HUNTER’S
LAIR
Prince:
I’ve seen a few security setups in my time...
this beats them all.
Elika:
It’s a Black Gate. It Guards the Lair of
the Corrupted. If we want to drive them out we’ll have to get inside.
Prince:
And how do we do that?
Elika:
Weaken their hold on the Land
Prince:
What’s behind the
Black Gate?
Elika:
When they ruled this Land each of the
Corrupted had a stronghold. If we can weaken their hold on the Land the Gate
should open. Then we can finish them.
Prince:
What happens when we open this?
Elika:
I don’t know. I’ve never been inside
there.
Prince:
Did you ever get curious? About what was inside?
Elika:
I used to imagine all sorts of things.
Treasure, other Worlds, Lands full of other children to play with.
Prince:
Well let’s hope that is what’s inside.
Elika’s
Light Flare shows the way: the red Power Plate by the Entrance.

You must go to the Power Plate
Jump
on the narrow railing on your right and cross to the section under the Plate.


Jump between the narrow railings
Climb
up to the red Plate and get blown off to a yellow Power Plate. This will launch
you to a red Plate and during the flight you’ll have to steer away from some
obstructions twice.


Climb up to the Red Plate and travel to a yellow Plate

Get launched
You
will now fly to a Tower with a red Plate. During the flight you will have to
avoid obstructions with LAS.





Avoid obstructions using LAS
Get rebounded to a ledge with a yellow Plate.

Climb
up and fling off.

During
this flight you will have to steer well with LAS as there are many obstacles to
avoid.

Enter
the huge door to the Lair. The Prince meets The Hunter for the final battle:

Prince: Guess that’s our answer.
The battle with The Hunter has three stages. You will drop to a lower level when his Health meter is at 2/3rd and at 1/3rd.

Attack together

The Hunter lost 1/3rd of his health


He crashes the floor
They
all fall to a lower level now and the battle goes on until The Hunter lost 2/3rd
of his health. In great anger he breaks this floor into pieces too and Elika and
the Prince tumble down on a ledge whereas The Hunter is nowhere in sight.

He breaks the arena’s floor into pieces

The Prince and Elika drop to a lower ledge without The Hunter
Jump over the black goo from slope to slope with Elika’s help and slide down. Do some wall running and jump off to a ledge and then to the lower arena.






Your slides, wall runs and jumps to the lowest arena
Here
you’ll meet The Hunter again for the third part of the combat. This arena is
surrounded by goo and both the Prince and The Hunter can be hurt when touching
that black stuff.


Attack with simultaneous combos from the air
The final stroke will finish off The Hunter and he will crumble on the floor towards the ring of goo, while Elika runs at him.

The Hunter’s last moments...
Elika
kneels by his side to comfort him:


Ahriman will never return...

Next,
The Hunter will turn into a sea of light


He flies off and turns into light
Elika
falls down and gets and 25 extra Light Seeds. The Prince lifts her up:


We’d better get out of here!
You
have 334/340 Light Seeds now.

Get an Autosave
Prince:
Did you have to make him explode?!
Elika:
Let’s get out of here
Prince:
Is there anything here that’s not
falling apart?
Elika:
We have to get to the Plates!
Prince:
Did you have to destroy the place too? How
do we get out of here?
But
Elika already answered that question: by the Power Plates, of course.
The
whole place is shaking and rumbling. Run to the red Power Plate and jump up.


Run and jump up to the red Plate
Catapult
to a whirling flight away from here passing two more red Plates until you reach
a ledge with a yellow Power plate.








To the ledge with the yellow Plate
Climb up to the yellow Plate and get a blast through space.


Climb up and hurl away
Avoid
all kind of obstacles with LAS.



Avoid many obstructions
Approach
and fly to a ledge.



Fly down to the ledge
Elika
is exhausted from the trip and falls down. The Prince is more energetic:
We
made it! We made it!

Hey...
Don’t go deserting me...
Whoo...
You had me worried there
Elika: It was the healing, The Hunter’s Soul...

He’s gone now, hasn’t he?
Elika:
Yes.
Prince: You sure? Hello in there. You’re not
going to start leaping round and yowling are you? Not that that would be a bad
thing...
in the right circumstances.
Elika:
I can see you’re all right. It was his
time. The Hunter wanted to hunt. He got what he wanted. So, now you believe in
destiny?
Prince: There’s no God, or Stars controlling me,
Princess. I go where I want...

...Where should we go next?
You’re
at the Gazebo Platform in The
Windmills again.


Back at the Gazebo Platform
Save
your Game.
Open the Map and read that Hunter’s Lair has been destroyed. The whole Area of Ruined Citadel has been healed. You have 334/340 Light Seeds, missing 6 to acquire your 3rd Power.

Your current status
There
are three Lands where you can teleport to for collecting your 6 remaining Light
Seeds:
-
The
Cauldron
(The Vale): 35/45 Light Seeds found. Breath
of Ormazd required to gather the complete set.
-
The
Cavern
(
Hence,
you can either select between The
Cauldron and The Cavern to super
add your 6 Light Seeds. However, since you usually find 40/45 Light Seeds in
most of the Lands without the required Power for 5 extra more, chances are that
you may only find 5 more Light Seeds in The
Cauldron. Hence, it is clear that you must select The Cavern as your next destination to make sure that you will find
your 6 extra Light Seeds.

destination
Teleport
to the Fertile Ground of The Cavern.
