Walk
to the end of the protruding grated beam pointing to the next section of the
path in Corruption.

Continue from the grated beam
Jump with Elika’s help to the wall with two rings and climb up to a ledge.

Up to the ledge
Walk
on the protruding beam and jump to a hanging column. Jump backwards and wall
run. Jump off to the next hanging column.

On the next hanging column
Jump
backwards to the wall. Wall run and jump off with Elika’s help to a large
platform in front of the Fertile Ground.

A large platform
Elika:
The
Elika:
He makes even your ego look small.
Prince:
Then we really need to stop him getting
out.
Elika:
Let’s use the Plate.
Prince:
Those cranks down there, what are they all
for?
Elika:
These were from the
Prince:
It looks like the water in those ponds has
turned to Corruption. What happens to fish if they’re Corrupted?
Elika:
They die.
Prince:
Well, I suppose that’s not as bad as
some of the things I was imagining.
Go
down the stairs and wall run left to a yellow Power Plate.

Wall run left to the yellow Plate
The
Plate will launch you between two walls. Wall run on the right wall, and jump
off to the left wall. Wall run to a second yellow Plate.

Wall run

Jump off

To the second yellow Plate
This
Plate flings you at a wall. Wall run to the third yellow Plate.

To the third yellow Plate
You’ll
hit a room with cranks.

To the crank room
Prince:
If these were gardens...
where are all the plants?
Elika:
The Corruption must have killed the few
that were left. The rest...
this place hasn’t been tended since my mother
died. There’s a plate attached to that pillar over there. We can raise it if
we fill that pond. It is a...
counterweight. The cranks control sluice gates
that let the water flow to those control ponds.
Prince:
Any idea which one we move first?
Elika: I think we should start over there. But
that’s for how we open the sluice gates...
I only ever saw the plate raised
once as a child and I’ve never seen the plate active.
Prince:
Which crank shall we push?
Elika:
Just pick one, we can figure it out.
Prince:
Right and keep an eye open for any of our
friends.

The plate under the yellow Power Plate
Go
left and overlook the cranks because the cranks on your right won’t work. Like
most of the puzzles in this Game it’s all trial and error without any logic
involved. You must turn the cranks and allow a number of basins to fill with
black Corruption. Eventually the left tank will be filled.

The cranks on the left side
Elika:
The gate is open, but the flow must start
up there.
Prince:
It looks like each crank controls more
than one sluice gate.
Elika:
We’ll have to figure out which opens
which to make a channel to the control ponds.
Prince:
Yeah, great. These cranks are linked to
all of the pools around them.
Elika:
We’ll have to remember the changes they
make.
Prince:
Pity you can’t remember the order.
Elika:
I was eight when I last saw them moved.
Prince:
That’s still not right.
Elika:
The cranks move in both directions so we
can correct them … we can work this out.
Prince:
Any suggestions?
Elika:
You’re the world travelled adventurer
who’s seen it all. I thought you might have an idea.
Prince:
Terrific...
You get the feeling we’re
being watched?
Elika:
It must be The Concubine. Let’s keep
going.
Prince:
Don’t you think it’s odd The
Concubine’s not appeared? I mean we’ve been sitting here and she’s done
nothing. Maybe she’s not that bright of a Concubine.
Elika:
Maybe she didn’t think you were bright
enough to solve the puzzle.
Prince:
I can figure this out. I can figure this
out...
Elika:
Let’s try another crank.
Prince:
Think, think...
Elika:
Maybe if we moved another crank.
Prince:
What now...
Elika:
We’ll have to find a way to align the
gates.
Prince:
Why can’t I see what to do?
Elika:
Ha, I can’t see it yet. But there has to
be a solution.
Keep
turning the cranks and make sure more and more basins get filled with
Corruption. Suddenly you will see that the left pond is filled and that part of
the puzzle solved. Now you can go to the right side. When the Corruption has
flown in left and right of the plate it will rise. You can jump with Elika’s
help to the raised plate.

The Corruption has raised the plate

The yellow Power Plate is within reach now
Wall
run up, engage and the Plate will launch you to the Fertile Ground.

The Fertile Ground
Approach
the light beam and you’ll meet The Concubine. This is a good battle though.
The bitch can now turn black and blue too.

Scenes from the battle
Prince:
Where she’s gone? Are you sure her
disappearance isn’t another illusion? I can move, she must have gone. Well,
then let’s heal the Ground and get out of this place. If we jump down from
here we can use the Plates to get out, right? Elika?
Elika:
Yes. Yes, that should be the way out.
Walk
to the light beam, and let Elika merge with the Force. Press yellow
repeatedly and witness the miracle:

The healing of this Land!
Prince:
You used to spend time here?
Elika:
I used to come here with my mother.
Prince:
Oh yeah? I don’t think she’d be
too impressed with the way this place is now.
Elika:
There were fountains all round here that
watered the plants. Trees, flowers, herbs, spices, things you didn’t see
anywhere else. They must have been from before, or from outside. She’d bring
the children here to look after them.
Prince: Yeah...
Ne-ver got in to gardening. You
know. Hey, they’re just plants, we can’t get you some more. I find Farah so
we can ship them in from wherever you want. Flowers, trees, you’re a Princess,
you deserve it.

Yes.
Prince:
You can make these gardens grow again.
Elika
(bored): Yes.
You
will now get an Autosave.

This is an Autosave
You can now choose between two bordering Lands: Spire of Dreams and Royal Spire. It doesn’t matter which one you take first. Flip a coin, set your destination to Spire of Dreams and ask Elika to show the way.

Next destination: Spire of Dreams

Elika’s Flare shows you the way
Jump
down to a lower ledge. You can see the border platform from here.

Jump down to this ledge
Jump to two poles in a row. Jump with Elika’s help from the second pole to a wall. Wall run to your right and jump off to a narrow beam. From here you have a good view of the border platform with a black flame of evil.

To the narrow beam
Walk down from the hanging narrow bridge. Your next moves are a jump to the wall, wall running to the left and jumping off to a pole.

At the end of the bridge

Hanging from the pole
Jump
to the platform and face the Soldier Of Ahriman. When this creep turns black
only a red attack will end that state.

Scenes from the battle
Let
Elika throw a Flare. The path leads into Corruption.
