Go
to the protruding narrow beam on the left side of the platform.

Notice
that the air is Corrupted past the beam. Jump to the first column, immediately
climb up and prepare a fast roof run.
Jump to the column and climb up
Roof
run past three rings to the second column before the air gets completely dark.
Roof run to the first ring and press red
Continue to the second ring and press red
Press red on the third ring
Continue to the next column
Quickly
jump backwards to the wall when the blob is out of sight. The Prince will start
wall running to the vines on the right. Immediately shimmy right.
Jump to the wall
Wall run to the vines
Shimmy right
Wait
for the second blob of a pair (vertical) to go up or down and wall run to the
ledge on your right.
Wall run NOW!
Avoid the blobs
Jump off to the ledge
You’re
back in clean air here.
Prince:
That doesn’t look like it was built by
the Ahura.
Elika:
It was built by their hands, but only once
they had been enslaved. It is one of The Alchemist’s machines.
Prince:
The Alchemist doesn’t look like the type
for midnight skinny dipping. So what did he keep in that?
[NOTE:
The Prince refers to the Reservoir on the opposite side]
Elika:
Corruption. He pumped it to other parts of
the City, manipulating it, changing it into new forms.
Prince:
None of this look like a thousand years
old. I meant it’s decrepit. But that
decrepit.
Elika:
Once he was gone, we, the Ahura, used it
to feed the City with water, until it stopped working. By that time the
Thinkers, Philosophers, Alchemists had all left. There was no one left to fix
the machine. Since then...
it has fallen into decay.
Prince:
You used this to feed the City with water?
So, not all The Alchemist’s machines are bad?
Elika:
Oh, they are. We just put this to good
work after he had been imprisoned.
Prince:
Hmmm, imagine this full of water,
surrounded by nature. Your own private oasis in the middle of the Desert, hey,
Princess?
Elika:
That’s me, I’m all about excess.
Prince:
Did you have your own hand maidens too?
Prince:
Chances are when The Alchemist refills
that Reservoir he’s not going to put water in it.
Jump
and slide down from the slope near the ledge.
Slide down
At
the end of the slope jump to the wall and wall run to the vines. Shimmy all the
way right.

Wall
run to the vertical narrow shaft on your right.

Climb
up to a connecting narrow ledge and shimmy right. Prepare a wall run.

run to the next narrow ledge and shimmy right, preparing another wall run to
your right.
To the narrow ledge on your right
Wall
run to your right and jump off to the slope.

Slide
down and jump to the wall.

Touching
the wall the Prince will wall run up to the vines. Climb up.

run up to the next ledge.
Up to the next ledge
There
are two ways to go from here:
-
the
path following two narrow ledges and vines on the left. This is the path to Construction
Yard. That’s not your destination.
-
a
red Power Plate on the right. Ask Elika: her Light Flare will go to the red
Plate. This is the way to the Fertile Ground.

Go down to the lower part of the ledge from where you have a good view of the Corrupted Reservoir.

Elika:
The Fertile Ground is at the bottom of
that vessel.
Prince:
You put the Fertile Ground at the bottom
of a Reservoir?
Elika:
How better to protect it than by putting
it underwater?
Prince:
How about putting it under several
thousand bucket loads of Corruption? That’s my bet for what The Alchemist is
planning.
Elika:
The Plate over there must lead down to the
bottom.
Prince:
I hope you’re ready for trouble, because
if we have to go swimming in Corruption, well...
I didn’t even bring a towel.
Wall
run to the red Power Plate.
To the red Plate
Get
flinged to a wall where you’ll wall run to the second power Plate.
To the second Plate
The
ride goes on to a ledge with a third Plate.

From
here you can look down in the Reservoir and see the Fertile Ground at the
bottom.

Elika:
I know The Alchemist built this to store
Corruption but what he intends to use it for...
Prince:
Maybe he wants to keep fish in it? Even
Corrupted maniacs must do something in their spare time.
Ready for the next Plate?
The
Prince goes on:
I
Still can’t see where we’re going. There’s no sign of The Alchemist. If
The Alchemist is waiting for us, he’s keeping a low profile.
Engage
from the red Plate and get ready for a wild ride. First land on a slope in a
tunnel.
Off the Plate and catapulted to a slope
Slide
down, jump to the wall and wall run to the second Plate.
From the slope to the Plate
From
here it goes to a third and a fourth Plate.

The fourth Plate
The
fourth Plate will blow you to another slope.
To another slope
Slide
down, jump to the wall and wall run to the fifth Plate.
Slide down and reach the fifth Plate
This
one hurls you at a wall where you can run up to a ledge.
Run up to a ledge
The
show isn’t over yet, for there is your next Plate. Wall run to the Plate and
fly off. This ride is getting pretty wilder.

Your
next landing is on a slope. Slide down, jump to the wall, and wall run to the
second Plate.
To the second Plate
Now
take a short trip to the third Plate.
To the third Plate
This
Plate will drop you to the first of two slopes in a row. Slide down.
To a first slope
At
the end of the slope jump with Elika’s help to the second slope. Slide down.

At
the end of the slope jump to the wall. The Prince will wall run up to the fourth
Plate.
Jump and climb up to the Plate
This
Plate pitches you upon the fifth Plate.
To the fifth Plate
Tear
off into a tunnel where you will slide down to the Fertile Ground.
To the Fertile Ground
Elika:
We’re trapped
Prince:
And you didn’t think of that before we
came down into a giant bowl?
Meantime The Alchemist takes shape on the Fertile Ground. The usual combos starting with yellow are most efficient. And if he turns black: send Elika to give him a bang and get him normal again. When he turns blue let the Prince give him a blow with his sword.

When
The Alchemist is tired of growling and fed up with the battle he’ll leave.

...Any chance you could heal it and get out of here?
Lead
Elika to the blue light beam and press yellow to let her merge with the
Power of the beam. Press yellow repeatedly and experience a magnificent
view of this wonderful transformation:

an Autosave. It is recommended to make a manual Savegame as well.
