Chapter 5:
Mission 3: Derelict (USS. Dallas)
9 Golden Starships to be found in this mission.
After receiving a Distress Call from the USS Dallas, the USS Enterprise comes at the USS Dallas witch is no drifting in space. The Hazard Team is beamt on board the USS Dallas to investigate what's going on there.
Level 1: Shuttle Bay:
3 Golden Starships
Munro, Chell, Franklin and Jurot are in one of the storage rooms of the Shuttle Bay. There's no gravity here so you can make high and long jumps. There are lots of crates here. The big door that leads to the Shuttle Bay won't go open. By the way, if you have open up Jurot's locker in Chapter 4 and stole the I-Mod out of it then you'll have the I-Mod in your weapons inventory. If you haven't open up Jurot's locker then you do not have the I-Mod and you'll not get it during the rest of this game.
Golden Starship 5: Above you is a Catwalk going through this hangar. You can reach this catwalk by climbing up the stairs. Do so and when your on the catwalk get your Tricorder out and set it to "Structural Integrity View Mode". Scan the left corner of the opposite wall. Behind the crate a portion of that wall will light red. Shoot this bit of wall with one of your rifles to make a hole in it. Go there and crouch into that hole and get the Golden Starship and also 100 Shielding. Then get back out onto the catwalk and climb back down the stairs.
At the back of this hanger stands a big open crate in the right corner. Jump onto it and then over this crate and you're in the right back corner of the hanger. Scan the Wall Panel here with your Tricorder and solve the Tricorder Connection Puzzle. Again this is a very easy puzzle. Just connect the blue circles and do not make contact with the Red crosses. The yellow line is already fine. When you've solved this puzzle then the shuttlebay door will go open. Jump back over the big crate and go past the stairs to the shuttlebay doors. They will go open now. Walk into the Shuttlebay.
Golden Starship 6: A Dallas Shuttle is standing in the shuttlebay. Go to the back of the shuttle, face the shuttle and press your "Use"-key. The shuttle door will go open. Climb into the shuttle and grab the Golden Starship.
Go out the shuttle and walk to the doors in front of you. Your team members will tell you that this door won't go open but that there's a Jeffries Tube nearby that you must access to get on the other side of this door.
On the right side of the shuttle is an other big door. Go through it and you enter the right storage room. Walk straight to the opposite wall. You'll find a "green" Jeffries Tube Hatch in this wall. Open it by "using" the left handle. Do this a couple of times to open up the hatch completely and then crouch into the Jeffries Tube. Well, you can open up the "green" Jeffries Tubes Hatches, but you cannot open up the "red" ones. This also applies to doors. Follow the tube to the next "green" hatch straight ahead. This time use the button on the right side of this hatch to open it and then crawl out. CAREFULLY. You are now in a Turbo Lift shaft, so do not fall down. Walk to the very left corner. There's a ladder going up through this shaft. Climb up this ladder to the next floor. Jump from the ladder to the floor. On this floor both Jeffries Tube hatches are "red", so you can't go into the Jeffries Tube here. Turn around and go the edge of the floor. Crouch and look to the floor below you on the opposite side of the lift shaft. On that floor you'll see a "green" Jeffries Tube Hatch. So you must jump now and land on that floor. Because of the low gravity you can do this. Just jump up and push your Forwards key to "float" to the opposite side and then you go down. When you are on the same level as the floor below you, push your forwards key again to land on that floor.
Open up the "green" Jeffries Tube Hatch by pushing the left handle and crouch into the Jeffries Tube. Go forwards and then take the right turn and open up the next "green" hatch and go out. Now you're in a round Service Shaft. A ladder is going down here. Go down this ladder to the next floor and then turn around. The two Jeffries Tube Hatches here are both "red" so they are no use to you. In the wall, between both hatches, you'll see a big gray panel with buttons and lights. In the lower part of this panel you see two little gray doors. Go stand in front of it. On the right site from this two little gray doors you'll see a little door panel. It's the "Gravity Controls Access Panel". Select it and then press your "Use"-key. The two little doors go open and the "Gravity Subsystems Panel" comes out. Scan this panel with your Tricorder and solve the "Connection Puzzle" to restore the gravity. Again this is a very easy puzzle in witch you only have to restore the blue line.
When you're done, climb back up the ladder. Open up the "green" hatch again and crouch back into the Jeffries Tube and follow forwards, left, open up the "green" hatch and…..you'll see the Turbo Lift falling down through the lift shaft. Crouch out the Jeffries tube and jump onto the roof of the lift cabin and then climb up the ladder to the floor above you. You're now back on the top floor on the opposite side of the lift shaft. Open the "green" Jeffries Tube hatch and crouch into the Jeffries Tube. Follow it straight and you'll come onto the catwalk that runs through the right storage hangar of the shuttle bay. Go to the other side and open up the "green" Jeffries Tube Hatch. Follow this Jeffries Tube forwards, left, right and go through the next "green" hatch. Again you are in a Service Shaft and again a ladder is going down. WAIT.
Golden Starship 7: The ladder is not going all the way to the floor beneath you. The ladder stops a bit above the floor. Climb down this ladder but DO NOT JUMP OF IT. When you have reached the end of this ladder CLIMB BACK UP AGAIN into the Service Shaft. Open up the "green" Jeffries Tube again and……Now you'll see a Golden Starship floating in the Jeffries Tube you crawl out of just before, Go get it and then get out again and now climb back down the ladder and fall down to the floor.
Now you are behind that shuttle bay door that won't open from the other site. The other door, that is the "Deck 3" door, is the EXIT out of this level. Left of the shuttle bay door you'll see a wall panel. Go stand in front of it and push your "Use"-key. A kind of keyboard is sliding out of this panel. Scan it with your Tricorder and again solve this little "Connection Puzzle" and when you have solved it the shuttle bay door goes open and your team mates will join you. Go to the "Deck 3" door. "Exiting Area" screen appears. Push the door panel. LOADING.
Level 2: Engineering:

Go through the now open Deck 3 door. From this moment on you'll need to have a weapon drawn, because you'll need to deal with the monsters who are responsible for the troubles on the Dallas. You can't follow the corridor to the right because there's a fire. So follow the corridor to the left. The corridor takes a right turn and then you'll come to an end deur. There's a fire burning before this door so you can't go through it. In the left wall you'll see a "Lounge" door. Go through it and you're in the lounge room. Go right and to the next door. Wait. Jurot and Chell will tell you that their Tricorders detect life forms. Just wait a moment and then you'll see that someone or something will try to break through the door. Shoot the door with your rifle and then step into the corridor again. Follow it to the end. You'll come at a glass door. This is one of the doors to Engineering. Your team mates will tell you this but they also tell you that this door is locked. Franklin points you to a nearby Jeffries Tube.
Golden Starship 8: Turn around, walk back a little and then open up the yellow Service Door on your left. Step through this door and you're in a Service Shaft. The ladder is going up but it is also going down. The hatch above you is closed but don't be shy…..Climb up to that hatch, look up at it and then push your "Use"-key to open up this hatch and you'll see the Golden Starship floating above your head. Just climp up into the dark "nothingness" and you'll grab it.
No climb down the ladder, all the way down to the bottom of the shaft. Open the "green" Jeffries Tube Hatch here and crouch into the Tube. Follow it, right, left, right, open the "green" Hatch and crawl out. Again you're in a Service Shaft. Go op the ladder. You'll open up the hatch above your head automatically. Climb out and WAIT.
Golden Starship 9: You are standing in a short corridor. Turn around. You'll see the open hatch of the Service Shaft you just climb out of. Behind it you see a door. Shoot this door down and then walk passed the open hatch and go into this dark doorway and grab the Golden Starship. Go back out into the short corridor.
Make sure you have a weapon in your hands now. Go into the main corridor and follow it to the left. After the turn you'll see an other "Lounge" door in the right wall. Go in there and then out again through the next door. Follow the corridor again and after the next turn the lights will go out. I really hope that you have the Compression Rifle at hand now. You come at a crossing. Straight ahead you'll see the second Glass Engineering Door. You are now on the other side of Engineering. Walk towards the glass door. An Alien breaks through the ceiling in front of you and attacks you. A few of these aliens are also behind you now. Quickly Kill them all. You do not know it at this moment, but those aliens are Exomorfs. When your done, go through the glass door to enter Engineering. Your Team mates are still in the corridor behind the other glass door and they are under attack of a swarm of Exomorfs. They want you to open up the glass door.
Golden Starship 10: To your right is the Main Console Table. Behind it you'll see the Warpcore. Let your team mates fight of the Exomorfs in the corridor for now and go into the Warpcore room. On either sides of the Warpcore you'll find a ladder that's going up to the upper level of the Warpcore room. Climb up and you'll find the Golden Starship on the upper level behind the Warpcore. Grab it.
Quickly now, climb back down and go to the Main Console Table. Go stand in front of the middle section of this table on the right site. Pull out your Tricorder and scan this "Main Engineering Console" with your Tricorder and solve the "Connection Puzzle". This time you need to connect both the Blue Circles as the Yellow ones with each other. When you have solved this puzzle, your team mates will join you here in Engineering and you get new Objectives.
You're still in Engineering. All throughout the Dallas, Blue Forcefields will blocking your way now, so you'll have to find an alternative way to reach the Bridge. Leave Engineering through the left glass door. That's the door you came into Engineering. Go forward, but a Blue Forcefield is blocking the corridor, so go into the left corridor and follow it to the end. A Turbo Lift door, but it won't go open. Turn around and go through the Service Door into the Service shaft. Climb down the ladder to the floor beneath you. The two Jeffries Hatches here are "red". Select the "Turbo Access Panel" on the Wall Panel and press your "Use"-key. The "Turbo Lift Power Relay" slides out the two little gray doors. Scan it with your Tricorder and solve the "Connection puzzle" to get power to that Turbo Lift. Once solved, climb back up the ladder and go out this Service Shaft and back to the Turbo Lift. Go in the Lift. "Exiting Area", push the lift button and there will be a LOADING.
Secret Map 1
All Right: I suggest you make a Save Game now and then "Leave the Game". Go check out the "Secrets Screen". You now have found 10 Golden Starships and have unlocked Secret Map 1. You can play this secret map now if you wish, or leave all the secret maps you unlock until you have finished the game. All those 6 secret Maps are little holo-maps and they aren't very exiting. If you do want to play this first secret map now, then let me tell you now that in order to cheat you'll need to make a Save Game right after the Loading of the secret map. Then close the game and start it up again with the shortcut and load your save in. The cheats in the secret maps are working just as in the real game.
Level 3.1: Bridge:
1 Golden Starship
All Right, back to real life. Step out the lift and walk forwards through the corridor towards the crossing and turn left. There's a fire going on and…..Is that Franklin who's been pulled up through the hole in the ceiling. Poor Franklin. You can't do anything to save him, but you can take a bloody revenge on all those Exomorfs that appear now. Then go through the door in the main corridor. Look out, more Exomorfs. Follow the corridor again and it takes a turn and then you'll see another "Lounge" door. Go through it and fill up your Energy at the Terminal on the right wall. Go back into the corridor and go on. After the next corner an Exomorf will crawl out a hole in the wall. Kill it and go on. You'll come at a crossing again. Straight ahead the main corridor is blocked by two Blue Forcefields. You'll see the dead body of a Dallas crew member disappearing through a hole in the wall. Crouch through this hole, kill the Exomorfs in the room you come into and then go to the left and crouch into and through the second hole and you'll be between those two Blue Forcefields in the main corridor. You'll find the "Force Field Control Panel" on the wall. Select it and press your "Use"-key to disable the blue Forcefields. Go back to the crossing and go left into the side corridor and then through the door. Forwards and then left and follow this second round main corridor. After you go round the corner you'll need to kill a few Exomorfs and then you come up at an "Lounge" Door on your left and an Yellow "Service Shaft Door" on your right.
Golden Starship 11: Open this yellow Service Shaft door and step into the service shaft and climb down the ladder to the next floor. Do not go all the way down. You're now halfway down this Service Shaft. Here you'll have two "red" Jeffries Tube Hatches and a "red" Service Shaft door. I know it's sound silly, but "Use" both "red" Jeffries Tube hatches here and you'll here a noise. Now go and "Use" the "red" Service Shaft door. It will go open. Walk into the black "nothingness" and grab the Golden Starship. Climb back up and leave this shaft.
Back in the round corridor follow it now to the end and you come at the "Bridge" door. Chell tells you it's locked and that you have to find another way to enter the Bridge. Go back to the yellow Service Shaft door and go back into the Service Shaft and this time climb all the way down. When you at the bottom floor, open up the "green" Jeffries Tube Hatch and crouch in and crawl to the "green" hatch that you see on the other side (do not take the right turn). Open this hatch and you're in the next Service Shaft. Climb up the ladder and you'll automatically open up the hatch with your head. Climb out and you're in one of the Bridge "Ready Rooms". The only door here is damaged, so shoot it and then go on to the Bridge of the Dallas. Walk to the right and then turn right to open up the "green" door and Chell and Jurot will join you on the Bridge.
Golden Starship 12: Your next objective is to go to the transporter room to save the crew of the Dallas who's life signs are stored in the transporter buffer. But WAIT. There's still one Golden Starship to be found here on the Bridge. The bridge has another Ready Room. It's the closed "green" door, to the left of the "red" door. Shoot this "green" door and go in there and grab the Golden Starship and then go onto the Bridge again. Chell stays on the Bridge while you and Jurot are going to the Transporter room of the Dallas.
Level 3.2: Transporter Room

Leave the Bridge through the "green" door that's on the right of the "red" door and then follow the corridor back to the side corridor. Go in this side corridor and then through the door and you're back in the first round main corridor. Go right. This is where you have disabled the blue Forcefields. Follow the corridor now to the end and go through the "green" door. There's a fire in front of you, so turn left and go to the next "green" door. This is the Transporter Room door. Open it and step into the transporter room. To the right is the Transporter Console and to the left are the transporter pads. On the wall you can find the Health and the Energy Terminals. Wait, don't do anything just yet here. There's one Golden Starship to be found here.
Golden Starship 13: This is perhaps the most frustrating Golden Starship off all. To get it you must do the following. Run around through the transporter room and do this 4 times. You'll need to make good rounds through the room against the walls and each time you must get past behind the Console table and over the transporter pads. After every round you'll here a sound. After you have made 4 rounds through the room, go stand on one of the two back Transporter pads. It could be the right one or it could be the left one, and turn around to look through the room. The Golden Starship will come floating from behind the Transporter Console table and will rest at the right door. Go get it. I know…..this is difficult and you probably need to repeat this several times to get this Golden Starship out of its hiding place. But, he….I made it, so there's no reason that you can't.
Go behind the Transporter Console table and look at it. Select it. You'll see the words "Transporterbuffers occupied" and "Energize". So, press your "Use"-key and…..
Level 3.3: Save Chell
QUICK SAVE. Chell's Life Bar comes up. You need to reach him in time to save him or you'll fail the mission. Leave the bridge through the left door. It's the same door through witch you came in. Walk forwards and then turn right. The "green" door goes open and a few Exomorfs attack you. Quickly kill them and then go through this door and follow the corridor back, kill Exomorfs while you go. They come breaking through the walls and through the ceiling and then, after the corner, there's an explosion and a fire in front of you. You're back at the place where you shut down those blue Forcefields earlier. The explosion has now blocked your way ahead, so turn to the left wall and crouch into and through the hole in this wall into the room. Kill Exomorfs and go out through the door and you're back in the second main corridor. Well, follow it to the left and to the end, killing the Exomorfs while you go and at the end you'll reach the Bridge door and when you have made all this in time then you have saved Chell.
