THE SUN TEMPLE

You have now teleported from the Fertile Ground at City Gate – Light Seeds (Level 6: City of Light ) to the healed Fertile Ground at King’s Gate (Level 3: Ruined Citadel) and have to set your next destination to The Sun Temple on the Map.

Let Elika throw a Flare to the path of your destination.


Elika’s Flare shows the way

 

You have to follow the opened gate, jump from the tip of the protruding beam to the hanging column and gripfall to the lower ledge.

This is the way to the platform where you fought Ahriman’s Soldier in King’s Gate – Light Seeds. You’ll have to defeat him again.
This time don’t return but continue to the wall with the grayish vines to the Tunnel, like shown by Elika’s Flare.

Jump up to the narrow ledge on the opposite wall and shimmy left.

Wall run left, jump backwards to the left wall, automatically wall run right and press green to jump off to the next ledge.

Turn around to see a protruding narrow beam that allows you to return the same way. For now, follow straight.

Jump left to the slope, slide down and at the end of your ride jump with Elika’s help to the opposite ledge.

This is the Entrance to the Sun Temple and you may Save here. See a red Power Plate on a small rock in front of you (Step of Ormazd).

A cut scene shows views from the other side.


It looks quiet

 

Prince: Don’t say it’s quiet. Don’t ever say it’s quiet.


Any idea where the Fertile ground is?


Elika: Up there. Shall we try and heal it?

 

Prince: The Hunter’s got to be around somewhere and I get the feeling he’s territorial.

Walk to the end of the protruding beam and jump up to the Power Plate with Elika’s Magic help.


Stand on the tip of the protruding ledge


Jump to the Power Plate with Elika’s help

 

Immediately press yellow to be launched to another Power Plate.


Blast off to a second Power Plate

 

Press yellow to be catapulted off, but this time the Hunter is following you to an arena where you will end.


You’ll land on an Arena followed by The Hunter


I told you... never say it’s quiet here

 

This is not such a hard battle.


When the Hunter spews black ink you won’t see anything, so keep pressing RT to block him until the screen is cleared again

 

After the usual combos he will be defeated, crumble away and disappear again. Elika and the Prince watch him fleeing off.

Why do we always have to go towards the bad guys?

 

Is there another way up there?
Elika: Just that Plate.
Prince: No element of surprise then. Good, I like playing fair. Any ideas?
Elika: I saw another Plate over there. We’ll have to get round to it.


Keep an eye out for our friend. He’s gone quiet. That’s bound to mean trouble

 

Jump up to the Power Plate by the Arena and press yellow to launch.

Where is this taking us?

 

The hellish flight ends at a single tall rock with a second Power Plate where the Prince climbs up.


The Prince lands below the Power Plate and climbs up


Press yellow to launch


Fly off to a high ledge and land

 

But The Hunter is watching this in anger from the Corrupted Ground and smears the walls full with crawling black goo whose purpose is to captivate our friends and let them instantly die when they touch the blubber.


The Hunter throws black blobs of living goo against the wall

 

Prince: I preferred it when it “was” quiet. Come on fella, play fair! They’re in the walls!


Watch the walls! These things are nasty

 

We’ll have to time this right.

Jump up to the narrow ledge and shimmy right, preparing a side jump when the black goo goes up or down. Shimmy right, climb down from the vertical narrow shaft and shimmy right on the lower narrow ledge when the goo is on the left side of the shaft.


Wait for wall running to the narrow ledge on your right


RUN!


Climb to the other end of the lower narrow ledge

 

Now prepare another wall run to a right narrow ledge when the goo is out of range. On the ledge shimmy right to an upward going narrow shaft.


Wait for the goo to lower down


RUN!


Hang from the narrow ledge and shimmy right to the shaft

 

Prince: Don’t let go off my hand.

Climb up and vault up to a higher narrow ledge where you shimmy right.


Reach the right side of the higher narrow ledge

 

Prepare a wall run to the Power Plate on your right avoiding the black goo, crawling up and down.


Wait for the goo to be out of the way


RUN NOW!

 

Press yellow to catapult off. Reach an opposite Power Plate, blast off to a third one, get thrown into the air, and land on a ledge.


A series of dazzling blasts ending on a ledge

 

Climb up on the narrow ledge, shimmy left to the short vertical narrow shaft, climb up and jump backwards to the standing column.

Jump backwards to the hanging column

 

Climb up and turn your back towards the wall with the narrow ledge. Jump backwards and run up the wall to grab the ledge.

Hang from the narrow ledge

 

Jump backwards to the column again.

Climb all the way to the top

 

Jump backwards to the wall and climb up to hang from a higher narrow ledge (the right ledge of two). Shimmy left and prepare a left wall run to the other narrow ledge.

RUN NOW!

 

Shimmy left and prepare a wall run left to the vertical narrow shaft.


Wait for the goo to pass


RUN NOW!


Reach the shaft

 

Climb down and wait for the lower goo to move to the far right. Gripfall all the way down avoiding all the goo blobs going from left to right and land safely on the floor.


Gripfall NOW!


Safely reach the floor

 

Wall run left to the Power Plate when the goo is out of the way. Now it’s all going very fast:


Wait until the wall is cleared from the goo


Wall run to the Power Plate NOW!


Pres yellow to get catapulted away


Fly through the air to a second Power Plate and press yellow


End up on a wall where you will automatically wall run


Jump off the wall to a hanging column

 

From here you can already see The Hunter waiting on the Corrupted Ground.

Jump with Elika’s help to the second pole


Jump from the second pole to the Ground with Elika’s help

 

This is the second confrontation with The Hunter.


I don’t think he’s happy to see us

 

Combo’s starting with red are the best. First deflect a few sword strokes and then throw The Hunter in the air with red, followed by yellow and more yellow or more blue.


With red into the air


Then a few strokes or some Magic

 

When their swords are stuck press repeatedly the color that is appearing on the screen (and I mean: pressing like hell!). In this case press blue to get the enemy on the floor.

When The Hunter is defeated he’ll run off again.


The Hunter is knocked out


He escapes over the wall to heal and return later on

 

Elika and the Prince watch his escape.


I Hope that hurt!

 

Elika: He can’t hear you.
Prince: He can’t? And you’re an ugly mother too! What?

It is time for the healing of the Fertile Ground.


Elika walks under the light beam

 

The magnificent wonder starts again: press yellow repeatedly to allow Elika healing the Fertile Ground into a lush paradise.

The Prince takes the exhausted Elika by the hand.

Ahriman won’t rest

 

This is an Autosave but a manual Savegame would be advised too.
