MARSHALLING GROUND

 

You have traveled from Martyr’s Tower through The Sun Gate to reach this green platform where you overlook the Corruption.

You are standing where the arrow is on the Map and your destination is set to Marshalling Ground. Have this confirmed with a Light Flare of Elika.

Elika’s Flare

 

Elika’s Flare passes two narrow ledges and goes down. Jump to the first narrow ledge and shimmy around the corner, preparing a wall run to the second – when the pair of blobs is not obstructing your run.

Shimmy around the corner to your right and prepare a wall run past the bend to the narrow ledge on your right – when the it pleases the blob.

Slide down from the vertical narrow shaft when the higher of two blobs is on the right side and end on a lower narrow ledge.

Gripfall NOW!

     

Shimmy right from the lower narrow ledge and wall run to the vertical narrow shaft on your right.

Gripfall down on a narrow ledge and prepare a wall run to the narrow ledge on your right – with permission of the couple of blob guards. That means when #1 is above and #2 is passing downwards in the middle.

Wall run to the protruding narrow beam of a ledge on your right. Jump off the wall to the beam.

Walk to the opposite protruding beam and wall run jumping off to the wall with the vines.

Climb to the lower right end of the vines and prepare a double wall run past the waterfall to the next set of vines.

Jump off to your second run on the perpendicular wall to the vines

 

Climb up right to where you see some wall running tracks to a platform.

Prince: Have you got the feeling we’ve been watching?
Elika: I can’t feel anything.
Prince: Well, then maybe we should go across while it’s safe.

Walk around and observe this platform. You can see the blue light beam of the Fertile Ground above. We’re at Marshalling Ground!
Save your Game.

There are two ways you can follow from here:

-         Notice a Tunnel with a curved wall with two rings leading to a pole with a brown flag on the far right

-         There is a yellow Power Plate you can wall run to and dart off

Consult Elika’s Light Flare. It goes in the direction of the Power Plate. So that’s the path you must follow now.

If you like to know where the wall with the rings is leading to, open the Map and set your destination to The Windmills. The Map will show that you are standing in the middle of Marshalling Ground. Then let Elika launch a Light Flare and notice it is flying into the Tunnel with the wall with the rings. So this is the Entrance to the Tunnel leading to The Windmills. And that’s not where you want to go now.

Reset your Map and wall run to the Power Plate.

Press yellow to be shot away to a ledge with a second Power Plate, whirling through space where you have to steer with LAS. If you hit an object you’ll have to start over from the first Power Plate.

Prince: Why just stone... I’ve seen Cities with golden roofed Palaces, and painted Temples.
Elika: There was color here. The uniforms of the Soldiers as they paraded and drilled. The stalls of Traders on Market Day.
Prince: You held markets here? In the middle of the Desert? What did you sell, sand?
Elika: Traders came in their hundreds with foods, silks, spices. Then Ahriman’s voice grew stronger... the people left... and there was no longer a reason for the Traders to come.
Prince: How will you persuade people to return?
Elika: They will come. For a thousand years we’ve guarded a legend. Now, people will know the danger is real. The good people, the people with duty, they will return. Let’s heal the Fertile Ground before we get noticed.
Prince: After this is finished we should go to a real market.

Walk along the narrow beam to the wall and jump up to the Power Plate. Fling away through space again to a ledge with the third Power Plate, adjusting your flight with LAS.

Elika (pointing to the low right): The next Plate’s there!

Climb up to the Power Plate and be catapulted to a battle platform beneath the Fertile Ground where The Hunter is waiting for you. You’ll be passing by the first Power Plate.

This clash with The Hunter is getting harder. He often changes his state into  blue. Only blue attacks will end this state and bring him back to normal again. Experiment with different combos. One of the most efficient is still red, yellow, blue, yellow, blue (throwing him into the air, Elika’s attack, a stab, a second attack of Elika and a final stab). That will cause serious damage – if it works, because it doesn’t always do the trick).

When The Hunter is tired out he is fleeing again over a wall.

Prince: Are you OK?
Elika: I’m fine, let’s...
Prince: Hey... are you all right?


Yes. Thank you.

 

Prince (concerned): Do you want to rest a minute?
Elika: Let’s heal the Fertile Ground, then we’ll know he won’t come back.

Climb to the ring in the wall and press red to reach the top platform: the Fertile Ground.

Press yellow repeatedly and behold the Wonder of the Year:

Elika is exhausted as always but when healing the Fertile Ground she received a Light Seed: LS227.

Prince: Tell me about this thing. Why do they call it The Hunter?


Legend has it he was a Prince who lived for the hunt.

 

After he’d run out of things to trap and kill, he sold his Soul to Ahriman in return for a chance to become a Hunter of the deadliest animal: man.

Prince (self-esteemed): Picked the wrong man this time didn’t he?
Elika: He’s not dead yet.


This is an Autosave point

 

It is advisable to make a manual Savegame as well by overwriting your first one.
