Follow the tunnel until you reach 3 steps on your right. Run up
the steps and get a CHECKPOINT.
There is a pit in front of you. Stand at the right side of the
edge and notice a horizontal pole and some pointed pillars. Jump down to the
muddy floor and see if there is anything of interest to collect. Nothing down
there... so jump up to the platform in the corner and then to the narrow ledge
on your right and vault up to the edge you were just standing on.
Jump to the first pillar and perch.

Jump to the first pillar from this position
Turn your face to the pole while perching and jump to it. Line up
with pillar #2 and swing/jump to perch on it. Next jump to the 3rd
pillar and perching there jump to the ledge in the right corner. Turn left and
jump to the opposite ledge. Run to the CHECKPOINT entering a run down sort of
Walk to the middle of the decorated floor and notice openings
left and right of this bridge. Proceed to the opening in front of you with the
ascending ramp. But wait... there is a round opening on top of the ramp.

The Temple
and the opening above the ramp
Step up on the ramp and see a spherical boulder roll down from
the opening.

This boulder intends to smash you
As soon as you see the boulder emerging, jump backwards to either
side of the opening. The boulder will break the middle part of the bridge and
smash into pieces as it falls down.

Watch how the boulder breaks the floor
Walk to the edge and jump to the other part of the broken floor. Further on your right you’ll notice a narrow ledge leading down. Hang down from the highest one and drop to one below. Shimmy left and drop to a lower narrow L-shaped ledge in the corner.

On your way down to the L-shaped ledge
Shimmy left and drop down. Drop to the floor of the pit from this
ledge. Run around and pick up some 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo lying near a pillar.

More Ammo for later on
Nothing else to find here but a crate that can be moved. Now look
at the central column and notice a pillar is supporting the left part of the
colored floor. On the right an identical pillar is supporting a wooden ledge.

The central column and the two side pillars
Push the pillar with the ledge past the crate until it is
standing in the middle of the painted floor and an entrance above a ledge. Then
move the crate under the L-shaped narrow ledge you just came down from. Jump
from the crate to the ledge and go up the same way to the painted floor. The
pillar with the wooden platform should be standing exactly in the middle between
the floor and the opening with the ledge. If not, go down again and

Jump to the platform and from there to the ledge. Enter the
opening and follow the hallway to your right to a CHECKPOINT.
Further on there is some Shotgun Ammo, a triple set of darts
going from left to right and a horizontal pole behind them. When three have been
shot immediately pass the trap and take a running jump over the pit to the pole.
Swing/jump to the opposite narrow ledge and side jump to the left
one. Left of this ledge is another dart trap where you will have to time well.
Wait until the middle dart has shot 3 times in a row and then side jump.

The 2nd dart trap
From the next ledge you can drop down to a long narrow ledge
underneath and shimmy all the way to the left avoiding the 3rd trap.
Jump up to the higher ledge and hang from the middle. Do not make a left lateral
jump to the mossy ledge because it is slippery and you will drop down dead to
the floor. Press backward to notice a wide ladder on the opposite wall.

Jump backward and grab the ladder. Side jump to the right narrow
ledge when there is a small pause in the 4th dart trap. Shimmy right
and side jump to the narrow ledge in the corner.
Press backward to see a pointed pillar to perch on. Jump backward
to the pole.

Perch on this pillar
From the pillar jump to the opposite ledge and find a Small
Medipack. Proceed through the hallway, and after turning left find another Small
Medipack.

Then pass a CHECKPOINT.
Now meet your 2nd set of dart traps. #1 is easy: just
wait until 3 are about ready to shoot. #2 seems broken and #3 has a pattern. Two
emerge from the left (the upper and the lower) simultaneously with the middle
dart on the other side. Pass when they emerge and run up the stairs. Turn right
and meet your 3rd set of dart traps.
#1 is broken. With #2 wait until 3 have been shot and pass
through. #3 and 4 are broken. Pass #5 when three darts are shot and #6 is broken
too.
Now you will see
a room with a dirt floor and a grapple ring.
Grapple jump (but not from too close to the edge) to the stairs. Turn left and
jump to the pillar. Climb all the way up. Focus the camera in front of the
horizontal pole and turn Lara’s back to it. Now press B4 and jump to the pole.
Shimmy to the right and swing/jump to the lowest of two narrow
ledges.

ledge
Vault up one more ledge and pull up. Move left to a wooden
platform and turn left. You’ll get some 50 Caliber Pistol Ammo on the way.

Do not forget to collect this precious

At the end of the platform jump to a narrow ledge on the opposite wall, above a golden pointed lever.

From here jump to the opposite narrow ledge
Drop to the lever which will trigger the third grated door of a
certain entrance. This is a CHECKPOINT.

The 3rd door will slide upward
Drop down from the lever and return all the way through the
hallway with the dart traps. You meet the first row (formerly the last row) but
now they’re all working. Passing them harmlessly is much more difficult. When
the 3 darts from the first trap are shot pass traps #1 and 2 and stop at a safe
spot.
Trap #3 has a small rest pause. Quickly pass #3, 4 and 5 and find
another safe spot. Trap #6 has a longer rest pause so you can easily pass here.
Turn left and find the 2nd row of dart traps, but this
time there are razor sharp pendulums in between the dart traps. Go down the
stairs and to the right side near the wall. Stand at the lowest step. You have
to pass trap #1 when the upper and lower darts are appearing from the shot holes
on your right, but also keep an eye on the pendulum that should be on the left
side.
Dart trap #2 is broken so can take a break here. If you get hit
you will have to start all over from the first row of darts.

Dart trap #3 has a relatively long rest pause. Pass there when
the 2nd pendulum is on the left. CHECKPOINT. Run to the corner and a
Raptor will emerge in front of you. Select the Shotgun (or the pistols – just
keep constantly shooting while walking backward) and get the predator down.
Continue through the hallway to your right, then turn left to
meet a dart trap. Of course you’ve been here before. You’ll have to study
the pattern of the shooter and remember its pause. Then jump to perch on the
pointed pillar, and then further on to the higher narrow ledge on the opposite
wall.

Jump to the pillar when the shooters take a break
Make a lateral jump to the left narrow ledge and meet your next
row of dart traps (Grrr...). Shimmy to the left side and jump to the ladder on
your left when the darts ease down.

Carefully prepare your side jump to the ladder
Remember there was a narrow ledge on the opposite side? Press
upward (keep pressing) + B4 to jump to the ledge. Drop to the lower ledge (a
long one) and shimmy to the far right avoiding the 2nd dart trap.
Vault up to a higher narrow ledge. Now
you have to make a lateral jump past trap #3 to the narrow ledge on your right.
Study the pattern meticulously. You’ll have to jump when the middle arrow
emerges. But there are three sequences. Select the one where the middle dart
will emerge while the upper and the lower darts from the opposite side are in
rest for half a second.
Side jump to the ledge in the corner. Jump backward to the
horizontal pole and swing jump to the opposite ledge. You’ll jump past the
last dart trap. There is shotgun ammo past the trap, so if you have less than 40
Shells you can pick them up. Continue straight until a CHECKPOINT.
Go left and find the Temple room with the painted floor again. On
your left there are narrow ledges on the wall.

Jump from the edge to the first ledge
Vault up to the higher ledge and side jump to the next one.
Shimmy a bit to the left and jump up to the higher platform where you pull up.
On the other end of the platform jump to the pillar with the golden rings. Climb
up, turn your back to the higher platform and press B4 to jump to it.
Turn right and overlook the Temple room. A blue grapple sign will
point upward. Look up and notice a grapple ring.

Between the two grapple rings there is a suspended structure
carrying a gong. Aim at the point where it hangs and shoot.

Aim until the circle gets red
Now shoot and the way to the two grapple rings is free. Grapple
jump immediately to the second ring and keep hanging there. Above the opposite
entrance you will see a lever. Keep swinging to reach the top of the entrance.

Pull the lever and the 2nd grated door will slide up
at the mysterious entrance you saw before. CHECKPOINT.

A
second door is sliding up... one more to go
Walk to the edge, and drop down to the ledge under the entrance.
Turn around and see the last grated door of the mysterious entrance.
When the gong fell down it destroyed another part of the painted
floor. The second pillar is now supporting a platform too. Turn to the right and
observe the opposite entrance which is farther away from the painted floor. Now
you will need both platforms to jump there.
Turn around and drop to the floor from the ledge like you did
before. Push both pillars supporting a platform in one row between the painted
floor and the second entrance (it doesn’t matter which one you move first).
Move the first one closest to the entrance and the second between the painted
floor and this one.

If the alignment isn’t perfect, go down again and adjust.
Now jump to the first platform, then to the second and from there
to the entrance ledge and hang down from the ledge.

The way to jump from the painted floor to the
entrance ledge
Pull up and follow the Hallway to your left to the next
CHECKPOINT.
Follow this Hallway until the end on your left there is a pit
with two dart traps (Again!). There is a pointed pillar behind the first trap.
Hang from the ledge and drop down to the lower narrow ledge. From
here drop to the floor. You’ll hear a chime sound and around the corner there
is an Artifact. Pick it up.

Collect the Artifact
Jump up to the first pillar near the narrow ledges you came down
and jump backwards to the platform. Pull up and jump backwards to perch on the
pointed pillar. This way you avoid the dart trap. Turn to the narrow ledge
slightly on your left and jump to it.

Perching on the pillar jump to the ledge
The dart trap on your right is shooting 3 darts simultaneously
with a short break. Then side jump to the right narrow ledge. From this ledge
you see a pole behind you and a pointed pillar further on. Drop to the lower
ledge and shimmy all the way right. Jump backward to perch on the pillar and
from there jump to the opposite ledge (you didn’t need the horizontal pole).
Follow the Hallway right and left until you meet a CHECKPOINT in
front of 3 steps in a room. You’ll see a lever on the opposite wall.
On the left is a box with Shotgun Ammo. Now select the Shotgun.
Go up the three steps in the direction of the lever and the floor
will collapse. Lara will drop to a lower floor where two wolves will attack. The
Shotgun does an excellent job.
Now how to get up there? There are a few narrow ledges you
can’t reach, but there is a double ramp you can run up.
In the middle of the high ledge there is a wooden crate you can
pull out.
Push this crate to the middle square pillar under the small
narrow ledge.

Discovering and maneuvering the crate
Jump onto the crate and from here to the small ledge. Vault up to
the upper narrow ledge. From this ledge jump backward to the hanging pillar.

Jump to the pillar
Turn your back to the next hanging pillar and jump to it. Climb
all the way up, turn your back to the opposite narrow ledge and jump to the
ledge.
Shimmy to the right corner and jump backward to a horizontal
pole. Swing/Jump to the opposite platform and pull up. CHECKPOINT.
Jump to the narrow ledge above and vault up to one above.

You’re hanging from the higher narrow ledge now
Shimmy to the right end of this ledge and jump backward to the
hanging pillar. Climb to the top. Turn around one quarter to the left so that
your back is facing a roof. Jump to that ledge where you will hang down and
hear a chime. Pull up, turn right and find an Artifact.

There is your Artifact
Collect the Artifact. On your way you noticed a lever. Hang down
from the edge you just pulled up on. Shimmy to the far right, press right + B4
to jump to the lower narrow ledge on the wall in the corner. Get in line with
the hanging pillar (shimmy to the far right) and jump backward to it. Climb all
the way up and move your back in the direction of the narrow ledge above the
lever.
Press B4 to jump to the ledge and drop down to the lever.

The third grated door will now rise
Hanging from the lever, make a right sideward jump to the
horizontal pole.

Sideway to the pole
Swing/jump from the pole to the opposite narrow ledge. You
can’t jump up from here to the higher narrow ledge, so shimmy around the left
corner and vault up. Shimmy around the corner to the right and jump up to the
ledge above you. Pull up, go around the right U-corner until you reach the edge.
Jump down from the far right side and descend the three steps you ascended
before. Get a CHECKPOINT.
Run into the hallway and when you turn right another Raptor will
appear.

These damned Raptors!
The Shotgun will send it back to Costa Rica. Return to the
previous room and pick up the Shotgun Shells.

Now you can collect the Shotgun Shells
Return to the Hallway, to the right and left until you find a
pit. Jump to the opposite narrow ledge and look down to see another Raptor in
the lower pit.
Shimmy left and vault up. Press left and study the dart trap.
Three of them will simultaneously shoot from left to right and then take a
break. That’s when you side jump to the left narrow ledge.
Shimmy left and also study the 2nd dart trap. When the
upper dart has gone in jump sideward to the left on a ledge. Turn right into a
Hallway and follow until a CHECKPOINT. Follow the Hallway to the right until you
reach the entrance again. You will see the two platforms to jump to the colored
floor (or of what is left of it).

Jump back to the center part of the colored floor
Hang from the ledge and jump backward to the first platform. Pull
up and jump to the 2nd platform and from there to the colored floor.
Turn right and jump to the opening where the 3 grated doors have
opened (That was the “mysterious” entrance).
Run up the ramp and turn either right or left – it doesn’t
matter. Say we go left (I’m left handed).
Take a U-turn and go up the next ramp. CHECKPOINT. Now you will
enter the room of Qualopec that holds the Scion of Atlantis (Pronounce Skee-yon).
A cut scene will follow that is very confusing: this is the abode of a
Triumvirate of Kings of Atlantis. The God on the right side of Qualopec (who is
sitting in the middle on his Throne) will become alive and attack Lara.
Eventually Lara will collect the Scion of Atlantis and run out when everything
is starting to collapse in there. When leaving you’ll get a new CHECKPOINT.

Lara collects the Scion of Atlantis
Everything starts trembling and shaking so just run through the
Hallway until you reach the colored floor. Jump on it and jump straight to the
exit of this temple of spells. There you get a new CHECKPOINT.
When you find the pit, jump down and kill the Raptor. Go to the
other side and jump up the lower platform like you have done before to get up.
Proceed to a next CHECKPOINT.
Go on to the left entrance. Lara will meet Larson.
Lara:
I’d love to join
you, but I forgot my trunks
Larson: Why am I not
surprised? You’ve got your job; I’ve got mine. I’ll take it from here.
Lara:
I hope Natla sent you
here with more than one shotgun.

Obviously Larson is a double agent working for Jacqueline
Natla
Larson:
Don’t sweat it,
kitten; I prefer a more hands-on approach.

Lara and Larson start to fight
When Lara falls down Larson says:
I’m starting to think you’re not interested.
Now you will get a couple of arrows indicating you must push the
movement button in the indicated direction.

Press upward

Press downward
Eventually Lara will push Larson to the ground and shows him the Scion: That is only one piece of the Scion; Where’s the rest of it?

Don’t mess with Lara!
Larson:
Gimme a minute,
I’m thinking. Whoa! It makes no difference to me: Pierre’s probably already
found his piece.
Lara:
Pierre Dupont? Where?
Larson:
Now that I don’t
know
Lara:
All right. I’m
convinced.
Larson:
Damn, you really
had me going there.
Poor Lara leaves the scene in a depressed mood and she seems
really tired.
Next we see her hanging from a rope in a city that seems like New
York to me.

Lara in New York City?
Apparently she’s going to
Natla.

That is Natla Technologies for
sure
Inside she watches a computer screen with info on Larson and
Pierre.

What is that stuff with Larson and Pierre with Natla?
She sees a hallway that looks like ancient Peru on the screen
(where Lara used to investigate before) and listens to a secret conversation.
JN:
Looks like our girl’s
pulled it off.
Larson:
Of course she has.
JN:
Now it’s up to you.
Larson:
Not that I’m
complaining boss, but what makes you so sure she’s not going to bring it back
herself?
JN:
Lara would never part
with the Scion; she’s far too obsessed with it. Just like her father.
Next Lara sees Pierre Dupont in front of what looks like a Greek
Monastery.

Ah, Monsieur Dupont,
you have something to report?
Good
news, Madame, your information was correct. I have located my piece of Scion.
Voilà. It is buried under a place called St. Francis Folly.
