Level
2
Hogwarts
Exterior
The
Rooftop
This
time go down the first set of stairs on your left to a lower walkway. Turn right
and Jinx your 2nd Dark Detector in the corner. There
are three moveable blocks left of the walkway. Apply combined Wingardium Leviosa
and move one to the far wall. Then place one on top and the third block in front
of both. This way you will have built a staircase to the opening on the higher
ledge.
Climb
up the ledge
Go
left and Jinx your 2nd Dragon Statue. Follow the path to the right
where the Blue Beans are and collect your 3rd Triwizard Shield.
Collect
the Triwizard Shield
You’ll
get a Status Upgrade and a new location unlocked: Moody’s
Challenges. Now
you need 2 more Triwizard Shields to unlock the next location. Select
Hogwarts Exterior in the Level Select
Screen and return to the lit octagonal spot.
Go
back down the stairs on your left and view what looks like a rooftop
construction, consisting of three stand-alone flat buildings connected by a
large number of crumbling supports. The first building is quite low, the second
somewhat taller with a square block on top and the third taller still with a
Triwizard Shield on top.
A
complicated looking rooftop
You
can see a number of smoking Cauldrons in there and some Bird Statues to the far
end. Two ramps are leading down there. The left one is where the 3 moveable
blocks are standing and leads to a dead end with and unmoveable block. REMEMBER
this ramp! The other ramp on your right side and in front of the staircase is
leading to the Rooftop. Take that one now.
The
first square you will enter
Notice
a Stone Goblin in the front left corner of this room? Multiple Jinx will provide
you Beans. You’ll find more Goblets of this kind. Basically
you then have to lift a Cauldron with Wingardium Leviosa and direct one to a
support where it will explode and destroy a crumbling wall. Start with the
opposite support in this first square and enter the next opened square.
Summon
all Beans and rewards in there and Jinx the 3rd Dark Detector. Also
destroy the opposite wall and summon more Beans. Return
to the first room and smash the left wall. Inside this next square you can climb
to the first platform. Jinx the 3rd Dragon Statue on your left and
face the next building where you see the block on top of the roof. Cast
combined Wingardium Leviosa on the block and move it forward from the ledge.
Then drop it down to the space between the first two buildings.
Get
the block forwards and throw it from its ledge
Jump
down and use the Cauldron to break the left support. You will now enter the
front left corner of the roof where a fountain stands. Lift the Cauldron and
explode the fountain. A Mini-Shield is now on top of the water jet. Cast Accio
and summon your 5th Mini-Shield.
The
5th Mini-Shield was hidden in the fountain!
Break
the opposite support and extinguish the fire jet. Apply the previous Cauldron to
destroy the next support and enter the gallery between the first two rooftop
buildings, where the block is now standing. Destroy the supports of both
adjacent rooms of the second building. In the one on your right hold down the
fire jet. The one on your left contains two Chocolate Frogs to grab. Also empty
the Goblet filled with Beans standing by the wall. Both Frogs (and the Beans)
will always regenerate on your next trip(s) and theoretically may provide you
unlimited Health. So REMEMBER this room on the left side of the second building!
Return
to the previous stretch where the block now stands and cast combined Wingardium
Leviosa to move it through one of the open side rooms in front of the third
building that contains the Shield. Climb from the block to the ledge.
Move
the block to the other stretch
Position
it in front of building # 3
Climb up to the Triwizard Shield
Collect
the 4th Triwizard Shield and your Status will be upgraded. You’ll
return to the Level Select Screen and will have to find one more Triwizard
Shield to open the next location. Select
Hogwarts Exterior and return to this
point without lifting the block this time. You will have to smash the previous
support walls again though, but this will give you more Beans. Also Jinx the
Goblets for extra Beans and by all means get those 2 Choc Frogs in the room I
asked you to remember.
So
now you’re standing back on the strip between buildings 2 and 3. Move
left and break the next support. There is a Fire Salamander in that square, so
be prepared to Spray and Jinx it. Also collect your 6th Mini-Shield
in there. Break the next support. You’ll be entering the other side of the
rooftop and will see a path on your left leading to another area. Avoid that for
now.
First turn right and shut down a fire jet. Now you’ll be entering the far right corner of the roof where you see 4 Bird Statues and another Cauldron. Apply the Cauldron to destroy each Statue and grab the Beans. You’ll find the 7th Mini-Shield within reach of one of them. Destroy the adjacent support with the same Cauldron and shake all the Beans out of the Goblet in there.
Just
for the fun you may also destroy the other support that gives you more Beans. Now
return to the path you previously saw on your left and pick up two rewards
before putting out three fire jets in a row. You’ll be entering a vast square
with fire spawning Salamanders. Smash the tower supports with the Cauldrons to
extinguish the fires and destroy leftover Salamanders. The spikes in front of
the tower support between two Bird Statues will drop down onto the floor. Near
one of the smashed tower supports you will find your 8th Mini-Shield.
Another
Mini-Shield!
When
the final tower support behind the spikes has been smashed as well, a Triwizard
Shield will appear in the middle of the field! But wait before collecting it!

There
is still some fun to do first! See all these Fountains and Bird Statues? Get all
their Beans out with the Cauldrons! Also
there are Goblets to be emptied, and there is your 4th Dragon Statue
and your 4th Dark Detector to be Jinxed in the corners near the
Fountains.
Finally
collect your 5th Triwizard Shield and you’ll beam back to the
Standing
back on the octagonal star-tile the only thing that matters now is SPEED! Start
running from the stairs, turn left in the direction of the 3 blocks keeping near
the banister (avoid climbing a block). Go down the ramp I told you to remember
and down there is your Vanishing Card.
Pause here and press ESC and select End Level. You’ll end up in the Level Select Screen and in the Quests Screen you will find this Card visible now. Then select Hogwarts Exterior again for a next trip.
