Sublevel 1:
KING’S GATE

Jump over the gap with Elika’s help (greenyellow).


Reach the next ledge

 

Climb the higher ledge in front of you and wall run up to the narrow ledge on your left (called “fissure” in the hints).

Shimmy all around and let go to the next ledge. Be careful for the black goo on the left wall. There is a ring on the right wall. Wall run up to the ring and press red to extend your wall run. Pull up to the higher ledge.

Jump to the ledge on your left and jump/wall run over the gap to a higher ledge. Simply keep pressing green during your jump and the Prince will climb the wall and automatically pull up.

There is a ring on the left wall. Wall run to the ring and press red to extend your wall run. Do not run as far as the ledge for you will drop dead (well... Elika will bring you back). When nearing the ledge pres green to jump off the wall to the ledge.

You now get a message: Press yellow to see the path to your destination. Elika will throw a light ball showing the path. In fact you may do this wherever you like:

Jump to a horizontal pole and press green again to jump off to the next ledge.

You’ve already noticed two rings hanging on the opposite wall. Wall run up to the lower ring, press red to vault up to the higher ring and red again to reach the higher ledge. Pull up.
Next you’ll get two poles in a row. Jump from pole to pole to the opposite ledge.

A narrow beam connects this ledge with a higher ledge. Walk across the beam to the end and jump/wall run up to the opposite ledge (keep pressing green during your jump).

A horizontal narrow beam is hanging in between this ledge and the opposite ledge. Jump from the beam to the ledge.

Notice a narrow vertical shaft on the opposite wall. Jump to it and climb upwards.

On top of the shaft wall run up to the higher ledge.


The higher ledge

 

This ledge is divided by two horizontal narrow beams from the next ledge. Jump from beam to beam to the ledge.


Three jumps to the next ledge

 

Jump up to the narrow beam protruding from the opposite wall. Pull up and face the wall.

Jump to the narrow ledge. Shimmy around the corner and prepare a wall run to the narrow beam on your right.

And... RUN!

 

Shimmy all the way to your right past a number of corners and pull up to a wooden ledge. The talking sign appears. Start a conversation with Elika.

Elika: We’re entering the Citadel. If the Corrupted return to their places, the Hunter will be here.
Prince: I get the feeling we’re not alone here.
Elika: Once we reach the Fertile Ground we should be safe.
Prince: Can you see the Hunter?
Elika: We can’t worry about him. Let’s get go to the top of that tower.

Jump to the horizontal narrow beam, to the pole and to the opposite ledge.


From the narrow beam to the pole and on to the ledge

 

Elika points to a tower:
The Fertile Ground is at the top of that tower.
Prince: And we can reach this one?
Elika: Yes.
Prince: Then let’s go to the top of that tower.

Turn right and walk to the end of a protruding narrow beam. Jump to the hanging column. The Prince will automatically turn his back to the opposite ledge. Press green to jump to it.

Jump off the column to the ledge

 

Jump up to the vines on the opposite wall. Shimmy left until you’re hanging above a ledge and gripfall down the wall (press RT twice).

Shimmy all the way left and gripfall to the ledge

 

Turn around the corner and jump from column to column to the next ledge. If the Prince doesn’t automatically turn his back to the next column or to the ledge you can use LAS to rotate.

When you reach the ledge a growling is heard. Turn around the corner and notice a wall partly covered with vines. Wall run to the vines, shimmy left and continue your wall run to the next ledge.

Turn around the corner and jump to the hanging column. Climb up the column (LAS forward) and jump off to a wooden ledge.

Turn around the corner and jump to a hanging column. Climb to the top of the column. A ring is hanging from the ceiling. Perform a roofrun by pressing green. When you reach the ring press red to continue the roofrun. The Prince will then drop to the opposite ledge.

Prince: Watch yourself.
Elika: Let’s go on.

Turn right and jump past two narrow walls to a wooden ledge.

Jump to the hanging column in front of you and turn your back to a second hanging column that separates the Prince from a next ledge.

On this ledge notice a wall with vines past the bend. Wall run to the vines and shimmy all the way left around the curved wall.


Climb up at the far left

 

Climb up and jump up to the ledge above. This is the Entrance to a room with a strange Creature sitting under a blue light beam.

Enter the room and a door will lock it off. The Prince is worried:


We’re trapped!

 

Elika: We’ll be fine.
Prince: I hope.

Prepare for a fierce battle with the Hunter. Use Deflect and then some Combos. With Elika’s help it will still take a long time to defeat this extremely brutal and aggressive monster. When he knocks you down a color will appear, meaning you have to quickly press that button. If you’re not fast enough the Hunter will partly heal under the blue light beam.

When the Hunter is defeated he won’t die but jump over a wall and disappear (what a coward).


We’ll probably meet that guy again...

 

Prince: What now?
Elika: I’m not sure.
Prince: You’re not...

Suddenly Elika walks into the light beam. All magic things are happening...


I think if I...

 

Press yellow NOW to start healing the Fertile Ground. Elika is pulled into the beam. Keep pressing yellow repeatedly and the corrupted Ground will turn green.

Prince: Whoo. What was that? How did you...
Elika faints in his arms.
Hey...
Elika: I’m all right. It’s nothing.
Prince: It looks like it.
Elika: The Fertile Ground is pure now, this will stop Ahriman using its energy.
Prince: So he’s trapped?
Elika: No, we must heal the other Fertile Grounds.

Elika is fainting again.
Prince: Yeah, you’re in fine shape for that.


The Light Seed. Take me to a Light Seed

 

Elika consumes the Light Seed and strengthens up.


Elika has one of the 60 Light Seeds now

 

Elika (still exhausted): Thank you.
Prince: Do you need these things?
Elika: I felt I did. I didn’t know what to do when we reached here. But I knew Ormazd would show me the way.
Prince: Yeah? Let’s hope he keeps having bright ideas then. And let’s pick up some more of these Light things.

Elika needs Light Seeds to activate a Power at the Temple. Each Power will allow you to unlock a new Land.
You get an Autosave here, but it would be fine to create a Savegame too.

So you know what to do next: it’s Light Seed hunting time!
