THE HAMMER HALL

Room 2

When nearing the room select your Spear Gun and kill two giant spiders.


First take care of two giant spiders

 

Have a look around in the room and notice two heavy weights going up and down and a number of big gears turning.

Run around near the walls and see if you can find any goodies in here.
OK, left you find a rounded jar and a sea horse jar. The rounded jar contains your Treasure #24.

Have a close look at the weights. They each have a narrow ledge in front. Each one reaches the floor and then goes up again. So stand before one, and when it is down jump to the narrow ledge.

When it goes up jump to a higher narrow ledge on top.


Vault up to the top

 

When the weight is at its peak ready to go down, jump backwards to one of the bars rotating with the central mechanism.
Shimmy left or right until you are exactly under a horizontal chain moving towards a ledge. Stand up on the bar.

Jump to the chain when the bar is at its peak. Lara will hang from the chain and move along with it until she is hanging over the ledge. Notice a Health Potion in the left corner. Lara will automatically drop to the ledge. Ping: an Autosave.

Have a look at how you came here up to the ledge. First pick up the Health Potion.

There’s nothing else here so go through the passage to the inner rectangle (now you are one floor higher).
There are a number of grooved cylinders rotating in the floor and you can notice a bar above. If you get stuck between these cylinders you’ll be ground meat.
Run/jump to the first bar from a small distance of the first cylinder.

Swing/jump to the next two bars.

Look a bit upwards and notice a fourth bar between two metal fixtures. Swing/jump to the fourth bar. You may end up standing on it.

Now wait until the giant hammer approaches from the opposite side and notice a narrow ledge on it. Let it swing again and jump forward to the narrow ledge when the hammer is nearest.

Keep hanging from the narrow ledge as you swing together with the hammer and shoot the numerous bats from this position.

Shimmy to the right side around the corner and keep shooting at the bats you could not reach from the back. Meantime notice there are narrow ledges on the opposite wall. That must ring a bell! It will take a long time before you will get all of the bats down, but better take your time. It’s a nice swing anyway.

Now shimmy further right until the end and wait until the hammer is touching the opposite wall with the narrow ledges you just saw. Prepare a sideward jump to the right. When hanging from the highest of three narrow ledges shimmy to the right.

Drop to the lowest ledge and vault up to the middle ledge (you can’t drop to the middle ledge without passing the lowest).

Shimmy all the way right along this wide narrow ledge and prepare a right sideward jump to the perpendicular ledge on your right.

Prepare for a jump to your right

 

You’re hanging from that ledge now, so pull up.

Turn left, hang from the ledge and let go to the floor.

Turn around, proceed to the rolling carved cylinders and hear the ping of an Autosave.
