CITY GATE – LIGHT SEEDS

The Power Plates in this Sublevel are blue meaning you need the Hand of Ormazd for activation.

You still need 62 Light Seeds to earn your next Power so for now take all the Light Seeds you can get here save those that need to be caught with this particular Power yet to be earned. Without the Power you should be able to collect 40/45 Light Seeds at this point.
[NOTE: some numbering in the left corner (on a total of 170) may not match the figure legend since I played it twice and the second time in a more logical sequence. However, all 45 Light Seeds have been located]

Look around the Fertile Ground. Jump up to the door and grab LS107.

LS108 is on the opposite side. Take it and look down from the spot where it used to be. There are two more Light Seeds right under the edge. Hang from the edge and shimmy left and right to catch them.

Pull up and go in the direction Elika pointed out in the previous Sublevel.

Take LS111-113 from the Ground and jump to the opposite ledge. Careful now: the next ledge is a slope. Jump and slide down [LS114] and at the end of the ride jump to the next ledge.

Turn right and climb up the wall to get LS115 and gripfall back to the floor.

Look left and observe a seemingly infinite amount of Light Seeds. Turn right and climb the vines on the wall. Climb up to the next vines and take LS116. Wall run to the left vines [LS117].

Wall run left again and jump off to the hanging column.

Lower down and turn your back towards the wall with both Light Seeds. Jump backwards and gripfall down passing LS118-119. Then press green to return to the column.

Climb all the way up. Your next moves are some roofruns. LS120 is at the second column.

Jump backwards to the ledge [LS121].

From this ledge you can spot more Light Seeds. Study your moves well. First notice a suspended wooden sloping bridge [LS122].

Jump to the bridge, slide down [LS122] and at the end of the ride jump and climb up to the opposite ledge.

Pull up and look at the number of Light Seeds waiting to be collected.

First take the two at this ledge [LS123-124]. Next notice a Light Seed hanging from the wall. Stand in front of the wall exactly facing the Light Seed, jump, climb up and when touching LS125 press green to jump backwards to the ledge again.

Face the two slopes leading to a ledge under the double entrance to a next section. Jump and slide from slope to slope [LS126-127] and jump/climb up to the ledge.

You’ll have to explore this entire area too

 

Wall run on your left past the ring to a narrow ledge. Shimmy right and climb up the vertical narrow shaft.

Look up and jump up to the higher narrow shaft. Shimmy right hanging from the narrow ledge.

Take LS128. The following ledge is sloping to the left.

Jump with Elika’s help to the slope and slide down. At the end jump with Elika’s help to the next slope [LS129] and on to the opposite ledge.

Pull up and look at a Corrupted Tunnel junction.

You have no business here for now, so turn to the Fertile Ground. But this time to the left part.

The first ledge is a slope. Jump, slide down and jump to a ledge.

Pull up and grab LS130. Jump up to the higher ledge and pull up.

Turn right and notice a Light Seed on the opposite wall. Jump at it with Elika’s help and when touching [LS131] press green to jump backwards to the ledge again.

Prepare  your next moves: there are two slopes (each with a Light Seed) leading to your right to a ledge under a wall with two rings in a vertical row.
Slide from both slopes to the ledge [LS132-133].

Pull up and notice a slope going up to a ledge.

You have returned to this ledge now. Enter through the left door and notice more Light Seeds. Take LS134 in front of you.

Notice the two slopes each with a Light Seed leading to an upper ledge. Slide down from them [LS135-136] to the ledge.

Pull up. On the left side of the suspended bridge is a sloping ledge leading to a stable ledge. Slide down [LS137] and jump to the ledge.

Take LS138 from the ledge. Turn left and wall run [LS139] to the vines. Shimmy left and wall run to the next vines, where you already noticed a couple of Light Seeds hanging on top.

Wall run up to LS140-141 and gripfall back to the vines.

Shimmy all the way left. Wall run left and jump off the wall to a sloping ledge. Slide down [LS142]and jump off to the opposite wall where you will  automatically wall run left to some vines.

You are entering a Corrupted Tunnel again. Shimmy all the way left on the vines.
Wall run left and jump backwards to the slope. At the end of the ride jump up to a ledge. Meet a black shadow of evil there: one of Ahriman’s Soldiers is taking shape.

Pull up and start a short battle. Jump over the Soldier (green) and press redblueblue and that will return him C.O.D. to Ahriman himself.


All it needs is one combo

 

Have a look at the Corrupted Tunnel that leads to the next Land: Tower of Ahriman. Remember this Tunnel Entrance for later.


You don’t need to go there now

 

Turn to the slope leading to a ledge with a Light Seed. Slide down, jump to the ledge [LS143] and you will automatically jump up to the wall and wall run left to a vine.

Shimmy around the corner, climb up and wall run left [LS144] to another vine.

Shimmy left and notice a suspended sloping wooden bridge on your left. Wall run left, jump backwards to the bridge, slide down and jump up to the opposite ledge.

Pull up to this ledge you’ve been before and jump/climb the opposite ledge.
Overlook the scene: recognize the curving slope again that goes to a ledge? In the background you see the Fertile Ground.

Jump with Elika’s help to the next slope and slide down [LS145] jumping to the ledge.

Wall run up the vines to the top ledge.

Reach the ledge and the hanging columns

 

Jump from column to column until you’re hanging by a Light Seed on the wall. Jump backwards [LS146] and back to the column where you slide down until you see a small edge.

Jump to the ledge.
Consult your Map: you’ve found 40/45 Light Seeds in this Sublevel.

You’ve already noticed the 5 remaining Light Seeds hanging higher up that you have to reach when you return with the Hand of Ormazd once you’ve earned that Power.

Jump down to the Fertile Ground and Save your Game here.

Since you still miss 24 Light Seeds to achieve your next Power you have no other choice than returning to Ruined Citadel – King’s Gate from where you can take a Tunnel to The Sun Temple... This is the only Land on the Map that is accessible where you should find all 45/45 Light Seeds because you have the Step of Ormazd.
Remember Elika can only Teleport the Prince to Lands he already visited and healed. Newly accessible Lands need to be reached by the Tunnels.

Teleport to King’s Gate and read the Walkthrough further in Level 3: Ruined Citadel – The Sun Temple – where you will be explained of how to reach the new Land from King’s Gate.

Returning after the healing of Royal Palace

You have been teleported to the Fertile Ground from Coronation Hall after having healed Royal Palace . You have the four Powers. You may go after the 5 remaining Light Seeds with Hand of Ormazd now, but there is no need for Light Seeds anymore. This Power allows you to the next Sublevel.
Set your destination to Tower of Ahriman .

Let Elika’s Flare show you the path.

Look down from where the Flare went off and notice a slope that leads to a lower ledge in the corner.

Jump to the slope, slide down and jump to the ledge.

Wall run up to some vines, climb up and wall run up to the higher vines. Shimmy left and wall run to the vines on your left. Prepare a wall run to the first hanging column.

Wall run left, jump off to the column and climb up. Prepare a roof run.

Roof run to the second column and on to the third. Continue roof running until you drop to a ledge.

Follow Elika’s Flare. Jump to the slope, slide down and jump to the wall. Climb and pull up to the ledge. Turn around and look at the next slope.

Jump to the slope and slide down. Jump off to the next ledge.

You can already see the border platform from this ledge. Wall run left, pass two vines and continue wall running until you can jump off to a slope on your left. Slide down.

Jump to the opposite wall and wall run left to the vines. Shimmy left. You’re entering Corrupted Land . Prepare a wall run past two blobs.

The blobs are going up and down. Start wall running when they are going down. Jump off to the slope on your left.

Slide down and jump to the wall. Wall run up and pull up to the border platform.

Start a battle with a heavy monster that is mostly blue. A well aimed blow with the sword followed by a thrust in the middle of his chest can finish him off at once.

You’re at the border platform here. On the other side lies the Corrupted path to Tower of Ahriman .

TOWER OF AHRIMAN
