

They give you plenty of time to work for the gold, but the catch is that you have to track down a considerable of enemies in that time. The trick to keeping you kill count up is to destroy the laser turrets floating in the water. There are a bunch of them lying around everywhere. It's the same with missile turrets, although it's not suggested you track them down. Again, though, track down and destroy every laser turret you see.
Liberation of Camp 4The Trade Federation has imprisoned some of Naboo's most important leaders in the infamous Camp 4. The main intent of your mission is to free the captive Naboo leaders from the camps and take out any of the Trade Federation's forces that stand in your way.
1. Note: If you've memorized the level, you don't even have to complete this part of the mission. Just as the farms are attacked you'll be able to continue onward in the valley.
Your team will try to lead you into a valley full of destructive missile turrets and lots of opposition. Don't even bother wasting your shield on it. You'll pass over a farm at the mouth of the valley. Hover over it for a while until about five Droid Starfighters come racing out to destroy the land. If you have homing torpedoes taking them down will be easy, but make sure you save four or five missiles for an upcoming conflict. There will be one more farm after this that undergoes a similar onslaught, repeat the same process. When chasing down the ships with your laser blasters be sure to follow them from behind, and head for the sky's ceiling if you undergo heavy fire from any that come up behind you.

2. Continue onward with your crew and you'll come to a valley filled with gunboats and turrets galore. Ignore them and fly high to avoid any fire. The valley will open up into a field where there is a Starfighter hanger guarded by turrets on its shoulders. Take out the turrets right away from as far away as possible. Then about four Droid Starfighters will come in off the water's edge. Now is a great time to use those homing missiles. If you don't have them, you'll be doing a lot of chasing.
3. After you defeat the Droid Starfighters the scene cuts as you hop into a Heavy STAP. There is a heavily guarded gate ahead, but you can follow in two transports, which are supposed to be carrying prisoners. The gate will open, and the turrets and droid guards will not fire at you. That is, until they realize you're carrying no prisoners. At that point you're going to have a full-blow war on your hands. Immediately go to the left up a ramp leading to the top of the gullet. Keep all the way to the left against the rocky wall or you'll fall off and kill yourself, and meet heavy fire from AATs. As you approach the top there will be a lot of lasers coming your way. Try to bob and weave around them. Destroying the shield generator is your main objective. It is a small gray box secluded to the right of everything. Behind the shield it opens is one of the prison compounds. Blow off the door to free the prisoners and proceed up the mountain.
4. Now things begin to get really hot. There will be a lot of fire from many directions. There are just so many laser turrets it's insane. Bob and weave from left and right as most as you can. Follow the radar screen which will lead you to an area with a few highly combustible boxes. Destroying them will create a hole in the wall that houses the next shield generator, which is just off to the left after you enter. Subsequent to obliterating that shield generator there will be yet another shield generator at the top of the mountain. Keep in mind you do NOT really need to save those prisoners to accomplish the mission. Swing back around to through the gates you just opened and destroy the generator at the mountaintop. Finally it's time to get rid of that not-so-heavy-STAP. By now it will be properly beaten. There's a Gian Speeder in a hanger back where you entered the area. Trade in your beater this sturdy beast.

BONUS: There is an Advanced Blasters bonus hidden at the top of that hill. Just continue going up the hill a bit more (it can be tricky, so get some speed too "hop" over a bump) and you'll see a tiny ravine that cuts into the mountains. At the end of it will be your bonus.

This can be one of the most intimidating levels in the first place, so getting a gold can seem all the more overwhelming. But consider that this is one of the few levels that lets you get away with losing a life and still walk away with a gold. That said you're going to have to track down just about every enemy you can get your hands on -- 67 to be exact. To do that involve yourself tiny little battle you come across, because you have seven minutes to do this. Big hits are flocks of Droid Starfighters and the droids that just stand around yapping (run those guys over!). Keep in mind you have to free 17 prisoners too. This requires blowing open the doors of every camp. Don't rush through it, remember you have seven minutes to complete your goals.
The Queen's GambitCaptain Panaka and the Queen have returned to the city of Naboo. You must meet with the Captain where he'll lead you to the queen. At that point you'll learn of the Queen's entire plan for freeing the planet of Naboo.
1. There are droids circling a farm house. By now you should have the know-how to get rid of them -- point and shoot. There will be a few Droid Starfighters that fly by overhead. You can take them out if you want, but it's not necessary.
2. A huge convoy is heading for the city. You must stop them before they get too close. As you begin this part of mission your radar will try to direct you into the left part of a split valley. Don't waste your time with it because it will be blocked. Head off to the right immediately. This path is much better protected. Your first and relatively easy goal is to either avoid or take out two turrets guarding a bridge. Once over the bridge there will be plenty of enemy fire, but focus on the two AATs firing on the nearby buildings. After that you can trade your Gian Speeder in for the giant Naboo Bomber.
3. Looking down from the skies, you can now see the huge convoy heading for the city. The hardest part between now and the end of the mission is staying alive. You'll be flying the Naboo Bomber so maneuvering out of the way of gunfire isn't the perfect option. There will be lots of AATs, laser turrets, and Droid Starfighters. The best way to avoid them is to head down the valley, moving past the convoy and most of the laser turrets until you reach a bridge. Your radar will want you to stay directly above the convoy, but take our word for it, you don't want to do that. On the way to the bridge there are giant columns of unstable rock zigzagged about the valley. Use your ships heavy energy bombs to take them out; thus, knocking them in the way of the oncoming convoy. Make sure you save an energy bomb for later.

4. Eventually you'll arrive at the bridge safely, but there's bound to be a few Droid Starfighters giving you trouble. If you can't avoid them you'll have no choice but to take them head on with the Naboo Bomber. It's slow, so unless you're a sharp shooter you might look for other ways to avoid their fire. Finally the convoy will be upon the bridge and your allies will place explosives on top of it. Drop an energy bomb onto the bridge so the explosives detonate. Congratulations, you just stopped a monstrous and fierce convoy dead in its tracks.

Main objective: avoid getting killed at all. Attack the convoy with energy bombs starting with the front. You'll have to focus on staying alive and taking out any turrets and mines that get in your way. Try to fly ahead of the convoy, all the way to the beginning of the rock pillars, and then work your way back. If worse comes to worse, simply slow down the convoy with the three large rock pillars. Then bomb the bridge.
Panaka's DiversionQueen Amidala plans on entering Theed to capture Nute Gunray. You have to distract The Federation forces supplanted within Theed. Once Captain Panaka and the Queen are in the city limits, you'll travel to the local hanger to organize for your final attack.
1. The city's streets should seem familiar to you, your first mission was in Theed. This time, though, there are far more droids and AATs to deal with. Your first set of AATs is attacking one of your allies. Don't go rushing in to save him, though. The first one will attack you head on, after you take him down inch your way towards the room. Stay back behind the AATs (as usual) and use your heavy lasers to blast them out. Check your radar and don't get yourself put in the middle of anything.
2. Yet another AAT will take you head on from across the canal. Don't waste your time trying to avoid him. Unload your heavy lasers as quickly as you can to get rid of his presence and move on.
3. After pushing your way through droid opposition you'll run into a few gates. You have the choice of blasting your way through them, or you can take the easier route and destroy the plant pots to the left of them. After that you will head down a ramp that leads into a small alleyway. You should be able to see lasers coming from just off to the left. Try to creep your way in and you'll see an AAT and a droid. They probably won't even see you in the entranceway so they're very easy to take out.

4. You will approach a bridge that crosses over the canal. Do NOT go screaming over the bridge because there's several droids and about three AATs. Instead do the same as you've been doing, and hit your brakes at the doorway. Keep an eye on your radar and you should be able to edge your way over the bridge without anyone getting a shot off.
5. Now from an archway you'll see two AATs from behind. Stay inside of the archway and shoot them from there. In front of them will be a few Droidekas. Take them out as well and then proceed to the left whereupon you'll be placed conveniently behind two moving AATs. They are easily destroyed from that vantage point.
6. As you enter the courthouse area you find it is completely filled with AATs, droids, and Droidekas. There's no easy strategy other than relying on what you've learned to this point. Slowly creep into the action and take on one enemy at a time. Most of the more threatening enemies are in the corners.
7. Now that that is over it's time to head to the plaza with your assembled crew. Once you arrive you find a few dozen droids standing guard, although they might as well be mannequins because they pose little threat. You can pretty much take all of them out from the doorway. The only reasonable threat is a Droideka camped out at the top of a stairway to the left. A few commandos will blow a hole in the reinforced steel door and you'll be on your way to the hangar.
8. Through the giant steel door is an alleyway leading to the hanger, but before you reach the hanger there is some final opposition to deal with. Four AATs and a number of droids are guarding the hanger. From the archway you can take out all four tanks without any trouble by using your heavy lasers. Then the mission will close as you fly out of the hangar successfully.

Shoot all the droids you can on the way. There's a ton, so as long as you try for a few, hitting that 68 killed figure won't be so tough. The hardest part is staying alive. Just remember to stay BACK from the tanks and Droidekas. Charge up your heavy laser on the Gian Speeder as you round the corners to face tanks and larger opponents.
Battle for Naboo
The final battle for Naboo is at hand. The enormous Droid Control Ship orbiting around Naboo is to be obliterated. The classic scene from Episode I is now under your control. The Control Ship has several weak areas you must target. First disable the tractor beams and then finally the shield generator.
1. On your way to the Control Ship you run into flock after flock of Droid Starfighters. Getting caught in their path could result in instant death. To avoid them hug the level's ceiling. Do not even try to attack them initially when they are in groups. Eventually they will scatter where you can single out a ship now and then. This is not your primary objective, however. You merely want to stay alive, so don't waste any missiles or shield power fighting them off. Eventually you will reach the Droid Control Ship.
2. Now it's time to incapacitate the Control Ship. First get rid of that nasty tractor beam. There are four "knobs" that protrude outward. The one to the top-right has already been destroyed, so focus your attention on the top-left first, bottom-left, and finally bottom-right. They take roughly three missiles a piece.

3. Now you'll be able attack the generator. It is located on top of the bridge in between the large sphere and the outer ring. To make matters easier fly underneath the sphere and come out behind the ship. You can then do a 180 and attack the shield generator from behind. Continue to fly from high above and behind it or you'll face the deadly cannons placed all over the Droid Control Ship. It will take a lot of fire, but you'll know you're doing just fine if your lasers splash into a green energy burst as they hit the generator. Eventually it will begin to flicker with bolts of electricity before it explodes. If you played your cards right, you should had to bother with any of those gun turrets. Time to watch the ending credits!

You almost can't help but getting a gold on this mission. The cluster missiles certainly help, though, as you can chase down all the Droid Starfighters in the beginning. Other than nailing the number of enemies destroyed, though, there are no real tricks. Fly up from behind the Droid Control Ship as recommended, and you'll do just perfectly.

Trade Federation Secrets
Garner at least a bronze medal for every
level up to and including the Battle for Naboo to unlock this level. A Trade
Federation research facility has been overtaken by a faction of Naboo commandos,
and as a result a droid army has been dispatched to completely demolish the
facility before the secrets are exposed. Protect the base as long as you can
until the commandos can be airlifted to safety.

After beginning head on the straight path according to your radar until you pass over the top of a set of droids, and a line of AATs. Then pull a 180 and start destroying them from behind. Next, focus on the Droid Starfighters closest to the base. When the airlift finally is complete, protect the ship at close range. Don't get caught up chasing single Droid Starfighters around.

Getting a gold medal couldn't be any easier with the cluster missiles, which you pick up in this level. The cluster upgrade bonus is located underneath the purple building. As soon as you the mission begins pull a 180 degree turn and fly underneath the archway beneath the purple-shaded building. There will be a few crossbeams hugging close to the ceiling, there wedge between them is the bonus. Then come back and use this weapon on Maul an you'll score a gold with zero effort.

Getting a gold isn't too hard if you can keep from getting killed. Just remember that Maul's Infiltrator ship has terrible accuracy. Take shots in waves instead of holding down the shoot button constantly. Aside from that, the gold is as good as yours.
