Level 4

Forbidden Forest

Backtracking

Back in the Level Select Screen it is time for buying some more Cards for Harry, Ron and Hermione. Select Forbidden Forest and you will be beamed back to the Octagonal star tile. We understand that such a tile is also a Checkpoint where you will return in case you faint. Go right and notice a Triwizard Shield hanging in midair. How do we reach this Shield?

This floating Shield cannot be summoned with Accio

Take the Pumpkin Pasties, go north of the tile and fight 3 Dugbogs. Further left you’ll have to take care of Poisonous Mushrooms with the Bubotubers. Defeat 3 more Dugbogs and see a block in front of the Ruins wall. You’ll have to move this block all the way back past the checkpoint tile with Wingardium Leviosa. Maneuver the block under the Triwizard Shield and grab it.

Now you can take this Shield

As always you’ll be sent to the Level Select Screen. Select Forbidden Forest again. Take the Cauldron Cake behind you and another Cauldron Cake and 2 Pumpkin Pasties on your right. Now backtrack all the way to the sealed area I told you to remember in the previous Sublevel. Meet 4 Dugbogs on your way back and defeat them. Now the former fence of the sealed off area is replaced by a bed of poisonous Mushrooms! Don’t move too far South because you’ll meet another bunch of Dugbogs.

Use the Bubotuber to catapult the Mushrooms three times

Proceed and somewhat further on your right, Jinx your 4th Mushroom. Enter a Blast-Ended Skrewt Arena. This kind of monster spits fire from its trunk and can only be defeated by Jinxing it from behind. One other way to do this is lift it with Wingardium Leviosa and then Jinx it from behind. There is a Triwizard Shield, but get some goodies first before picking it up.

Take your 9th Mini Shield on your left side

Extinguish the fires the Skrewt has ignited and further on there is a Cauldron Cake and a Pumpkin Pastie. Catapult away one of the 3 Bubotubers and Jinx your 3rd Dragon Statue behind them. Now take the Triwizard Shield. From the Level Select Screen go to the Checkpoint of Forbidden Forest.

Return to the area where the Bubotuber was guarding the poisonous Mushrooms that gave access to the Arena, but this time go left and fight the appearing Dugbogs. Proceed until you see 3 rocks in front of a poisonous Mushroom bed. Move these rocks and then use the Bubotuber to free the path from the Mushrooms.

The rocks and the Mushroooms are blocking your way

The terrible thing is that you see this entire South trip in front of you. You’ll have to try this tens of times before you’ll finally reach the Mushrooms. Meet Dugbogs and destroy them. By the tree you come to a junction. The left side is freely accessible, but leads to a dead end. On the right side use two Bubotubers to get rid of the next bed of Poisonous Mushrooms. Then turn right and proceed where there is another bed of poisonous Mushrooms to clean up with a Bubotuber in front of them. Proceed and you’ll find a box that opens up into the Dragon Cage!

There is a Triwizard Shield on top of the Cage and one on the left side in a fire. See that block on your right side? The Dragon is constantly spitting fire bolts, so move that with combined Wingardium Leviosa in front of the Cage and the fire jets will be blocked.

The block neutralizes the Dragon’s fire jets

Before taking the Triwizard Shield there are some goodies to pick up. First take the Pumpkin Pastie on your left. Then backtrack a little and find your 5th Mushroom somewhat hidden in a dark area.

Here is the 5th Mushroom

Left and right of the Dragon Cage there are beds of poisonous Mushrooms. Take the left one first and use a Bubotuber to free the path to your 9th Mini-Shield. Further on your right is your 4th Dragon Statue. Extinguish the fire with Aqua Eructo and take the Triwizard Shield.

And... return once again to this Level for a short, important visit. You’ll be at the octagonal star tile and what counts here is SPEED! Now run to your left and ignore these persistent Dugbogs that will appear, until you meet your first poisonous Mushroom bed on your right. The others will take care of the Dugbogs. Use the Bubo in front of the bed to clear your way and hurry to catch the Vanishing Card.

Your Vanishing Card of this Level.

Press ESC and End Level. Now you have a choice here.

If you have the Herbivicus Spell from Level 7 you can go to the next Sublevel: Forbidden Forest, Revisited for collecting the other Triwizard Shields.

If not, select Level 5.
